In a matter of three weeks, I had a few of the best-named businesses as clients for my company. A month later, my investment was doubled and I could finally afford help. It’s been a year since everything happened. Since I got engaged to the Zane brothers and since we joined our companies together. Our clients have tripled in size now that I am checking everything; which works out since the doctor has me on bed rest until the babies are born. I look down at my VERY swollen belly. I didn’t want to stay at the hospital until I delivered, but I was also told that if I was going to go home, then I’d have to be on bed rest until I delivered. I sat at my computer and rubbed my eyes as I ran my paper through Grammarly. This was the final paper I needed for my class before I graduated college, and it needed to be perfect. To say that I’m stressed is an understatement. Not to mention I have an interview in an hour for the biggest company in my field, Zane Incorporated. They’re a Software company specializing in everything, from websites to video games. The company is run by four brothers who are, according to the press, incredibly brilliant and, according to some of the women in my class, possibly the sexiest men in the entire city, perhaps the whole world. Panic. That’s the best way to explain what is going through my mind as I enter Zane Incorporated. I placed a cup on top of coffee on Amber’s desk, “Good morning, Amber.” I say with a smile. Amber takes the coffee and nods to me, “Good luck today.” She told me as I quickly made my way to the elevator. I pushed the button and watched as the doors began to shut, and I started going towards the top floor. Once I reached the top, I knocked on the door four times. As the days turned into weeks, I began getting ready for our trip to Brindleton. Packing my bags, printing off our tickets, and making sure to go over my checklist to be sure everything was prepared. Once I triple-checked my lists and bags, I put them by the door and grabbed my keys before heading to work. When I arrived, I set Amber’s coffee and a muffin on her desk before heading up to see the guys. They each were on the phone talking to other companies, at least that’s what I assume. I went by each one and set down their coffees and muffins before heading out to my desk to get a few last-minute details situated while they finished their meetings. As we made our way onto the plane, I made sure we all got to our seats. We all managed to get seats close together. Once I found my seat, I set my backpack in the overhead compartment after grabbing my laptop and sat down in my seat. Not even a moment later, Anthony sat down next to me. I looked over at him, curious as to why he was sitting with me, “I thought this seat was empty.” I said, but he shook his head, “Afraid not.” He tells me, “Would you rather me trade with one of the others?” I gave him a slight smile before replying,“There’s no sense in that. When we finally reached Brindleton, Florida, and our hotel, I checked us in and passed out room keys. We were all on the same floor but a few rooms apart, which was nice. We all went to our rooms; I dragged my heavy suitcase in and set it on the bed, beginning to unpack and put things away so it was easier to manage. Once I was completely unpacked, I decided to freshen up with a shower. The water engulfed my body in its steam as I started washing myself. It helped to soothe my aching muscles from the flight here. I didn’t think I was in there long, but it appears I was when the sound of knocking hit my hotel room door. “Just a second,” I called out, rinsing my body of the soap before cutting off the water and reaching for my towel. I snuggled close to the warm body next to me, too comfortable to move but knew I needed to get up. I sat up and stretched my arms before being pulled back into the bed by the strong arms that had held me the entire night, “Ten more minutes.” Dustin pleaded sleepily. I smiled at his plea but began prying myself from his grip. Once I was up, I went straight for the bathroom to get ready for the day.
