LOGINHome feels a lot more different, now that we are adults. The house was always filled with voices, either arguing, fighting, talking or laughing. The house was always so lively. Being the youngest I had always felt like I had to be as good as the older three. That when I moved away I felt the difference in how I lived through college. During high school I thought I was being punished, as I had to do laundry, grocery shopping, cook my own food and learn to cook. Away at college where I had to put my skills into action for four years I thought I had mastered it
My experience through college was one I will never forget. I had started mixing with my roommate who was invited to all the campus parties and as I was willing to tag along. When my sister would visit, I'd take her out and she would need to be carried back home that I refused to take her out if we both couldn't get her home. So my brother would come to collect us and drop off back at the dorm safely before leaving with my sister. Those years were what I considered the best experience I had, that got me into the best company that my skills became useful and that is how I met Rayden. A knock on the door roused me out of my day dream. I hadn't noticed I was still in my room. When my mother popped her head in as I looked up at her. "Baby you okay?," she asked as I felt my emotions flood out of me. As I began to sob my heart out, as I felt every pain hit me at once, "I...hate..him," I sobbed out in between breaths as I felt my mother stroke my hair calming me down in the process as I told her everything that happened. Dating Rayden, his expectation of me as his girlfriend and I abided by everything as I was willing to compromise as long as it solved our problems. I was able to proudly stand beside him. Marriage was the next step and I was ready for this next chapter in my life. Pouring my heart out gave me time to assess everything I said, I was never the problem in this relationship I was just too independent on my own that he couldn't mold my fierce attitude that started to challenge his dominance. I should have noticed in the bedroom his demeanor started to change that I thought was new but I see it now,, he had already gotten what he needed elsewhere. He was here for the business knowing that I was very business savvy. To see how he rose so fast without doing anything and he boasted about all his accolades that weren't exactly his to start with. By the time I was finished I was very glad that I had found out before It was too late. "Did you have fun with your brothers, they both look well rested," she noted as I laughed "We tried a few facials and we found ones that suit both their skin types and help the migraines from over working themselves ," I said as I giggled at my mother her rolled her eyes. "I swear those boys, ain't gonna get married at this rate," My mother grumbled as I smiled, "We got plenty of time mama and then you're be flooded with grandkids," I teased as I stared at my mother's beautiful face. Even at her age she has beautiful red hair and blue eyes, as for my father he has blonde hair and green eyes. Snuggling against my mother, "You're too beautiful and now is not the time to worry about boys when you're old enough now to step into your role amongst your siblings," my mother stated as I looked up at her and nodded "Yes mama, I realized I need to be amongst them, on my own I get hurt," I sighed as she nodded "Shower and come downstairs," She said as she left me there. Taking a deep breath I felt a little better so I climbed off my bed before stripping it and changing my sheets and blankets before heading into the shower. Stepping out of my room, since arriving home last night, left me feeling anxious but I kept moving forward until I found myself in the kitchen. Standing there I stared at the food laid in front of me, it had been such a long time since I had eaten like this. This is a family tradition for this type of food once a week with everyone recharging, to see all my favorite food in front of me, made me smile with tears in my eyes. It had been several years since I had indulged myself with good food knowing that's how most of our ideas were made. Walking in and grabbing a plate I had a bit of everything as I knew it would taste like butter. As I sat at the table opposite my mother I tucked into my breakfast as she caught me up with everything happening in the family, who is now married and who is still refusing to marry. The food was so delicious that I had zoned her out half way as It had been many many years since I ate food that tasted like this. My mother out did herself when it came to cooking especially for her family, due to her exceptional talents she taught all four of her children how to cook yet when at home she always had food ready and even if you came uninvited she would have something that had been made early morning ready for my father's lunch and our dinner. Breakfast is the only time you see her shoveling food in front of her kids. By the time I had a second plate my two eldest brothers came into the kitchen freshly showered and ready for there day. "Allie will you come in to the office with us?," Sebastian asked as I nodded "Yeah I'm ready just eating first," I said as I sat down and tucked into my plate as I made me a hot coffee to wash all my beautiful warm food down. "How was your night?," Maverick asked as he sat in front of me with his plate "Better now I'm home," I answered as I stared back at him. As he nodded his head, "Good you look properly rested, we looked almost golden," he said pointed between himself and Bastian as one runs his hands through his now golden cut as I laughed my red hair is longer and healthier after all our pamper session before we came home. The banter was easy, the coffee was amazing and I even took me a hug of coffee for my ride into work with the boys. I knew my sister was working today if we hadn't came in she would hunt me down and staple me to the conference wall. She's done it several times in our earlier years, that most executive team is well aware of us each even the shy indifferent baby sister of the influential triplets of the Gray Enterprise. Stepping inside the building brought back my earlier memories of being chased around the lobby by my sister as I refused to help her with her presentation one day. Staring around at the now glass room that wrapped around the building. The reception desk is in the middle, the elevators are off to the side and as we entered the elevator I noticed the full wrap around mirror inside. "Is this so that the ones in front can see behind them?," I asked as I stared around m "Yes, especially at night, a female guard escorts all the ladies down and to their cars." Maverick spoke as I nodded as we ascended to our floor. The amount of years I spent inside this building fighting with my siblings, being baby sat by the boys while my parents took my sister out to all her high achievement awards. Stepping onto the lobby floor I stared around me at the change in color of the lobby, how