Royal Banquet

last update Last Updated: 2022-11-29 01:34:44

The party started with blissful music. The females were ought to dance with a respective male on the dance floor before they would have the banquet.

Isabel rejected the young men that came to ask her for a dance but she bluntly refused them, hoping to have a dance with the crown prince.

She stood beside her father, who cared less about her ever since she was accused of killing her husband.

On the other hand, Diana was just been forced to act like a proper lady by her father. While she was receiving several scoldings from her father, the crown prince came to ask for a dance.

Her elder sister was about to throw a tantrum because she wanted to have a dance with the crown prince.

Diana denied the crown prince's request for her to join him for a dance but her father forced her and apologized to the crown prince on her behalf.

The latter had no choice but to succumb. She saw Williams also dancing with a beautiful lady, and a sigh of relief escaped her lips. Hopefully thinking that she'd spare Williams a dance.

The dance between Diana and the crown prince went well. The lass was uncomfortable because of the continual stare she was receiving from the crown prince.

"Why would a beautiful maiden like you dress up in a plain outfit?" The crown prince asked, examining her body.

Diana wanted to push him away from her. His hand was tightly wrapped around her waist and hers to his neck.

"I don't mind the type of outfit I wear, Milord." Diana firmly said not wanting to offend the prince.

The crown prince smiled. This girl was tough and he was beginning to have an interest in her while her sister silked away in anger and envy.

She swore that if Diana gets married into the palace, she'll separate her head from her body.

"Sounds interesting." Diana heard the crown prince say.

This time, she wanted to take the opportunity to ask about the blind prince that was rumored to be cursed. If only the crown prince won't get offended by her question.

"Milord, was the last prince born without a sight?" Diana asked curiously, leading the dance so she won't step on his foot.

The silence from the crown prince made her worry if she had offended him with her question. Her worry soon disappeared after she heard him laughing.

"Are you interested in that cursed man?" The crown prince asked raising his brow in disgust.

Why would he call his brother a cursed man? Diana asked inwardly.

"But he is your brother!" Diana retorted, harshly but calmly.

Now, the crown prince was offended.

"Before I ascend the throne, I must make sure to kill him because he'd be a threat and deserves to die." The crown prince gritted his teeth. He looked scary in the way he spoke without any sense of humor.

Diana stopped dancing and excused herself to leave and so she did, thinking about what the crown prince had just said.

Her sister was blinded by his charm and didn't know his true colors.

She wanted to leave and go back home to rest but her father was too clingy. He blocked the entrance, and a frown settled on his face, making the lass groan in frustration.

"Where do you think you're going, Diana?" Mr. Wilson glared at his youngest daughter. She disliked her naive attitude.

Before Diana could defend herself, her sister intervened. Diana rolled her eyes, she knew her sister was here for trouble but to her surprise, her sister burst into tears.

"Father, can't you see you're just forcing her? This is not the life she wants." Isabel said sobbing.

Diana was tongue-tied, her sister is such a drama queen, always doing things to her advantage.

"Isabel, stay out of this. I wasn't the one who asked you to kill your husband. You wouldn't have been a widow by now." Mr. Wilson said almost yelling.

The girl named Isabel was pissed to the core by her father's words.

A widow?

"Father, I've told you times without number, I didn't kill my so-called husband." Isabel gnashed her teeth and stormed out of the hall angrily.

Mr. Wilson didn't care at all about his first daughter, all he wanted was for his youngest daughter to get married to one of the princes except for the last prince who had no future.

"The banquet is about to begin. The crown prince might have interest in you." He snatched her hand and took her to sit next to him when the banquet started.

The event would have been a meat-heavy affair, with the insatiable king's favorite dishes including venison and birds such as swan or peacock, often served cooked on a platter with their feathers fanned flamboyantly as if they were still alive. Sweet puddings would have punctured the savory courses, rather than being served at the end.

It has very well-maintained interiors, a well-lit hall, and adequate furniture to accommodate a reasonable number of guests. It also provides a raised platform for conducting ceremonies and there is also ample space for catering.

Diana sat opposite the cursed blind prince, while her father say next to her. She couldn't eat properly, her attention was on the last prince.

Seeing his daughter's attention focused on the cursed blind prince, Mr. Wilson pinched her tight from under the table with an ugly look.

Both father and daughter were closer to the king than other guests. That way, they got to have more conversations with the King.

"Where's your eldest daughter, Sir Wilson?" The crown prince asked.

Diana glanced at him for a while. So this crown prince still notices her sister. She would be pleased to know about it.

