Liv’s POV

My hand had already connected with Ryder's face before I came to my senses and the gravity of what I had done dawned on me.

The gasps that escaped the lips of the other students, and the look of disbelief on their faces, made me realize that I wasn't dreaming.

This wasn't one of those moments where I lay in my bed daydreaming about paying them back; this was really happening. My eyes met with one of the triplet who looked at me like what I just did was beyond comprehension.

And it was!

I just slapped him, not just anybody but one of the future alphas of the pack. Any rage I was feeling prior to that moment was long gone, replaced by pure dread and regret.

Without daring to look at the triplets, I dashed out of the room, fishing the map out of my pocket as I frantically tried to smooth it without tearing it apart and find my way back to the entrance.
