It was his fault that he arrived now. She had finally finished her meal.
“Dylan, go spend some time with your mother. We'll leave tonight as soon as I finish my work here. “Anne, please accompany me,” she said.
When she entered her office, the congressman rose to greet her. She had known this man for a decade before he became a congressman; he was a lowly politician with no funds or support, but look at him now. Time truly flies.
“What a surprise, Congressman? I'm trying to sift through my mind to figure out why you're here, but I've hit a brick wall.”
