**REIKA/ZARA**
I eyed the man who stood before me, anger darkening his features before he turned to the lady who walked in. From their dialogue, my name is Zara and I was the Alpha's mistress. Oh my goodness! The moon goddess put me in the body of a sinner! How was I going to take my revenge if I was shackled to an overbearing Alpha? I remained silent as the woman who he called Sofia heaped insults on me. I didn't care about them anyway, what I had to do was find a way out of here. Where was I anyway? “You want to go off and select another harlot at the Luna choosing ceremony?” Sofia barked. Her screaming was beginning to get on my nerves as my body screamed for rest, for some quiet. But my senses turned alert as she mentioned that word. A Luna choosing ceremony. If that is exactly what my mind says it is then that's my ticket to revenge. I watched as the man who I realized was the alpha, Alpha Stephan pushed Sofia out. The name didn't ring a bell as I knew most of the Alphas in the region. What pack was this? Who is he? Why does he look so dangerous? “Zara, what happened earlier?” He barked, looking like he wouldn't take silence for an answer this time. “I...I blanked out,” I replied, hoping he'd accept it. I searched the body’s memory for a clue on who exactly existed before me, but it was blank, an empty page for me to start afresh on. Just for six months. Except… “You mentioned a Luna choosing ceremony,” I quipped, raising my eyes to meet his intense gaze on me. He narrowed his eyes, his arms folded across his chest. “Yes. I'm expected to choose a Luna today,” he replied. I dragged my gaze away from him, my heart thundering as I wondered how to pose the question to him. This body was a mistress, will it be right to enter a Luna ceremony? Well, if I didn't ask I would never find out. Fiddling with the dress I had hastily put on I returned my gaze to him. “Can I join the ceremony?” I breathed, my breath turning ragged as I waited for his response. He was silent for two heartbeats, scanning my face with an unreadable expression. “You said no when I asked earlier. Why the change of mind?” I facepalmed myself internally, wishing I was slapping the former owner of this body. How dare you almost give my chance away? “I just want a chance. It's not fair I'm just your whore only,” I replied, hoping he bought the excuse. There was no doubt on his face as he nodded, sticking his hands into his pockets, and turned away. “You can do whatever you want,” I smiled happily to myself, turning towards the windows as I waited for the door to close. My attention was immediately caught by the massive expanse of land spread before me. Where exactly was this place? I turned around just as the door slammed shut, rattling the hinges, and rushed towards the bedside. I checked each compartment, seeing nothing but jewelry and trinkets. Nothing to indicate who the previous owner of this body was. A knock drew my attention and I scrambled to put everything back in its place, forgetting this was my room. “Come in,” I called out, taking a seat on the bed. A young maid walked in, carrying several dresses on her arm alongside a silver crested box. “My lady,” she curtsied and dropped the dresses on the bed. Of course! If anyone should know more about this place then it was a maid. “Hello,” I waved at her, plastering a warm smile on my face and hoping it didn't seem fake. Her eyes widened as she limply waved back. “Take a seat, please. What's your name?” I questioned, moving to create room for her on the bed. “My name is Arya, my lady.” She replied, perched at the very edge of the seat, her face growing red. What kind of person was I to elicit such a reaction from her? “Arya, I fell some minutes ago and in the process had a slight concussion. I can't seem to remember any other thing apart from my name. Can you tell me where I am?” I asked. Her gaze immediately moved to my head before she met my eyes. “Sure thing my lady. You are in Ravenclaw Pack, the largest and strongest pack in all three regions under the leadership of Alpha Stephan.” I swallowed, my face turning pale at her words. Ravenclaw pack was the most elusive and dangerous pack in the kingdom. The only time its doors were opened to other packs was during ceremonies and events. Alpha Stephan was known as the dark Alpha, feared for his strength and also his deadly rage which made him destroy without reason. How could I forget such crucial information? I was reborn as his mistress? Oh, the moon goddess must be having a laugh wherever she is! “What can you tell me about the Luna choosing ceremony? Alpha Stephan mentioned it.” I croaked. “ It's a very unusual event, only happens when the alpha is yet to find his mate after 5 blood moons. He was engaged to Lady Sofia for two years but due to her failure to give an heir, the engagement was broken and the Luna ceremony was fixed by the elders.” I remained silent, my mind processing the information. I had two agendas. Getting revenge, finding a mate, and getting him to mark me. If I could play my cards right, alpha Stephan might just be the key to getting them all. A mate doesn't necessarily have to be given by the moon goddess. But to get all this, I had to become the Luna. “Thank you, Arya.” She nodded and stood up, going to the corner to drag a bathtub into the room. “The alpha ordered me to get you ready for the ceremony. It will commence in an hour,” she stated. I stood up, shuffling off the gown I wore, and stepped into the warm water, my mind putting schemes in place and a smirk spread on my face. Reika is back to take revenge and the first on the list; Become the Luna to the most feared Alpha in the region.**Stephan**I brought the vehicle to a stop inside the garage of a boutique before I finally looked at Zara. She took in the surroundings, eyebrows furrowed, cheeks still pink from earlier and her lips in a pout.Strands of hair floated around her face. I curled my palms into fist to keep from smoothening them off and took the key off the ignition.“This is where you brought us to?” She shrieked, her eyes wide and raging.“Get out of the car, Zara. I can still make good on my promise now.” I answered, a dangerous edge in my voice. She narrowed her eyes before kicking the door open and stepping out.I almost felt bad for my vehicle. After she slammed the door, I remained in the car for a moment, my thoughts raging as a shaky breath escaped my lungs.I couldn't keep staying around her. Not when I knew the consequences.I shouldn't have made her my Luna. Well, it was too late. And considering my options, she was the best.I slipped out of the car and began to walk through the entrance l
