Mila slowly walked out of her room. Inside her fist was an SOS message asking her parents to come help her. She was trying not to attract anyone's attention as she walked out of her room and heard Ezra's voice in the hall, talking to someone. Mila peeked from behind the stair railing and found Ezra talking to someone. Meanwhile the rest of his men were busy playing on their cell phones or standing like statues by the door. There was no one on guard on the second floor.

Mila quickly walked to her parents' room which was always locked. She bent her back and slid the crumpled paper in her hand into the gap between the door and the floor. Then Mila quickly left her parents' room before Ezra's men saw her and suspected her of something.

That morning image of her slipping a piece of SOS paper haunted Mila. Day by day she was more and more convinced that no one would come to save her. Even Hunter didn't care about him and only wanted the treasure that belonged to Kohen James.