"She left early." Mr. Wilson replied but his answer didn't satisfy the crown prince.

Meanwhile, Isabel had other plans other than to terminate her sister's happiness for good.

She was really getting on her nerves and she would go to any extent to terminate it.

She turned to Damon, who was sitting next to her, and asked, "Why didn't you tell me we were leaving today?"Damon remained silent, which only added to Diana's frustration. She turned her attention to Sir Galahad and Sir Richard, who were sitting across from them. "How long will the journey take?" she asked.Sir Richard cleared his throat before replying, "It should take us about two days to reach the palace, my lady."Diana let out a sigh and leaned back against her seat. She gazed out the window at the passing countryside, which was filled with lush green fields and tall trees. "It's a shame we have to leave this beautiful place," she said wistfully.Sir Galahad nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it is. But duty calls, and we must answer."As they continued their journey, the environment around them changed. The lush g

  • Taming The Blind Wolf   Redemption And Love

Under the light of the full moon, a group of werewolves gathered in the forest. They were all pale-skinned, their eyes glowing in the darkness as they waited for their leader, Chaos, to arrive. As Chaos emerged from the shadows, the werewolves fell silent. He was a towering figure, with jet-black fur and piercing yellow eyes. He looked around at his followers, his expression cold and unreadable."Chaos, we were curious about the woman in the prophecy," one of the werewolves spoke up. "The celestial spirit told us that you need to be redeemed. Is it true that you have feelings for her?"Chaos snarled, his teeth bared. "That is none of your concern. The prophecy is just a means to an end. Our goal is to take revenge against the humans and gain dominion over the world."The werewolves murmured in agreement, but one of them spoke up. "But Chaos, if you are redeemed, won't that mean that we won't be able to achieve our goal? We need you to be coldhearted and ruthless."Chaos glared at the

  • Taming The Blind Wolf   Having A Great Time

Diana had been enjoying her stay at the lonely castle for the past few days. She had also been spending a lot of time in the gardens, which were filled with colorful flowers and exotic plants. However, she had noticed that Damon had not been enjoying his stay as much as she had. Whenever Diana tried to make conversation with him, he would ignore her or give her short, monosyllabic answers. One day, after several failed attempts to engage Damon in a conversation, Diana finally managed to get him to talk to her. "So, Damon, what do you think of the costume party that's happening next week?" she asked, trying to sound casual.Damon sighed and looked up from his book. "I don't really care about the party, Diana," he replied, his voice flat.Diana was taken aback by his response. "But it's going to be so much fun! I've already made a costume for the

He heard footsteps approaching and a soft rustling as Diana, his new companion, settled into her own bed on the other side of the room."Goodnight, Prince Damon," Diana said softly."Goodnight, Diana," Damon replied, his voice cool and distant. There was a moment of silence before Diana spoke again. "I know this is an unusual arrangement, but I hope we can both make the best of it."Damon sighed. "Yes, it is certainly unusual. But I suppose we must make the best of it, as you say."Diana shifted in her bed. "Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable, Your Highness?"Damon frowned. "I am blind, Diana. I do not require comfort."Diana's voice was gentle. "I understand that, but I still want to make sure you are not feeling uneasy in any way."Damon was silent for a moment before he spoke again. "Very well, if it will make you feel better, you may light a candle."Diana lit a candle on the nightstand betw

  • Taming The Blind Wolf   The Castle

It was dark and drafty, and Diana shivered as they walked down the long, winding corridors. Finally, they came to a stop in front of a large wooden door. Damon pushed it open, and a musty smell wafted out."This will be our bedroom," he said, gesturing inside.Diana peered in, her eyes widening in shock. "This is...our bedroom?" she asked incredulously. The room was sparse and unfurnished, with just a single bed in the center. • Taming The Blind Wolf   Let Innocent People Die

Prince Raymond sat at the head of the table, his father, the old king, to his right. The large, ornate courtroom was filled with advisors and important figures from around the kingdom. The topic at hand was the recent attacks by a werewolf that had been terrorizing the kingdom, targeting young women and brutally murdering them."I propose that we increase the number of guards in the affected areas, Your Highness," said one of the advisors, a grizzled old man with a thick beard. "We need to ensure the safety of our citizens.""Agreed," said Raymond, nodding his head. "We will also offer a reward for any information leading to the capture of the werewolf. We need to bring an end to this before any more innocent lives are lost."The others around the table murmured their agreement, but Raymond couldn't help but notice that his younger brother, the Crown Prince Klaus, remained silent throughout the meeting. It was unusual for Klaus to not speak up during these types of discussions, and
