Chapter 7

"oh, is  there anything important you would like to say to me?" fortune thought he wouldn't run all the way just for a greeting. "actually, I was hoping to ask you out for dinner if it's ok with you". Asia smiled at her friend mischievously and motioned for her friend to accept. "ok we can go out for dinner but I must be back before eight" fortune responded with a solemn expression. " ok I promise to bring you back before that time and I will come pick you up at the school gate at six o clock since I'm not familiar as to where you staying and can you please give me your number?"Brandon said this in one breath. fortune nodded and gave Brandon her cell phone number. After class, Asia was so eager for her friend as if she was the one going for dinner. they left school at 5pm as usual and headed straight for their apartment. Asia chose an outfit for her friend which was  simple but nice. a pair of short boots, some jeans and a sweater on top cause the weather wasn't good enough for wearing clothes that were short or had so much exposure. she helped fortune with some light makeup and was good to go. looking at the time which was already 5:55pm, Asia escorted fortune at the school gate and found that Brandon had already been standing next to his luxurious car. who would have thought that this guy even had such a car he walked towards the two girls, greeted Asia politely and left with fortune. Brandon drove for almost 30 minutes before arriving at a fancy restaurant where he had arranged dinner. Fortune was taken aback by these events cause she didn't expect this guy to pay so much attention and even bring her to such a place. 

Seeing how fancy looking this restaurant was, she started wondering where this guy got his money from. Like his car, then this fancy restaurant, fortune couldn't restrain her curiosity and asked. "if I may ask, where did you get so much money that you can afford  to bring me to such a high end  expensive restaurant?". Brandon looked up to her and smiled "my father always deposits alot of money into my account every week and at times, I don't even use it, he also gave me the car I'm using at the moment so literally everything I have now was prepared by my father". Brandon explained circumspectly making sure he didn't miss out a point. Fortune nodded her head, "that explains alot" she now had a comprehensive idea. The meals were served according to their orders and started to eat while they spoke once in a while. As soon as they were done eating, they were served some dessert. Fortune was really stuffed and couldn't eat much of the dessert."Fortune have you ever had a boyfriend?" . This sudden question took fortune aback for a few seconds then she responded  " no, I didn't get the chance and I wasn't interested cause I was always busy with my books". Brandon looked at her with some doubt "you are so beautiful,how is it possible that you have never had a boyfriend?". Fortune sighed heavily "yes, I know it sound absurd but it's true, I have never had a boyfriend but I sure did have someone I liked alot" Fortune said this honestly. So there was someone in her heart, Brandon's eyes darkened as he thought and asked again "the person you liked, is he still in your heart?".  

Fortune looked straight into Brandon's eyes and smiled " I will be straight forward with you, it's been years and I do think about him once in a while" fortune said this while observing Brandon's expression. "so you looking forward to being with him?". "oh no no, fortune denied, actually me and him can never be, we never spoke about love, neither has he ever said he liked me so it was all my fantasy". Brandon nodded his head and understood. "are you willing to give someone else the chance to be in your heart?". "well yes I am, I'm not waiting for anyone or anything". " I see, so will you give me that chance? can you be my girlfriend?" fortune was shocked,she didn't expect him to say this so soon. "y-you  w-want me to be your girlfriend?" fortune stammered as she asked being completely flabbergasted. she had not prepared herself for this today, definitely not. " yes fortune, I want you to be my girlfriend, I don't know if I'm moving too fast but I believe in chasing what I want and what I want is you so I won't waste time" Brandon said with a solemn expression. Fortune hesitated before responding "ok can you give me some time to think about it?". I didn't prepare myself for this, no I need to think about it first fortune thought to herself. "alright, I will give you time you don't have to worry" Brandon responded with an intoxicating smile on his face. shall we leave now?". "yes, sure thing" fortune responded with a smile and they walked out. Brandon acted like a gentleman, opened the passengers door and motioned for her to get into the car with his hand. He went to the other side and  sat in the driver's seat, started the car and drove out. He drove to where Fortune's apartment was with her directions.
