Caspian Bianchi had successfully overworked my brain cells. I spent most of the weekend thinking about what he meant when he said getting rid of Alexander, what he was up to when he vowed that I was never going to marry the man, and what was going through his brain when he approached my fiancé and told him to break up with me.

The worst part was that Alexander didn’t act like anything weird happened. It made me wonder if Caspian had just been messing me with or if he really went to see the guy.

I needed to talk to him fast before things got more out of control. I hated it when things came as a surprise to me. I loved planning out every part of my life and Caspian was ruining those plans one after the other. It annoyed me greatly that even when I tried not to, all I could think about was him. Fuck him.

Someone knocked on the door to my office, bringing me out of my thoughts, and I looked up as Ava walked in. She dropped a file in front of me.
