AMARA'S POV

I had thought I was submerged into unconsciousness completely, but it turns out that in actual fact, it wasn't. Yes, I was weak and unable to move, and I could see my own blood pooling right Infront of me, but I could hear voices around and touch things if it was within my reach.

I knew when Aidan had carried me, but I post a couple memories of what had happened before I opened my eyes and found myself lying on a bed.

"I'll be right back, okay? I'll get some help. No one's here, but I'll call Dylan, okay?"

If the side of my mouth didn't have so much blisters that it hurt to say a word, I would have smiled scornfully.

It would be better off leaving me here to bleed to death than calling him, because I knew he wouldn't come. No one asides him liked me.
