Chapter 25

My lips were parted throughout as Fenris toured me around their mansion. I couldn't stop looking up at the high ceiling and around the corners with every huge room door.

He explained to me some important rooms that I shouldn't dare to open and some rooms that were owned specifically by his family.

A sigh of relief escaped from my mouth as he mentioned his mother wasn't around. As much as I wanted to be ready, I couldn't stop myself from getting intimidated by all the shiny things I was witnessing. I was anxious, afraid to be belittled by his mom. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case.

"This is amazing." My eyes glittered at Fenris as we continued roaming around. "I mean, this is much bigger than your mansion in California."

Fenris just smiled at me. He looked patient now compared to his face way back in my country.

"There are so many rooms." I touched the silky door that we passed by. "Your family members must be so many."

He shrugged. "It's not only my family members that live here.
