ログインScarlett
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My fiancè was with another woman. I was about to get out of the car and go confront him immediately but something in me just made me wait. Daniel pulled Rhea inside the hotel and I got out of my car to follow them behind. I couldn't believe how they were smiling and holding hands with love. Daniel opened the door for Rhea and then walked in behind her. I could feel my tears coming but the anger I was feeling in that moment wouldn't let me cry. I gathered the courage and walked straight into the room Daniel had just entered with Rhea. What my eyes met was the last thing I ever expected from Daniel Cross. He was lying on that bed with his hand on Rhea's hips as she kissed him. “You're driving me crazy Rhea," Daniel said while I wondered how they didn't even see me standing there. “I'm all yours, Daddy," Rhea replied before she looked back quickly. Daniel asked, “What's wrong?" when she stopped. Daniel then looked at the door only to realize that I was standing there watching him do all the things he had not been doing to me for another woman. “Scarlett," he said, his voice filled with shock while Rhea slowly got off him. “I see you're having a great time at the office huh?" I said with a confident smile. "No…no, this isn't what you think, baby. I can explain we were just—” “I'm sorry for disturbing you guys. Can you continue?" I said, closing the door in his face before he could get to me. My chest felt tight as I made my way to the lift. I didn't even know which floor it was taking me to. All kinds of thoughts came into my mind but disbelief was something I wasn't going to face. The lift opened and I was luckily on the first floor. I quickly ran out of the lift and made my way to the parking lot. I got into my car and began to drive home. The moment the car stopped I got out and rushed inside the penthouse. The maid asked if Daniel would be coming home for dinner but I told her to leave everything. I ascended the stairs and just as I reached our room Daniel was calling my name from downstairs. I locked the bedroom and took a seat on our bed. I've been so ignorant about everything but it all made sense now. Daniel had been cheating and I was overlooking it all. I thought I could trust him but he turned out to be a beast too. “Scarlett, I know you're in. Please open the door, I can explain," he said from outside, but how could one even explain cheating? “Babe, please open the door. I'm sorry, OK," he said, and that just made me want to slap the daylights out of him. I had had enough of his knocking, so I opened the door when he almost held my hand, but I asked him not to dare. “How long has this been going on?" I asked, looking dead in his eyes. “What? No baby it's not like that I was just trying to—” “Daniel Cross answer my damn questions? How long?" I asked my tone seriously. "Not…not so long. We were just hanging out Scarlett it's—” "Not what I think it is?” I cut him off with a pained smile on my face. “Scarlett please. I'm sorry we…we can work this out. You know I love you right?” he said. “Work it out? Daniel, are you listening to yourself right now? I've told you to stay away from that woman countless times. Ever since you had that charity event together, I've been complaining about how you changed, and all you said was that it was work stress, Daniel, but guess what?" I said before adding, “It was never that. You were busy having the best time with another woman while I spent sleepless nights polishing your presentations and proposals, Daniel." "No, babe, please hear me out. I've really been working. Rhea and I are just business partners OK.” “I'm anything but stupid, Daniel. I know what I saw, heard, and read OK. You made a fool out of me Daniel.” "Scarlett, what are you saying our wedding is in a few days?” “You can marry her instead,” I said before he held my hand and fiercely removed it. “Scarlett, please, it's not like I love him, OK. I was just trying to have fun. It's you that—” It was at that moment that I realized that I had messed up my life for the wrong man. I spent days and nights making sure everything was perfect on Daniel's side. Be it his presentation that I had to spend sleepless nights polishing just so nothing would go wrong or the business meetings I had to organize special venues for. Then it hit my mind. Daniel's back-and-forth meetings in countries that are supposed to be romantic destinations. It all made sense now. I've been doing the booking for him and Rhea thinking it was his PA that he was accompanying him. My heart felt like bursting at that moment. I walked out of that room and made my way downstairs without even knowing where I would be driving to. I was now in my car, a few kilometers away from Zoe's place, when a horrible pain coming from my belly button intensified. I quickly hit the brakes and managed to get out of the car but the pain was now going down my legs. I could feel them weakening as flashbacks of Daniel and Rhea started playing in my head. The kissing, the messages, and the voice notes on Daniel's computer. I lowered my body to try to reach for my phone but couldn't as my sight was blurring. I felt a wet liquid run down my legs before I heard an old woman asking me to hang in there.CHAPTER 229Scarlett *Months later*My pregnancy is now in its last semester and I can barely do anything. I find myself sleeping or eating. The amount of weight I had put on was one I wish I could still keep I made my way to the living room and found it dark and empty when I switched on the lights. No one was there, not even the guard. That was weird. I called for the maids but no one was coming. There was no way I was alone in the mansion. It wasn't like Aunt to leave without informing me. I made my way into the kitchen and found that it was empty. A part of me was just worried. Something felt off. I called my security, but no one was answering. I dialed my aunt's phone only to hear it ringing in the sitting room.I honestly didn't know what to think. I made my way upstairs but didn't find anyone there. Now it felt even scarier.“Scarlett!" I heard Aldric calling my name in a serious tone.“Babe," I responded, rushing to descend the staircase only to slow down halfway when my ey
