THE CALL

Rowan’s POV

She shot to her feet. “I’m coming with you.”

“Ivy—”

“Don’t even think about telling me to stay here,” she cut me off. “That’s my son. I’m not sitting around while you play detective.”

For a second, I just stared at her, then nodded. “Let’s go.”

We sped through the city, the tension in the car thick enough to choke on. My jaw was clenched, and focus razor-sharp.

As we pulled up to the security office where my team was waiting, my pulse quickened. This was it. We were finally getting answers—or at least a piece of the puzzle.

I opened the door for her, my hand resting briefly on her lower back as we walked inside. It was a small gesture, but it sent a strange warmth through me.

My security officer who had come to the school greeted us, already pulling up the footage. I leaned in, my eyes narrowing as I studied the screen.

“There,” I said, pointing. “That’s him.”

Ivy's breath caught in her throat as we saw Noah on the screen, his small frame cli

A FATHER’S DESPERATION Ivy’s POV Noah’s absence tore at my heart. The hospital room felt like a cage, the bouquet’s note—You can’t escape me, Ivy—still burning in my mind. My hand clutched my stomach, the baby’s fragile life urging me to act despite the doctor’s warning. Rowan’s vow to end this echoed, but I couldn’t wait, not with my son in danger. Why did everyone keep targeting Noah? First Gabe, now Maddox—my fury drowned my fear as I slipped into my shoes, my heart pounding. “Ivy, stay here!” Rowan snapped, grabbing my arm as I yanked off the hospital gown. His gray eyes blazed, his bandaged shoulder tense from the crash. “You’re pregnant. It’s too dangerous.” “I’m not losing Noah,” I said, my voice sharp, pulling free. “He’s my son, Rowan!” Tears stung my eyes, but I shoved past him, grabbing my jacket. His hand caught mine, his touch sparking heat despite my anger. “I’m going after him,” he said, his voice rough, pulling me close. “But you stay safe. For the baby.” “I’

THE CORPORATE WAR Rowan’s POV The note in Ivy’s hospital room—You can’t escape me, Ivy—fueled my rage, a burning vow to crush Gabe and Maddox before they touched my family again. The crash, Maddox’s cold smirk as he rammed our car, and Gabe’s betrayal with that photo of Noah twisted like a knife in my gut. Ivy sat in her hospital bed, pale but fierce, her green eyes locked on mine, her hand clutching her stomach where our baby fought to survive. Noah was with Sarah, safe for now, but the threat loomed, and I gripped my gun, ready to end this war. I stormed into the boardroom at Douglas Enterprises, my suit wrinkled, my arm still aching from the graze. My board members stared, their faces tense. “Maddox’s company poached three major clients,” Daniel, my secretary, said, slamming a report down. “They’re bleeding us dry, Boss. If this keeps up, we’re looking at a takeover.” I cursed, my fist hitting the table. “He’s not just after my company,” I growled, my voice low. “He’s wi

CRASH AND CONFRONTATION Ivy’s POV The world spun as our car skidded off the road. The crunch of metal echoed, Noah’s scream piercing my heart as I clutched my stomach, fear for our unborn baby choking me. Rowan’s arm shot across me, shielding us, his gray eyes blazing with rage as he swerved to avoid another hit. Maddox’s car sped off, vanishing into the L.A. night. “Ivy, Noah, you okay?” Rowan barked, his voice rough, kicking open his door. He yanked mine open, pulling me out, his hands steady despite the blood on his bandaged arm. Noah scrambled into my arms, sobbing, and I held him tight, my heart pounding. “We’re fine,” I said, my voice shaking, checking Noah for injuries. “He tried to kill us, Rowan!” My eyes burned, rage and fear crashing together as I glared at the empty road where Maddox fled. Rowan’s jaw clenched, his hand gripping my shoulder, his touch grounding me. “He’s not getting away,” he growled, pulling us behind the car as sirens wailed in the distance. “I

A MOTHER’S TRUTH Rowan’s POV Ivy’s pale face as she clutched her stomach haunted me, her doctor’s warning—reduce stress or lose the baby—ringing in my ears. The video of Bella and Maddox plotting to “end” us, the leaked designs, Gabe’s photo with Noah—it all fueled my rage as I sped toward her adoptive mother’s house, determined to uncover the truth about the Kelly family. Ivy sat beside me, her hand gripping mine, her green eyes shadowed with fear. Noah was in the backseat, his small hands clutching his dinosaur toy, oblivious to the storm brewing. I’d end this chaos before it claimed her, our baby, or our son. My gun rested in my holster, a cold reminder of the stakes. “We’re getting answers,” I said, my voice low, squeezing Ivy’s hand. Her ring glinted, a promise I’d fight for. “Your mom’s hiding something, and I’m done with secrets.” Ivy nodded, her jaw tight. “She hung up on me,” she said, her voice trembling. “She knows about my real parents, Rowan. Why won’t she tell

TANGLED LIES Ivy’s POV Rowan’s phone screen glowed in the dim bedroom, the grainy footage showing Bella’s cold smile as she leaned toward Maddox, whispering, “The Kelly inheritance is ours once she is gone.” My heart pounded, the warmth of Rowan’s arms from our heated night together fading against the icy fear gripping me. Noah slept down the hall, innocent in his bed, while our unborn baby stirred inside me. Bella’s voice from the hospital intercom, Gabe’s photo with Noah, Maddox’s armed men—it all crashed together, threatening the family we were fighting for. Rowan’s hand gripped mine, his gray eyes blazing as the video looped. “They’re after your inheritance,” he said, his voice low, rough with rage. He pulled me closer, his breath hot on my neck, the memory of his lips on my skin last night still lingering. “I won’t let them touch you, Ivy.” I nodded, my throat tight, my hand brushing my stomach. “The Kelly inheritance,” I whispered, the photo of my real mother flashing i

SWEET LOVE Rowan’s POV Without another word, I pulled her down into my bed as I knelt above her, staring down as my breath tightened in my chest. Her lips were swollen from our kiss. Her cheeks flushed, eyes a little glassy. She looked like sin wrapped in silk, lying there in my bed like she belonged nowhere else. “Ivy…” My voice came out hoarse. I brushed her hair from her face, fingers trembling. “Are you sure? After everything tonight—your stomach—” “I’m fine.” Her voice was soft, but firm. “The pain’s gone. It was just tension. Stress. The baby’s okay.” I hesitated, my palm resting lightly on her bare stomach. The thought of hurting her—or our child—made me cold. I couldn’t shake the image of her doubled over earlier. Couldn’t forget the sharp panic that clawed at my gut. But then she cupped my face, pulling me closer until our foreheads touched. “Stop holding back, Rowan,” she whispered. “Please. I'm not some fragile vessel.” Her words unraveled something inside me. I
