The next day came so fast, I felt like I didn't sleep at all. I opened my eyes with a wide smile on my face.
" I'm gonna be meeting Khloe today" Were the words I kept repeating.
I felt so excited like I was just meeting my crush personally for the very first time. It felt like I hadn't seen my best friend for a thousand years.
After my bath, I settled down to pick my outfit for more than an hour.
"Shouldn't you be in school?" Richardson asked from without my room.
"A minute" I yelled from within my room.
"Are you planning to go on a date after lectures or something?"My brother asked barging into myself room.
"Seriously, won't you ever stop barging into people's rooms? What if I was naked?" I asked vexed with my brother's attitude.
"Whatever" He said with an eye roll.
Several hours later***
I found it strange that Khloe wasn't in school today.
The doctor said she was going to be discharged the next day right?
She was a perfect attendance scholar, why would she decide to Miss a day at school?
Wait, maybe the doctor postponed her discharge.
I kept on talking to myself that I didn't even notice when I bumped into someone.
"Hey watch it frog face" I heard that very familiar voice yell.
Frog face; there was only one idiot that could ever call me that- James.
"Wow, he's alone today strange." John, one of James' disciples said.
"Oh yeah, pretty nerd isn't with you today. Heard she's gone kookoo" James teased, referring to Khloe.
"She isn't a nerd." I said to them even though I knew above every other person that my best friend was a big nerd.
"Oohh I'm.." James was about to go further with his teasing and bullying when Mr Bradford interrupted him.
"If you have any more classes, I'd advise you to attend them and if you don't, you can as well create some space in the school.hmmm?" He said, ending the conversation and dispersing the gathering.
My anger vanished immediately I remembered that I was going to visit Khloe today.
I texted my brother that I wasn't going to be home until seven in the evening before running to the bus station. I didn't want to be late on our very first meeting after her illness.
"Can't wait to see you Khloe." I whispered to myself before walking into the train with a broad smile on my face which I think the people on the train found strange, judging from the weird stares they passed me.

Tonight was the night. The night my brother was going to be crowned King of lycanthropes, alpha of all alphas, ruler of the Infinite Nightwalkers werewolf pack.
It was also the night where the fate of the existence of all lycanthropes was going to be decided.
The corruption was eating deep into my heart. I could feel it from Black's discomfort filled howls.
Everyone was getting ready, preparing for the eventful night.
Every alpha was always coronated on the yellow moon.
The first alpha found it very special, so special he said it was the greatest moon of the year. So, he made it a tradition that alphas be coronated only on this day.
I refused partaking in any of the preparatory activities. I was still a newly turned Wolf. I still wasn't used to the whole rogue thingy plus I don't even Know how this thing works.
It is a day of Joy. Jumping on someone and biting the person's head off wasn't the best show to put up tonight.
I was able to trace the rogues Alexandra was working with.
There really were still witches, bad ones. Immediately they stepped back into the pack, their rogue smell disappeared. Alexandra must have had the witch do something about that.
Now, all I have to do is keep an eye on them till they make attempts to leave the pack. Then, I would either stop them or, follow them and keep them away from the last ingredient to the stupid spell for the annihilation of all lycanthropes.
At the cabin.
Khloe
I spent my first night away from my family and friend alone in my father's cabin and it didn't feel lonely.
It just felt like someone was watching me all through the night, that made me feel safe.
I was supposed to go on with my assignment on environment earlier today but I forgot to take along with me; the book where I note down all of my researches.
Since Mom and Jack were going to be here tomorrow, I would inform them to bring the book along on their next visit.
I would have simply told her on the phone but the service here was really bad.
Since I couldn't exercise this morning, I would just go for a quick run.
I had never had a run in the woods before, I wonder how it would feel having those tall green trees greet your speed with their waving branches, the fresh air of soil fill your nose strills as you run through, the soft sounds made from the contact of your feet with the soft wet soil beneath them and the chirpings of different kinds of birds.
