CHAPTER 2

Khloe

I woke up with a terrible migraine. I blinked my eye lids several times before leaving them shut for a while. I tried stretching my hands but noticed something prevented me from doing so. I opened only my right to see what was obstructing me.

I was on a bed in a room that smelled like hospital,my eyes travelled down to my legs which hidden under a blanket.

Looking to my left, I saw something connected to my hand; drip.

Beeping sounds came to my hearing and when I traced it's source, it was a heart monitor at my right side.

" Where am I?" I asked no one.

Someone walked into the room; it was.., wait who is that?

He rushed to me, smiling and hugging me tightly and Calling the name Khloe Smith.

" Don't hug her too tightly Michael she's still fragile." A beautiful familiar looking woman said.

" Go get the doctor Michael." She said to the lad who was still hugging me.

" Yes ma'am" He said before disengaging from the hug and leaving the room.

" Hey Khlo" The woman said, taking her seat beside me.

All I could do was stare at her. She frowned, probably noticing my strange attitude.

" Good day Mrs Smith" a man wearing a White coat said to the woman beside me.

"What's wrong with my daughter doctor? She's been acting strange" the woman said as her frown tightened.

"Daughter?" I said out loud, calling attention from everyone in the room. Only the doctor wasn't wearing a questioning look.

" Mind explaining whatever's going on?" The woman said staring at the doctor angrily.

"We need to talk, in my office ma'am"The doctor said to the woman.

She did nothing but stare at me then the young lad who hugged me, before leaving.

"You seriously do not remember me?"The lad said before receiving a negative nod from me.

In the Doctor's office

Mrs Smith

I couldn't believe my ears when the doctor said Khloe had lost her memory.

'did she really fall that hard?' I kept asking myself.

" There's absolutely no need to panick ma'am. It's just short term amnesia. She should recover in the next three days minimum." He assured me.

Even though he's assurance was pretty firm, I still doubted it in my heart. I mean, what if she never remembers me or nothing at all?

Don't blame me, I'm a mom whose daughter lost her memory. Anyone in my shoes would equally be as worried.

" So, when would she be discharged?" I asked the doctor.

"You can come pick her up tomorrow morning" he replied me, wearing a pleasant smile.

Khloe's ward

Khloe

The woman came in looking sad. The doctor trailed behind her wearing a pleasant smile.

"Let's go Michael"she said to the young lad.

Oh, Michael was his name.

Without saying anything else, the both the ward without saying anything, leaving me with the doctor.

"You're Khloe, you should always answer to Khloe" the doctor said.

"Khloe" I muttered.

" Yes, Khloe. A nurse would be here to administer your drugs to you. Make sure you eat enough and sleep well. You should be home with your family by tomorrow. Goodnight Khloe" he said before exiting the ward.

' What the hell happened to me?' I asked myself.

I tried connecting my thoughts but the more I tried, the farther it went away from me.

I decided to forget about it and give it time, maybe it would come back to me on it's own.

As I laid down awaiting the nurse, I closed my eyes only to see the image of a young girl crying. She looked really familiar, like I had seen her before.

Somewhere far away from the knowledge of man; The Infinite Nightwalkers werewolf pack.

"And what else was his offence?" Amigo asked, scribbling something in his book, not bothering to spare the female wolf in front of him a glance.

" He cheated on me, with another wolf's mate" she complained.

The beta was about to give his response when a wolf guard walked into the meeting without permission.

He walked away once he was done whispering into the beta's ear.

" This meeting is adjourned till the next moon. Then, judgement shall be passed onto your mate" he declared with a tightened jaw.

The lousy women was about to make a protest against his declaration but gave her decision a rethink when she saw the veins on his hands pop out as he matched away, his demeanor looking even more intimidating.

Few Minutes Later.

"What do you want Alexandra" Amigo asked with his teeth clenched.

" The Truth to be exposed" the sly werewolf said twisting her dirty blonde hair.

" What do you really want you devil" Amigo said, gripping her right hand in anger.

" Ah, ah, ah. Don't make the same mistake your mother made Amigo. It just might end well for you" Alexandra said, trying to loosen Amigo's grip on her.

" The pack cannot Know my mother died a rogue, it would be a shameful thing." Amigo said a bit calmly.

"So?" Alexandra said nonchalantly.

" So please keep it a secret. I have met all of your requirements already. What more do you seek?" Amigo said with pleading eyes.

"Your brother's blood" she suddenly replied, her tongue sliding out of her mouth as though she were a serpent.

"He is the next alpha, you can't have his blood. A rogue cannot lead a pack. You're rogue already, having his blood would make him go rogue too" Amigo explained.

"Fine then. On his day of coronation as alpha, I shall spill the bones" she said, smiling like a maniac before attempting to walk away.

"Wait" Amigo said reluctantly but helplessly.

" Do we have a deal?" the rogue she-wolf said drastically turning back.

" You can have my blood. That should do right?" Amigo said, negotiating with Alexandra.

" Seems fair enough. Tomorrow night, under the heart of the tree where the witch was burnt. See you there handsome." She winked before running away in her Wolf form.
