Diana, her father, and her elder sister; Isabel who was head over heels in love with the crown prince, were the first to arrive at the banquet that the King threw in the honor of his first son; the crown prince. Her father has gotten a promotion as a duke walked majestically with his daughters by his side
He was ready to marry his youngest daughter off to one of the king's sons. That was his plan right from the beginning.
The rule was that the father would pick a suitor for any of their daughter that had come of age. And if the girl fails to abide by the rule, she would be beheaded.
The luxury at the party didn't flick her but her sister was doing the opposite. Her father had brought them here so that he could match them up with some dignitaries as suitors and not commoners.
Diana just clocked eighteen and she had to carry her cross alone while her sister was accused of killing her husband just because she didn't like him.
The youngest daughter of Mr. Wilson was beautiful and even before they got to the banquet, some men had already eyed her from afar much to the elder sister's horror.
She didn't like the idea of her younger sister getting all the glory.
Diana's appearance overshadowed that of her sister even though she didn't wear any makeup and only wore a plain blue gown. Her unblemished skin, alluring emerald green eyes, and dark ebony black hair. No man in their right senses was able to resist her charm.
People would usually stare at her, either in awe or envy. Her sister glared at her in envy from behind.
She wondered who her father would introduce her to. He did want to spend so much on her but the young lass bluntly refused. Her sister was dressed in an extravagant dress while she wore a plain dress.
The banquet hall was soo starting to get filled with guests of higher class. A few guests that know her father would come by to congratulate him on his promotion.
Some males took the opportunity to shower Diana with the compliment but she wasn't interested and they dived to share the compliment with her sister instead since that was what she loved.
Her father saw that his youngest daughter had already started with the rejection, he smiled and she quickly caught sight of that.
If her guess was right, her father already had someone in mind for her to marry. She kept on wondering who the mysterious person was and why her father hasn't given her any clue yet.
Diana excused herself to get some drinks while her sister flaunts around with some men.
She was a bit sober while she held the glass of wine in her hand which was about to fall because she was absentminded. A man prevented the glass from falling and that was her Diana came back to her senses.
"Oh thank you, mister." Diana gave a curtsey.
The man bowed before helping her to sit and also sat next to her. "I can see you were absentminded." The man said.
Diana nodded, not taking a proper look at the man's facial appearance but from his looks, he was a well-to-do man.
"I'm Williams." He extended his hand for a handshake and Diana did too.
"I'm Diana." She said gulping down the wine in her mouth in one go with a sour face.
Williams smiled, her expression was cute. "What is a beautiful lady like you doing out here, all alone?" The man asked trying to indulge her in a conversation with him.
"I'm here with my sister and father. I need to go now." She stood up and left even before the man could utter a word, she had already disappeared out of his sight.
The sound of a trumpet could be heard, and the King's arrival was promulgated. As usual, the hall was silent as everyone's gazes were at the entrance.
Most of them haven't seen the King before but had only heard of him.
A man came out from the entrance and most of them were surprised and to their disappointment, the King was already old and ready to join his ancestors.
The King sat elegantly on his throne and the arrival of the princes was announced.
Eyes traveled down to the entrance once again. The crown prince was the first to come out and his aura commanded attention and respect. The young ladies present in the hall including Isabel were going nuts already because of the sight of the crown prince.
The crown prince stood behind his father. The second prince was still charming just like the crown prince and still caught some attention from the ladies. He stood behind his father as well.
And there was the last prince, who everyone thought that the King had abandoned or well, would soon abandon, and came out of the entrance with dignity and pride. Upon seeing him, mouths fell open, breaths hitched, and eyes widened.
He was the only one that was wearing a mask and no one could see what his face looks like. His aura was screaming danger and his manly appearance was unearthly.
Standing behind his father, where everyone could see him clearly, his white eyes that had no eyelid were visible because the mask wasn't covering his eyes.
All eyes were now on the three princes and then on the old king whose grey hair cascaded down his back and a golden crown sat on top of his head. His black royal robe was adorned with golden embroideries and trailed behind him on the white marble floor.
Isabel had her eyes on the crown prince. She imagined standing next to the crown prince on the day of his coronation as King. He was so handsome and was beyond the way she had imagined him to be.
Other ladies admired both the crown prince and the second prince. Some were even shameless about their thoughts. No one dared to admire the cursed blind prince.
It was that same cursed blind prince that took Diana's attention. The blind prince that had no one to support him with his movement even though he was blind.