I think I now understand why dad loved it here so much and I think I'm beginning to too.
Michael
'ding dong' the door bell in Khloe's house rang out.
I bounced on my feet unable to contain the excitement within me.
The door creaked open but surprisingly, there was nobody there.
"Down here Michael" I heard a tiny voice call out.
I looked down to see Jack- Khloe's baby brother.
"Jackie, waddup little man?" I greeted him as I scooped him in my arms.
"Put me down Michael, I'm seven" He said giggling as I blew bubbles in his stomach.
"Good evening madam." I greeted Mrs Smith as I walked into the house.
"Michael! Welcome. Khloe almost had a heart attack you know." She said filing her nails.
"What? When? How? Why?" I rushed my questions as my heart beats doubled.
"It's really no biggie Michael. There's no need for you to panic. She just thought you were mad at her and would probably never speak to her again." She clarified my horrific thoughts.
"Oh, I was just giving her some space to heal." I said feeling guilty that I had to make my best friend go through all of that.
"Friends are supposed to heal each other with love, care and attention Michael. Not with distancing." She said with a friendly smile on her face.
" I guess so. Can I see her?" I asked, unable to take the guilt anymore.
" Oh, I'm afraid you can't." Mrs Smith replied.
" Why ma'am?" I asked unsure of my thoughts.
" Khloe went to the woods for treatment, the doctor advised her to."Jack replied me from behind as he went through my bag.
"Oh." Was the only thing I could say.
"You don't have to worry Michael. She would be back sooner than you expected. But if you urgently want to see her, we are going to visit her tomorrow. You could join Jackie and I." Mrs Smith offered causing me to give a sigh of relief.
" Thanks a lot Mrs Smith. I'd really love to join." I said to her happily.
"Okay but you better be here before 10am. You're not having classes tomorrow are you?" She asked.
" Not even one." I lied.
Well who cares? I was going to meet my best friend since so long. I would happily sacrifice anything for that.

" Show time." I said to myself.
I spotted the werewolf packs leaving the gathering.
They really were novices. Anyone would suspect their movements.
I followed them unnoticed as they left the pack to the woods; the only part of the forest visible to the human eye.

I was in the train on my way back home. I was so excited to see Khloe that I forgot to get Jack chocolates.
Getting Jack chocolates had been a tradition since he was four.
I was going through my bag for no special reason when I found a book in it.
It looked like the one Khloe kept any vital information.
Interested, I decided to go through it.
I decided to start reading from the last page. At the base of the page, I read a really weird sentence;Ita shka seru matelsal hem Motsora matelsal hem. Shku sha, molehfej shku sha.
" What the fuck does this even mean?"
Khloe
I was still running, admiring the climate in the woods when I heard extra footsteps.
Whenever I stopped, it stopped too and whenever I resumed running, it continued.
This went on for more than eight times.
On the ninth time as I stopped, a big wild dog from nowhere, pounced on me.
It was big with brown fur and greyish eyes. It's canines were brown and dirty but dangerously long.
Spit unlike the humans poured from it's mouth unto my face.
It's paws pinned me down to the wet ground and just as it was about to lower it's face to mine, another of it's kind emerged.
It pushed the brown furred wolf off of me.
It was three times bigger than the one that had attacked me.
I was still on the ground, observing the violent fight and growling that was going on in front of me.
My savior with black fur looked at me before giving an ear bleeding growl.
I guess that was my cue, I ran and kept on running. I ran with all of my strength.
Soon enough, I had gotten back to the cabin. I ran in with my soiled sneakers on and locked the wooden door. Not like that was going to save me.
As I turned back, I met another wolf on my couch, waiting for me.
Frightened, I did nothing but stand on the same spot.
Just as it was about to come for me, it fell to the floor. Shaking and howling, it rolled on the floor with foam pouring out of it's mouth.
This went on for the next ten minutes before it stopped moving.
Walking closer to it, I tried observing if it was still alive.
" Arrrrrggh" I screamed immediately the animal turned into a man.