**Reika/Zara**I stuck out my tongue at Stephan's closed door, made a punching gesture with my hands curled before stomping away from the room. Why did he always find ways to get under my skin?Well, I had achieved phase one of my plan to stay alive in this body. I just needed to trace Zara's identity and find out how she became embroiled in a secret organisation before the time was up.As I walked down the corridor, I flipped through the pages of the file, my fingers tracing an address written at the corner of the page.Zara isn't originally a member of Raven Claw pack but from a distant land called Arragroove.Arragroove? The name sounded so familiar yet strange.Where have I come across a place like that? If I wasn't mistaken, it was one of the small towns scattered around the kingdom. Was it eradicated? There was barely any information on it.How did she find herself in Raven Claw?My brain crunched up information, racing through the memories of towns I worked with as an Alpha i
**Reika/Zara**My arms were warm. Not from the temperature, but from the presence of a tiny figure laying in them.My baby. My baby was alive.I looked at her, at her wide blue eyes brimming with joy and contentment, at the tiny trail of drool that led from her lips to my fingers. My chest clenched, tears welled up in my eyes and my body trembled with relief and fear.No. This couldn't be real.A tiny palm touched my cheeks, enveloping my nostrils with the sweet scent of baby powder and milk.I lifted her to my chest, my face pressed against her head and rocked her gently.“My baby.” I cooed, stroking her back as her arms flayed wildly. She giggled, grabbed a fistful of my hair and dragged it to her mouth.A sob and chuckle burst from my lips as I tore my hair from her mouth. My baby was alive. I was alive and well. I wasn't killed.Tears poured down my cheeks and I felt my heart warm up.“Please don't take her from me anymore. Please goddess, take everything else except my baby. Ple
**Stephan**My body alarm didn't hesitate to rouse me awake despite how crazy every part of me tried to resist.I cracked my eyes open, the mere act sending my head banging and my muscles clenching in pain.I curled my palms, pushed off the blanket that was folded over my body away and sat upright.I dragged a finger over my eyes, wiping the traces of sleep and intoxication that filled it.“I know, I know. I'm sorry.” I mumbled to my wolf who was growling in my ears, its claws making a distinct scratching sound in my ears.I knew the repercussions for taking so much alcohol was going to be much but I didn't expect it to be this crazy. And my wolf was definitely having none of it.To think I'd have a wolf who strongly disliked alcohol. Like I didn't have enough problems already.I leaned against the head board, my arm still shielding my eyes from the harsh blur of light filtering into the room through the partly opened windows when my nose detected a strange scent in the air.I turned
**Reika/Zara**I trembled like a leaf caught in a heavy downpour.Stephan looked at me like he saw past the mask of his mistress, like he saw the scorned, betrayed and deceased Luna of River brook. How did he find out? What gave it away?“Wh…what do you mean? I'm Zara.” I stuttered, creeping close to the door.Stephan followed me, his steps heavy and unsteady; grabbing the wall as he moved. His breath tickled my neck as I flattened my body against the wall. He's drunk. I could easily push him off and run away.Except there was a team of guards waiting outside my door.No. If there was, it'll be them here, not this drunken fool.Stephan grabbed my chin forcing my head up. I stared at his glassy ocean blue eyes, the flash of pink on his cheeks and his moist lips.“You're not the same girl. You're not the Zara I knew.” He mumbled.“What did you know about her?” I questioned, trying to pry his fingers off my face. They didn't budge.“I never realised you were so good at pretending to be s
**Reika/Zara**“You really don't have to stay.” I mumbled to Kyren as he stood in a corner watching as the doctor wiped off the ointment Myron used earlier and examined the burns carefully.“Alpha’s order my lady.” Kyren smiled.I exhaled, rolled my eyes and returned my gaze to the red patch on my arm.The doctor produced an ointment, a bit similar to what Myron used on me earlier and applied it against the wound.A hiss escaped my lips as the ointment stung and emitted a dense minty scent in the air.“Make sure to cover it up when you have your bath and apply the balm to it twice daily. The burns should fade within a few days.” She spoke.I blew air against the spot, dragged my fingers over it and nodded.“Thank you.” I answered and walked out of the examination room.Kyren accompanied me, walking a safe distance away from me, yet close enough to catch me in case I tried anything funny.Goddess knows what that brute Stephan had told him.“Kyren, why did the Alpha leave abruptly? I ex