As Diana settled into the carriage, she couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment. She had been enjoying their time at the castle and didn't want it to end so soon. She turned to Damon, who was sitting next to her, and asked, "Why didn't you tell me we were leaving today?"Damon remained silent, which only added to Diana's frustration. She turned her attention to Sir Galahad and Sir Richard, who were sitting across from them. "How long will the journey take?" she asked.Sir Richard cleared his throat before replying, "It should take us about two days to reach the palace, my lady."Diana let out a sigh and leaned back against her seat. She gazed out the window at the passing countryside, which was filled with lush green fields and tall trees. "It's a shame we have to leave this beautiful place," she said wistfully.Sir Galahad nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it is. But duty calls, and we must answer."As they continued their journey, the environment around them changed. The lush g
Under the light of the full moon, a group of werewolves gathered in the forest. They were all pale-skinned, their eyes glowing in the darkness as they waited for their leader, Chaos, to arrive. As Chaos emerged from the shadows, the werewolves fell silent. He was a towering figure, with jet-black fur and piercing yellow eyes. He looked around at his followers, his expression cold and unreadable."Chaos, we were curious about the woman in the prophecy," one of the werewolves spoke up. "The celestial spirit told us that you need to be redeemed. Is it true that you have feelings for her?"Chaos snarled, his teeth bared. "That is none of your concern. The prophecy is just a means to an end. Our goal is to take revenge against the humans and gain dominion over the world."The werewolves murmured in agreement, but one of them spoke up. "But Chaos, if you are redeemed, won't that mean that we won't be able to achieve our goal? We need you to be coldhearted and ruthless."Chaos glared at the
Diana had been enjoying her stay at the lonely castle for the past few days. She had been exploring every nook and cranny of the castle, admiring the beautiful paintings and sculptures that adorned the walls and floors. She had also been spending a lot of time in the gardens, which were filled with colorful flowers and exotic plants. However, she had noticed that Damon had not been enjoying his stay as much as she had. Whenever Diana tried to make conversation with him, he would ignore her or give her short, monosyllabic answers. One day, after several failed attempts to engage Damon in a conversation, Diana finally managed to get him to talk to her. "So, Damon, what do you think of the costume party that's happening next week?" she asked, trying to sound casual.Damon sighed and looked up from his book. "I don't really care about the party, Diana," he replied, his voice flat.Diana was taken aback by his response. "But it's going to be so much fun! I've already made a costume for the
Damon felt the warmth of Diana's arms around him as he slowly opened his eyes. The room was dark, with only the soft glow of the moonlight filtering in through the curtains. As he gently slid out of bed, he could feel Diana's body stirring slightly, but he knew he had to leave. He carefully lifted Diana, cradling her in his arms, and carried her to her own bed. He gently laid her down, tucking her in and placing a soft kiss on her forehead before turning to leave. As he made his way to the window, he could feel the restlessness building within him. He had never slept before, his blindness making it impossible for him to fully rest. Instead, he had other duties to attend to at midnight. With a deep breath, Damon raised the window and leaped out into the cool night air. As soon as his feet hit the ground, his body began to shift and contort. Bones cracked and muscles stretched as he transformed into a magnificent wolf. The transformation was always exhilarating, and Damon relished the f
Prince Damon lay in his bed, the darkness of the room enveloping him. He heard footsteps approaching and a soft rustling as Diana, his new companion, settled into her own bed on the other side of the room."Goodnight, Prince Damon," Diana said softly."Goodnight, Diana," Damon replied, his voice cool and distant. There was a moment of silence before Diana spoke again. "I know this is an unusual arrangement, but I hope we can both make the best of it."Damon sighed. "Yes, it is certainly unusual. But I suppose we must make the best of it, as you say."Diana shifted in her bed. "Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable, Your Highness?"Damon frowned. "I am blind, Diana. I do not require comfort."Diana's voice was gentle. "I understand that, but I still want to make sure you are not feeling uneasy in any way."Damon was silent for a moment before he spoke again. "Very well, if it will make you feel better, you may light a candle."Diana lit a candle on the nightstand betw
Damon and Diana rode in silence as they approached the castle. The journey had been long and exhausting, and Diana was feeling uneasy. She had heard rumors about the blind prince Damon, and his reputation for being cold and unapproachable made her nervous. As they arrived at the castle, the knights who had escorted them – Sir Richard and Sir Galahad – bid them farewell and rode off into the distance.Damon and Diana dismounted their horses and made their way into the castle. It was dark and drafty, and Diana shivered as they walked down the long, winding corridors. Finally, they came to a stop in front of a large wooden door. Damon pushed it open, and a musty smell wafted out."This will be our bedroom," he said, gesturing inside.Diana peered in, her eyes widening in shock. "This is...our bedroom?" she asked incredulously. The room was sparse and unfurnished, with just a single bed in the center. The walls were bare, and the windows were covered in thick curtains that blocked out al
