“That smells really good babe” I shouted from the dining room. “Thanks, love…it’s almost done,” she said. “What’s on your mind?” I asked Emma with concern, seeing that she is lost in her thoughts, as we sat opposite one another in the dining room and wait for our dinner which Cara was busy preparing in the kitchen. “Pardon?” it wasn’t that she didn’t hear me, it was that she wasn’t paying any attention to her surroundings and was startled by my voice being directed to her. “What’s bothering you?” I asked again. “Xander…I need to tell you something” she leaned forward and whispered loudly.
