“Jason Sinclair!”

“Yes, never forget that bitch as you grovel on your knees next time.”

I glanced at the handsome guy standing before me, his face devoid of any emotion except hate while I remained kneeling on the floor in the closet.

“Next time say my name with respect,” he sneered.

The remaining four giggled as they made a video of me covered in food particles and sticky substances like flour and eggs.

Then someone hit me with a bag of… Almond nuts?! I was allergic to those nuts!

I scrambled to my feet, dragging Jason’s trousers before he could walk away.

“No. Please make them stop,” I pleaded with him.

“Get off!” he snarled and pushed me away.

I weighed a lot so I fell with a thump and everyone laughed while Jason walked away. I felt my face swelling as the allergic reaction began.

Embarrassed, I covered my face and screamed while someone kept shaking me.

“Mi Amor?!”

“Davina!”

I blinked and opened my eyes to see my both parents staring down at me. I sat up, rubbing my head which was throbbing with pain, my brain felt foggy, and I wondered what happened.

“Are you alright, Mi Amor?” my dad asked.

I massaged my temples and sighed. I recalled my dad telling me I was getting married to some monster from my past, I'm sure he was joking.

“Didn’t Dr. Linda say she was doing well? How can she faint from the mere mention of his name?” my mom was saying.

I eyed them curiously, “Did you say, Linda? Did she know about this?” I quizzed.

“That's beside the point, Davina. Do you normally have fainting spells whenever his name is mentioned?” my dad asked.

“No, dad. You didn't expect me to jump for joy at the mention of me getting married to the person who made my life a living hell,” I retorted.

My dad sighed and my mom pulled me in for a hug.

“I’m sorry, darling. Besides, you've changed and he wouldn't bully you again,” my dad said.

“It's just for three months. I'm working on something with your dad and it's going to bring in more funds,” my mom said, her eyes begging me to understand.

I sighed and suddenly I remembered Linda’s words before I left; face your fears and slay your dragons.

A mischievous smile graced my lips. I was fat and naive when Jason and his crew bullied me. Now I was sexy and London’s new heartbreaker. It was time to teach Jason Sinclair a lesson.

“I’m in, daddy. Raise the funds and let me deal with Jason.”

I walked into the expensive restaurant which has been reserved by Jason Sinclair so it was empty except for one booth where four people sat.

Edwina, Anna, Lukas, and Phillip.

These were Jason’s clique and my bullies for years before the last straw that made my father send me to London.

Anna was Lukas's girlfriend and apparently, Phillip was dating Edwina. I never tagged them both as couples but what do I care?

Anna was the first to see me. Her pink lips formed an ‘O’ and her brown eyes widened in surprise. She shoved her dark-brown hair aside to make sure she wasn't dreaming before blinking again and smiling.

“Well if it isn't Jason’s new bride-to-be in the flesh!” she exclaimed.

The rest of the group turned toward me and I smiled at them. Even though beneath the smile I could see past their facade; a very horrible bunch of spoiled kids.

“Wow! I thought they said you went bonkers, Davina,” Edwina said with a saccharine smile.

I plastered the same fake smile on my face as I stared at her. “Well, looks like you're the one who's gone bonkers because you're engaged to a gay guy who isn't interested in you.”

“Shh!” Lukas hushed me.

I raised my eyebrow in question.

“Phillip hasn't outed yet. He's still in the closet and his family would never support him if he did so Edwina is doing him a favor at the moment,” Lukas explained.

I rolled my eyes. “What do I care?”

“Classic, Davina. Not even stayed one day in New York and you're already causing trouble,” Anna said.

“Yeah, this isn't London, watch your back,” Edwina added.

“This isn't high school, Ed, your threats are worthless to me,” I clipped.

“Oooh! Burn!!” Phillip chuckled.

“Damn! I like this version of you, Vina,” Lukas grinned.

“Me too,” I deadpanned.

“Where’s Jason?” I asked, taking a seat beside Anna while Edwina continued shooting me daggers.

“Probably finishing up on his latest rendezvous with a new blondie,” Edwina replied smugly.

I shrugged, not bothered at all. “Nice. I can see why his family wants to protect his image.”

“No offense, Vina, you're so sexy and I bet my money that Jason would gobble you up and spit you out just like the rest of the girls,” Lukas said.

Everyone in the group seemed to agree and I frowned, feeling insulted. It suddenly felt like high school all over again. I pinched the inside of my palm to drag myself out of the trance I was about to enter again.

Suddenly, a wicked idea formed in my mind. Jason and his clique may have bullied me during high school but Jason was the architect of all the pranks.

He was the reason why I almost lost my mind and had to be sent to London to stay with a therapist for nine fucking years to regain my sanity. He was the reason why I had nightmares every night!

A little heartbreak never hurt anyone, I thought. I would make sure he has his heart broken into tiny pieces so he would know what it feels like to be lost and confused.

It wouldn't make up for what he had done to me over the years but it would give me a minuscule satisfaction to know that I had hurt him too.

All I just needed was to get his friends in on it so they would laugh at his humiliation when it was time, this way I would have my revenge against Jason Sinclair.

“What’s that smile, Vina?” Phillip asked.

“Let’s place a bet. Two hundred thousand dollars each,” I said.

Their eyes widened slowly.

“What for?” Anna asked.

A small smile played on my lips as I explained. “I'm supposed to be engaged to Jason for three months. Within that period I would make sure Jason falls hopelessly in love with me and then I would break his heart and the money will be mine.”

Edwina’s eyes lit up and for the first time since I arrived she looked genuinely happy which was creepy.

“Supported!” she exclaimed.

The remaining three nodded.

“Let’s make a video to conclude this bet so we can always watch it when Davina succeeds or loses,” Edwina suggested.

There was no harm in it so I agreed. As the video recorder played we all placed our bets.

“Three months from now guys and I will break Jason’s heart,” I vowed with a smile.

I will have my revenge and there was no stopping me!