the lobby doors were all frosted and laminated so that it had an authentic feel. The floor tiles matched the couches and the wooden tables and chairs set up were enough for the entire floor to fit in. Heading towards the main conference room we entered on the side door as we walked in and took a seat around the table. "The layout is beautifully done, the colours match and the feel of the building has definitely improved loving it," I spoke as I stood inspecting all the new gadgets in here. "Very up to date in here don't you think," I asked as I started touching everything, searching the cupboards, the fridges and least of all the drawers. Too my amazement the draws were filled of snacks and I was shocked to see that. "You brought my design to life," I said as I stared at my siblings who just smirked "It's just a draw with snacks inside," Sebastian mocked like it was hard, "I built the draw," I stated as he shrugged his shoulders as I stared eating the first line of snacks before I moved back to the sofa that was next too me. "This is such a brilliant idea if I say so myself," I spoke as I contently tipped all my snacks into a bowl. Snacking while we read the financial report that was display in front of us. The meeting had hit a few bumps and as I had notice what the question was it was easier to communicate with my sister as she sat at the helm of our meeting. Watching her answer every question strategically and honestly that it made them all pause. The strength my sister shows is replicated in the boys as well. Me I am a lot more silent and can't be bothered my aim is design, while they handle the business side of things where I am building the vision that they have come up with. The family rivalry was real in our childhood days we all fought to be the best and were the top of our schools we attended. They neighborhood knew of our completive streak as we weren't allowed to challenge others as it didn't really mean the same so we studied hard, we all worked hard in the afternoon helping our parents and then we allade it into our respective universities that we grew so strongly in.It had been three months since I had returned home, three months since I've learnt my systems assigned to my team. Reading the manuals and ensuring if there was a problem I knew how to read the instructions to keep the machine up and running safely. Everyday the routine becomes easier, entering the building and checking all machine and working areas are safe and clear before starting any machines up. All main common areas are all cleaned and with new coffee brewing because the aroma that drifted around the office made it that more appealing even for the nom coffee drinker, the fragrance enhanced the mornings. The atmosphere that it brought as the sun slowly rose bathing the entire floor in morning light that warms the carpet if your barefoot in the office. Due to Sinclair holdings and our company no longer partnering, I had to then design something that would attract another buyer that would keep our project moving. As we had to halt it for the month we needed something or someone
As my encounter with Stephanie started to make rounds as the once beloved daughter of the Sinclair dynasty, all her past discretions were now coming out to bite her. All the previous employees that were blackmailed, threatened or fired due to her greed had finally been able to speak up with evidence and had sent everything that helped my case against her. Filing a police report stating harassment, defamation and wrongfully accused as her lawyer stated she was suing me for this yet it was my sister who took charge of the case slaughtering Stephanie's defenses with cold hard proof. The nation went crazy that Sinclair stock prices started pummeling and big investors were withdrawing fast as the higher ups were jumping ship. All who had an involvement with Stephanie over the past five years have come out with some serious allegations that could land her in prison for several years and her father is likely to lose his standing in the industry with such unhanded tricks . As I embraced th
As I stood staring ahead of me, I couldn't understand why Stephanie was standing in front of me and presenting the expansion idea that we had just scoped and she was here in front of me. "What the hell is this. Who gave you permission to bring her in here?," I snapped as I stared at her boss who had a shocked look on his face "This is Stephanie my daughter who drew the design,"Malcom Sinclair spoke as he was the architect we had agreed on. "She's your daughter and she created thid design?" I questioned as I stared at my brothers who wore shocked looks. ""No way are we going with them and I'm not taking her project ideas they're probably stolen," I spat when I saw her face go red but due to our last meeting she just stared at my presence. The look on my brothers faces when I stood up mid meeting staring at the parasite in front of me they both stood to as they both locked eyes on the manager that brought her in here.. "She's your daughter?," Maverick asked when the door swung open,
Enjoying being with my family made it so much easier to be amongst them that I wasnt as hurt as I was when I first left. My brothers were right I needed that positive look at the country I spent so many years in and never really stepped out of my comfort zone unless they came to me and only then would I step outside the city. Lying in my room I lay there staring at the ceiling and wondered what made me not enough for him. I am beautiful, hard working and I have a strong background and yet he believed he was the prize. Joining a local gym with the siblings made me be able to let all my aggression out without having to talk to people. Due to my concentration I always went with them as a collective and it helped me until I could venture out by myself again. Ive had several messages sent through from various friends that were not aware of the breakup and without having to explain it in details I let my closest friends that I made of our breakup and I had returned home. Driving all over the city, beaches, free events, my brother posted my car all over social media to sell, and can deliver if needed. Each new landmark that I saw in passing, on the commute to work and even on local trams. Every city has something new to offer and since we had decided this was what we were going to do we did. We had two weeks to travel around and since our family was wealthy both my brothers funded our tour. We had put my house up for sale, as well as the car too. We sold the car on our travels and we headed towards the bank to withdraw all my remaining money I had in there, before closing all my accounts. Since my brothers were funding the travels I booked our pamper sessions. Both are very aware of skin care routine especially with two sisters who both get treated the same. As youngins me and my eldest sister were very competitive with each other, the boys and especially the town we lived in. No one still has not broken her high score record that has yet to be b