Before I could take time to digest his features, the cabin door burst open.

"...... I now crown you alpha, king of..."
The eldest lycan was still speaking before he was interrupted by the soon-to-be alpha.
"Wait." He said, with his hand in the air.
" Where is Amigo?" He asked, standing up with authority.
His question did nothing but create murmuring among his subjects.
Khloe
There was blood everywhere, on the wooden floor, on my hands which strangely held a knife.
" What the hell?" I whispered to myself.
I heard a low howl at a short distance. l looked before me to see a big wild dog with black fur, fitting the perfect description of a werewolf as given by fantasy books.
It was also covered in blood. It's eyes held nothing but sadness in them. The more I looked into them, the more guilt I felt.
It hadn't come to attack me, it had come to protect me. It only used the wrong approach which horrified me. I shouldn't have killed it.
I quickly diverted my gaze to the opened window in the cabinet.
I could hear loud, angry and violent growls.
Oh no, it's brothers must have come in search of it. They would surely find out. I wouldn't escape death, that is definitely sure.
" Oh no, what do I do?" I asked myself.
" Run" Someone said.
"Ah!"I screamed, the animal had turn to a human; a man, a naked man, a beautiful naked man.
" What..how?" I was confused, does this really mean werewolves existed?
" Don't worry about me, just run"He advised, gasping for breath while covering the big sore I had inflicted on his chest.
Before I could even get to my feet, my father's cabin was invaded.
DerrickI couldn't believe my eyes, different emotions ran through me. Kodiac, my wolf froze, I could feel his heartbeat stop. Before me was my brother, laying still in his own blood, dead. Why does this always happen to me? Why does a day of happiness always go bad for me?My mother was killed by a rogue on my nineteenth birthday, my father died on the yellow moon night, the night I turned into my wolf self. And now....now....now my brother; the only family I had left was laying in front of me; cold-blooded in death. The rest of the pack were growling and howling as I looked on.I knew something was fishy when Amigo went missing. He would never miss anything that gave me joy.I initially thought he was just fooling around with me. Amigo was fond of making entrances, I thought that was his plan but he would never make his entry after I had been crowned, right?I wanted to overlook his absence but something just didn't seem right.I was still in my thoughts when I heard an unfamiliar
AlexandraI knew something would go wrong which was my exact reason for not going to fetch the human's blood myself.I have waited personally for centuries to see the fall of the lycans. Because of them, we the werewolves were always sidelined. The rogues were worse, they saw us as nothing but infection to their territory.I was only allowed to live with the rest of the pack because unlike the rest, I have been rogue from birth. The rogues who were turned always got banished while the unlucky ones got killed especially if they committed any crime against the lycans.Being a born rogue was never easy for me. I had to learn how to live like and relate with the normal wolves.I had to learn to control my hunger for blood and flesh, my emotions, especially my anger and my heart. Despite the fact that I was a born rogue, there was still a possibility of the corruption spreading through my heart. If it does, I would become a complete rogue, I wouldn't be able to control myself and I would g
Mrs SmithI still couldn't believe I had allowed Khloe go to the same cabin her father had mysteriously died in. Everything that is happening now was the same thing that had happened before my husband was reported dead. His friends had called saying that they found a piece of write up in one of his journals but mysteriously, the next minute they looked, they could no longer find it there.I found it unbelievable until Mark; my husband's best friend showed me a video as proof of what the rest of them had said.Even as old as they were, they still played pranks on each other. They had found one of his journals lying around and had decided to prank him with it.The initial plan was to send him a video of them going through his journal and messing around with it but things went South when they stumbled upon the write up.While they tried reading it, it suddenly faded away. They got so frightened, they were afraid to say anything to me. But when I had called them endlessly after not being
