Brianna went to the bar earlier than usual. Her heart won’t stop beating fast as reality begins to sink into her brain. She's going to be sleeping with a client tonight in exchange for a hefty amount of cash.

A part of her does not regret it, since it’s for her mother’s treatment, but there was this part of her that doesn’t want to accept that reality.

She might be dancing naked in front of those men, but selling her body was a different story. She has dreams and hopes to achieve them some day, and she knows she will.

“Okay, let’s do this.” She ran her fingers through her hair before she knocked on Zendy’s office.

She heard her muffled voice and she opened the door.

“Darling, how are you feeling?” Zendy greeted her when she entered her office.

Brianna forced herself to smile at her. “I’m a little bit nervous, but totally fine,” she admitted.

Zendy tapped her shoulders and gave her a tight smile. “You’ll be fine, Bri. Come, I’ll give you some heads up about this client of ours.” She even winked at her before ushering her inside the office.

Brianna let out a nervous sigh. She expected Mr. Smith to be her first client. That man has been bugging Zendy ever since she started working at Valkyrie.

“So, your client is a bit famous. He had some instructions in here.” Zendy handed her an envelope.

Inside was the do’s and don’ts that she must do while performing.

Brianna read it all and she couldn't help but gasp at the ideas written in the two-page paper.

“What is this? Are you serious?” Brianna looked at Zendy with disbelief written in her face. “I thought it was Mr. Smith?”

The beautiful manager let out a sigh, “No, darling. Our client was determined to have you and paid a huge amount of cash just so he can secure his spot.”

“Who is he? You said he’s famous…” Brianna’s mind was filled with images as she imagined herself with this man.

What will happen to her?

Earlier she’s just nervous, now she’s freaking terrified.

“Don’t worry about him, darling. He won’t hurt you. He valued his reputation so much to do things that might compromise his career.” Zendy’s assurance did nothing to calm her raging heart.

But Brianna doesn’t really have any choice but to accept it, the client had already paid and she already got half of the payment for her mother’s treatment.

She stood and smiled at Zendy. “I’ll get going now, I still have to prepare.” She raised the folder, indicating that she needs to do all the stuff that was written in there.

Zendy stood and guided her to the door. “Good luck, Bri. I promise, you won’t regret this one.” There was something in her voice, but Brianna dismissed that.

Brianna went to the VIP room to get herself ready. It’s already six in the evening and the client will be there at eight in the evening.

It was her first time to be inside the VIP room ever since she started working in Valkyrie. The room was huge and the scent was sweet. In the middle of the room was a huge bed with heart-shaped pillows stacked on the center.

There was a love couch on the other side of the room. Her whole face blushed as she remembered one of the instructions of her client.

She walked toward the closet and her mouth gaped open when she saw all the scandalous pieces of clothing that hung in there.

She picked one, a scandalous red, mesh bikini.

“And I am going to wear this while having sex with this man?”

Though she’s used to exposing her body to the bar’s clients, she is still new to actual sex. She had made out with some men she knew but she never really had sex with them, so she’s still considered a virgin.

Feeling so hopeless and nervous at the same time, Bri began to prepare for her big night.

As she looked at herself in the mirror, she realized her face had aged fast. Maybe because of the excessive use of makeup. And tonight, she will be using less makeup, as per her client’s request.

She will be exposing herself to this stranger that she will never get the chance to know.

She shrugged those thoughts off her mind, Bri went to the bathroom and took a shower.

Phoenix can’t sit still. He was excited and at the same time terrified of the things that he was about to do.

Fucking a damn stripper was never his thing.

“Did you make sure the manager signed the NDA I sent?”

Yes, call him paranoid or what, he has to make sure that this will never go to the public. His reputation is everything to him, it’s the only thing that he’s proud of, and one taint is bought to make his world crumble.

Levi, his secretary nodded. He stood in front of the senator’s desk in his office.

“Yes, Senator. You don't have to worry about it, I personally handed her the paper and I saw her sign it.” Levi answered in full confidence.

Phoenix pulled his tie and opened the few buttons of his polo. He leaned back on his swivel chair and pulled a cigarette from his stash and lit it.

His eyes kept on wandering back into the mounted clock on the wall. His body was burning already with need, his anticipation was killing him.

“Shit!” He let out a breathy curse as he adjusted himself on his swivel chair.

“Are you alright, Senator?” Levi looked at him with concern in his eyes, then he looked down at the center of his thighs, Phoenix glared at him. “Do you need anything, sir?” Levi added.

“Nothing, you can now leave.” He does not want to sound rude, but he can see the way Levi held his laugh that his own secretary was mocking him.

