I was thankful to James for helping me and now that I wanted to return, it was best I did it without his knowledge because if he tagged along I would feel that I was pulling him in a very dangerous situation along with me. Although he was very strong, he could still die when the time came just like Ethan did. I could only think of abandoning him for his own good so I decided to leave early the next morning when he was still sleeping.
