ZYRA. "I'm lowkey tired of all these dates. It's a bit stressful if you asked me." I told Ree while she combed my hair as usual. Jade has yet again asked me out on a day when our last date was like the day before yesterday. "I know, but you're still going." I rolled my eyes. I was going to be nice and yes, he is a good conversationist, but common now. "Like we don't even talk about anything else other than our next date." Ree shook her head. "And this one is what he called 'the big reveal.' I think it is so odd, and I never thought I was going to say this, but Lane was spontaneous. He had fucking ideas and things for us to talk about, other than dates." "So, what does this mean?" Ree asked happily. ARDYN. Spain was beautiful. I could admit that much. The weather was pleasant, the food was excellent, and the people seemed to have mastered the art of enjoying life without constantly looking at their watches. It was everything a man could ask for when he needed a change of environment. Unfortunately, none of it mattered. Not when the one person I wanted to share it with wasn’t here. I stood by the balcony of my apartment, a glass of whiskey in my hand, staring at the city below. It was late, and the streets were beginning to quiet down. Somewhere in the distance, I could hear music playing, accompanied by the occasional laughter of people who probably had no idea how fortunate they were to have nothing weighing on their minds. I had a lot on my mind. I envied them. For the first time in my life, I had absolutely no control over something I wanted. Her. Princess. It was almost ridiculous how easily her name could ruin an otherwise decent evening. My evening.

ZYRA. "Yes. It's really not that serious and it's just a date." I explained to Ree while she straightened my hair. "Okay. Are you going to obey Lane or?" She was smiling. Something was off but I wasn't in the mood to do some digging so I let her be for now. It was just suspicious that she was not hating Lane in this moment. I sighed. "It's not like I'm obeying him or shit like that but, I don't think I'll let him kiss me again or anything like that." It still haunts me till this day. I feel like this cheater from a far land. "Valid." She added the final touches. "And I'm done." I looked at my hair. "Perfecto! (Perfect.)" I ran through it and got up. "Putting in all this effort just to go out with another man is crazy." Ree couldn't stop laughing. I rolled my eyes and got my dress. It was a short A-Line woven dress. Nothing too serious. Just as I was done, I saw his car pull up. "Don't say it like that." ZYRA. “I can see someone is having fun with a pen and paper?” I heard Ree say as she walked into the lobby. I was in the hammock just enjoying some peace and quiet. Some me time. “No, bitch.” I shifted a bit so she could get in. This mad woman kept her feet on my face. “I’m writing down baby names and if you don’t get your fucking feet in place, I’m not going to show you this list.” I knew how to get to her. She immediately did as she was told. “Okay. Okay. I have a few ideas.” She was already excited while I just rolled my eyes. Ree was a mad woman. “Okay. Lay them out.” I laughed softly watching her trying to remember all the names she had picked out. She started. “Firstly, I would like her to be named after me. So Rynelle.” I looked at her. “Girl!” “I’m serious. It’s literally my name with one letter removed.” I shook my head. This girl cannot be serious. “And what’s the next one?” This was amusing. ARDYN. Sometimes I sit down and ask myself, how did we not know that it was Ward all along? I mean, we looked into him. We did a heavy amount of research. We were on him at all times, so how did we miss it? The same question I’m asking myself now. How did I miss Jade being attracted to Princess because she had similarities with Sabrina. I was pissed! But I’m not going to do anything for now. I’ll let them go about their lives until I’m ready. I’ve stopped sending letters since after the kiss, and I let Princess be. For now. It was hard considering that I had to watch the reason for my being, be with someone else. I had to watch the love of my life entertain another man because of my foolishness and shortcomings. It was crazy, but I did this to myself so why should I complain. “Yes. I’m going to meet with her in a few minutes.
