She was exhausted after surveying the entire island's operations; it had been a day since they arrived, and Dylan was with his mother. Everything was going so well when she wasn't there, so she was relieved; it would have been difficult if she had to handle everything.

“There is a video call for you, Mother.”

“Who exactly is it?”

“It's uncle.”

“All right, give me the bill.”

Anne handed her the tab, which she placed on her desk in front of her. Her older brother doesn't call very often. What was he doing now?

“Why did you call?” she questioned.

“You don't even know how to greet your brother?”

“Spare me the nonsense and get right to the point. I'm exhausted as it is, and I need to rest.”

“Don't you have time for me?”

“When was the last time you made time for me?”

“I'm not going to argue with you.
