CHAPTER 37: THE MALDIVES

MIA’S P.O.V

I took a sip of my strawberry daiquiri, admiring the turquoise blue water in front of me. Soaking in the sun I laid on a sunbed with nothing but my white bikini and rainbow sarong. I was done being ‘Goody two shoes’, my abandonment and time in jail, gave me a lot of time to think and go through my life, inspecting each detail of my past and all I realized was that no matter how much of good I have done, I was always let down by life. I no longer believed that ‘if you do good, good will come to you, but that doesn’t mean that I would no longer be a good person, it just means that I would no longer be always so sweet and innocent, letting everyone does something wrong to me, get away with it. If I know that someone is trying to harm me, I would no longer be afraid of it and try to move away from it…I would stand up for myself and I would most definitely fight for myself!!!