CHAPTER 228Aldric I had to make a very difficult decision after I told my mother about Melissa being behind my brother's murder. We all wanted justice therefore united to make everything so convincing that Melissa wouldn't even know that I was playing her.Scarlett and I made up the night before I started devoting all my attention to Melissa. I knew everything would work out as long as we all stuck to the plan. The days and energy I spent trying to cage Melissa were just the worst. I couldn't even picture myself wanting her in my life. She tried to cover her scales so deeply, but I was vigilant throughout everything. Her phone calls with Eva, Daniel, Damien, and Nia. I was listening to everything while she was under the impression that I was fast asleep. The worst part was remembering that I was spending nights next to my brother's murderer. It sometimes just made me want to give her a hot slap but I didn't want to ruin the surprise. With every opportunity I had, I tapped her phone
CHAPTER 227Daniel I was in my suite having a great time when I heard a loud knock on my door. I didn't remember wanting room service, so I asked who it was before Nia walked in.“Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked her."I'm here to put you in your damn place,” Nia replied while I just began to laugh."I'm not in the mood OK. What are you doing?”" I'm not alone. Someone else is here to see you,” Nia said before the door opened and Scarlett walked in with Zoe and Aldric.“What the hell?" I looked at them.“Don't you dare play shocked here Daniel. Did you really think I wouldn't know you were planning to get me back?" Scarlett asked with a serious look on her face.“Get you? I don't know what you're talking about," I answered before she played a video of Melissa and me discussing how to separate them.“I know what that sounds like but trust me. I had pure intentions, Scarlett. I would never hurt you I—" Two hot slaps landed on my cheeks. I could tell that something bad was happe
CHAPTER 226Melissa Karina walked into the room with her arms crossed. I didn't understand what she was doing there, but one thing was for certain: trouble was stirred.“Babe what's going on?" I asked Aldric with a confused look on my face.“You tell me Melissa," he answered with a cold expression.“I told you that you would regret messing with me right? Now look at you," Karina smiled while I pretended not to know about anything.“Guard!" Aldric said and then his driver walked in. The same man whose face looked like that of the person who knew about what I did to Elias.“Yes, sir," the man said as he walked in.“Do you know this face, Melissa?" Aldric asked me.“Babe what are you saying? This is your driver right?" I responded.“Melissa, I'm not playing with you. Do you remember this man from the day you murdered my brother!” Aldric shouted, and I knew trouble was up, and I was far from my defenses."No I…I don't know him or what you're talking about," I stood my ground.“Great," Al
CHAPTER 225Melissa Aldric and I arrived at the penthouse he bought me. For the first time, I could truly feel that I had Aldric where I wanted him. It was obvious that his money was now in my hands. I smiled with excitement every time I looked at myself in the mirror. He had gone to take a shower so I dialed Eva's number.I told her everything and she seemed worried. I honestly didn't have time to be scared. I had the money right in my face, so what was there to be scared about? The moment I heard footsteps coming downstairs I quickly ended the call and looked at Aldric with a smile. He returned it before coming to hug me.“You seem so happy," he whispered.“You're just so amazing, Aldric. You are blowing my mind," I looked at him.“Trust me this is nothing compared to what I'll give you once we're married. You are my world now. You have honestly fought for our love,” he said while I blushed."Did you say something about marriage?” I lifted my brows."Yes, I've made up my mind and
CHAPTER 224Scarlett I was in the garden with everyone when Aldric's Mom showed up again. I didn't even feel the need to look at her with bad eyes. One could tell that she was really sorry for everything that she had done. In her hands was a basket that had some flowers and fruits. “Scarlett, my child, I brought you and the babies this," she said, handing it to me, and I gladly took the basket. “Thank you Mrs. Stone," I smiled before she asked me to call her mother. That would be nice but I wasn't used to that yet. We asked her to take a seat and join our little conversation. It later became obvious that she and Aunt had more knowledge on the topic. Time began to fly so fast that my aunt pulled Zoe, Gina, and Praisely away so that they could help her cook while I remained with Aldric's Mom. But Gina was just going for snacks. There was silence for a few minutes after they had left before I looked up and realized that Mrs. Stone was looking at me strongly. It was as if she wante