Somewhere far away from the Knowledge of humanKhloeI woke up with a struggle." Oh God, did I finally die?" I asked myself." No, you're in prison" A voice said causing me to jerk in fright.I found out that I was chained, yes chained. Though the room was so dark that I thought I had gone blind, the force in which I was pulled back after I jerked made me understand that I had been chained. It was then that I began feeling pains all over me; from my neck, down to my shoulders and then my arms, my waist, knees and ankles weren't exempted."Who are you and where am I?" I asked whoever spoke moments ago."I am in no position to converse with a prisoner like you but considering the fact that you are nothing but a mere human, I think a little bit of education wouldn't be so bad." The voice spoke up again." A bit of education, what do you mean by that? And why did you refer to me as human? It's not like you're an animal, are you?" I yelled with difficulty." Silence!" I got a reply that l
Mrs Smith"Oh no, oh no, oh no." I sang as I fell to the wooden floor pulling my hair, with my face buried in between my knees. We had searched the cabin, Michael had even offered going into the woods but I declined.Khloe was no where to be found. I went through her belongings and her running outfit was missing. She must have gone for a run and then gotten traced home to be killed. I couldn't even come to a specific picture of what I think happened. There were different speculations in my head. The only thing we found was a partly broken cabin with mud, and blood inside of it, especially at the center of the dining area. There was a bloody knife lying on the mat. That particular area of the cabin was mostly covered in blood. Khloe must have been murdered there." It's okay ma'am. We'd find her." Michael said, consoling me as he knelt down beside me to hug me.I was too weak to say anything. Tears flowed continually from my eyes as different imaginations of how Khloe was killed flood
MichaelBefore midday, I left the cabin with Mrs Smith. At first, she was adamant about staying." I'm going to sit here and wait for my daughter. She went for a run, she should be back soon." She kept on saying whenever I tried to cajole here to leave with me.Fortunately, she eventually agreed to leave. Considering her current state of health, I decided to drive. I was grateful my mom was hell bent on teaching me and Richardson to drive at age fifteen.Soon enough, we arrived back at the Smith's.Jack was the first to run out of the house to embrace his mother. He was surprised when Mrs Smith just pushed him off of her and walked into the house like a zombie." Is my mother okay why did she push me away like that?" He asked me with tears in his eyes.Unsure of what to say, I only carried him up and embraced him for a really long time." Good day sir. Is everything alright with Mrs Smith?" The babysitter greeted with her British accent." Yeah, just a little stressed. Take the kid in
AlexandraI crawled to the sacred tree slowly. Even in the midst of so many trees in the forest, it still stood out with its unusual color of bark, branches and atmosphere.Ever since the witch was burnt on that tree, it had refused to yield anything. Even the sky above it was dark. Despite the scorching sun in the forest, the immediate vicinity of the tree was dark, almost as dark as the night.'It's not so bad. Right?' I thought to myself.I wondered why everyone feared even the thought of this tree. Rumor has it that even the proceeding alpha never came near this tree after the witch's death. As I crawled closer to the tree, entering its dark area, I began feeling cold suddenly. I could feel cold breaths all around my body." What the fuck?" I whispered to myself. The next thing I saw freaked me out.MichaelI knew it, I just knew it. ' Oh I have the best mom ever.' I thought to myself. She arrived before mid-day. I explained everything to her and instead of crying with me for a
Derrick" I sense danger alpha. I see chaos, I hear riots, I smell disaster. The ways of the moongoddess has changed for one soul. The natural ways of the lycans have mortified because of one soul. I do not have much to deliver even though I've seen enough to be seen for one lifetime. Oh alpha if only you can see the side of our pack that the moon has been banned from shedding her light on. That sacred segmented part of us. The outcast of our territory, the pride for our existence. The moon goddess has revealed this to me. Be wise alpha, be wise." Cami, the pack's foreseer said in the throne room.It was time already. The time where I was supposed to lead the pack's warriors to battle with the moon chasers and avenge Amigo's death. We were all prepared, our claws sharpened, our muscles exercised and our team spirit alive and burning. Suddenly, Cami walked in without permission like she's always done, even when my father was still alive. She took her usual sitting position before prayi