Phoenix’s grip slipped on the ballet barre, his knee buckling as he crashed onto the studio mat. Across the room, his dance instructor, Misha, winced.“Enough,” Misha said, tossing Phoenix a towel. “You’re pushing too hard.”Phoenix hurled the towel against the mirror. “I’ve been crawling for months. You said I’d walk by summer. Walk, not limp like a—”“Like a man who survived a bullet?” Misha snapped. “You’re alive. Brianna stared at the studio lights, her palms slick against the arms of the interview chair. The makeup artist had caked on extra concealer to hide the stress-breakout on her jawline. Across the set, the host of Truth Hour, Lila Cruz, adjusted her earpiece, flashing Brianna a smile sharp enough to cut glass.“Remember,” Sarah Chen muttered, adjusting Brianna’s lapel mic, “stick to the foundation’s talking points. Don’t let her bait you into—”“Talking about Phoenix. Yeah, I got it.” Brianna swatted Sarah’s hand away. “I’m not an idiot.”Sarah’s jaw tightened. “You blew up at a donor last week for asking about his recovery. So yeah, let’s pretend you’re not a live wire.”The producer waved frantically. 30 seconds.Brianna’s phone buzzed in Sarah’s pocket. “It’s Levi. Again.”“Ignore him.” Brianna straightened. “He’s just pissed I didn’t run the segment by him.”“Because it’s a terrible idea.” Sarah shoved the phone back. “You’re giving Lila Cruz a primetime slot to grill you. The aftermath of the exposé was a whirlwind. Brianna became a symbol of resilience, a voice for the voiceless. She was inundated with interview requests, speaking engagements, and offers to write a book about her experiences. Sarah Chen, ever the savvy strategist, carefully managed the flood, ensuring Brianna was protected from exploitation and that her message remained clear and consistent. The money from the National Informer settlement, while initially a source of shame, now provided a foundation for a new beginning. Brianna used a portion of it to secure a comfortable home for herself, her mother, and Sophie, a sanctuary far removed from the shadows of Valkyrie and the glare of the media spotlight. She also established a foundation dedicated to supporting victims of media harassment and fighting for freedom of speech. But amidst the accolades and the opportunities, Brianna struggled to find her footing. The trauma of the shooting, the betrayal by the National Informer, and the los

The leak started as a whisper, a tremor on the surface of the stagnant pond that was the accepted narrative. Sarah Chen, her lawyer, called it “controlled demolition.” Brianna called it terrifying. Each carefully placed piece of information, each anonymous quote, chipped away at the National Informer's fortress of lies. The first sign of cracks came when a rival tabloid ran a sidebar article titled, “Senator’s Sweetheart – Victim or Villain?” Levi called Brianna, his voice tight with anxiety.“They’re onto something,” he said. “They’re asking questions about the NDA. Be careful.”“I am,” Brianna replied, her voice steadier than she felt. “Sarah Chen’s got this.”But the unease lingered, a knot in her stomach that tightened with each passing day. Then came the phone call. The call that changed everything. Brianna was braiding Sophie's hair, the familiar routine a small comfort in the storm brewing around them. The caller ID was blocked."Hello?" Brianna answered cautiously.A gruff voi

The decision to break free from her gilded cage was a seed planted in fertile ground. Brianna watered it with newfound courage, nurtured it with a burgeoning sense of self-worth, and watched as it began to sprout, its tendrils reaching towards the sunlight of truth. But breaking free from the constraints of the NDA wouldn’t be easy. The National Informer had deep pockets and a reputation for ruthless tactics. She needed a plan, a strategy, and allies she could trust. Her first call was to Levi. Despite his role in facilitating the NDA, she knew he had acted out of concern, not malice. He was, at heart, a decent man caught in a web of political intrigue."Levi," she said, her voice firm, when he answered the phone. "I need your help."There was a long pause. "Brianna?" he said, his voice laced with surprise. "What's wrong? Are you okay? Did something happen?""I'm fine, Levi," she said. "But I can't stay silent anymore. I need to tell my story. I need to break free from this agreement.

The four walls of the apartment pressed in on Brianna, each hour amplifying the suffocating silence she had bought with cold, hard cash. The TV blared a mindless sitcom, a pathetic attempt to fill the void, but the hollow laughter only served to amplify the gnawing emptiness inside. She was a gilded cage, with all the comforts, but devoid of freedom.Days blurred into weeks, each one a carbon copy of the last. Brianna spent her time cleaning, organizing, and staring out the window, watching the world go by, a silent observer in her own life. She called her mother every day, assuring her that everything was fine, that she had found a new job, that they were going to be okay. But she couldn't bring herself to tell her the truth, to confess the source of their newfound wealth. The shame was too great.Sophie, thankfully, was blissfully unaware of the chaos that had engulfed their lives. She was happy in her new school, making new friends, and adjusting to their new surroundings. Brianna
