Zinnia

Oh my God

I was going to pass out right now. Because what did she mean I’d have to serve as Dylan’s concierge for 30 days?

I mean Dylan? As in Dylan Reed?

The same man who hates my guts and expects me to walk the other way or run whenever I see him? The same one I was meant to avoid?

What kind of disaster was this? No. I couldn’t do it, how would it even work? He’d kill me before I even started. I had to say something.

“Uhhh ma’am I’m a little confused.” I started and she frowned. Sweet Jesus help me. Why did she look like she was fucking trying to murder me?

“Confused about what? Confused about being employed?” She rolled her eyes and I scratched my nape.

Oh, how was I going to say this to this big-headed mean lady?

“Ma I mean I didn’t apply to be a concierge, so I’m surprised you’re offering me a role as one. I originally applied to supply WilderSphere Events with ushers and hostesses.”

“I have a business I own. It's called Zinnia HostPro Services. I really need funding that’s why I applied to get the contract to supply WilderSphere with ushers Ma, not to be a concierge.”

She frowned as I finished explaining as though I had just made a terrible statement I wasn’t supposed to make.

“And so? Did I tell you I didn’t read your contract proposal? What is it with you, these poor folks, and having a leaking mouth?” She questioned angrily.

I bowed my head slightly trying to hide my face. I was beyond pissed and the only reason why my fist was not connecting with her jaw was because I was trying to control my temper.

If for anything, let me keep it in check because I needed the money so I could pay off my father’s loan.

“You were late to your interview where you were expected. The only reason you have a second chance now is because my husband insists on hiring you.”

“He claims that you’re the only person who can help but Dylan Reed in check which to me is nonsense but I’m just going by what he says.”

“So you have the job.” She said.

Hold on, was this a woman not listening to me? I didn’t apply to be a concierge. I don’t care what transpired or what kind of conversation her husband and she had.

I wasn’t going to be a concierge to Dylan. That was basically throwing myself to the wolves and even if I do survive and he doesn’t kill me, he’d just turn me into a slave I know it.

He and his team…

Especially that manager of his. They’d love to start sending me on errands all in the name of me being his personal “concierge.”

No.

“But ma…” I tried to speak up and she raised a hand to silence me.

“I understand you applied to supply us ushers and hostesses. As I said, I read your contract proposal. The position as concierge is temporary and just for 30 days, and if you do well…” She let the words hang and stared deeply into my eyes.

“The contract with WilderSphere Events is automatically yours.” She said and I smiled.

I really didn’t want to be anywhere near that man but if this was the only way, then I guess I was going to take it even if I still think it is ridiculous.

Ailany and I needed the money.

It will help offset our late father’s loans and also save our house to preserve his memories.

“So do you want this job or do you not want this job, I have things to do,” Juliet asked impatiently.

“I want the job ma. Thank you.” I replied immediately.

She looked me up and down then gave a faint smile.

“Good, my assistant will give you your employment letter and bring you up to speed. And also Zinnia or whatever your name is, put some effort into your outfits.”

“If you’re going to be working with us, you need to dress better. Take a look at the girls at work today and copy a thing or two from their fashion style.” She said and I forced a smile.

“Thank you,” I replied before turning to leave.

I could already tell that working with someone like Juliet Wilder was going to be a lot. She had a terrible personality and I was sure she was going to give me problems but I was going to bear it.

Then there was Dylan.

I knew getting him to come to terms with the fact that I was his personal concierge for 30 days wasn’t going to be easy.

Like I understood, he had a contract with WilderSphere to perform at one of their event houses or something. I didn’t really know what was going on there but I knew the contract with them was meant to last for a month.

So that means throughout the time he’d be working with us, I’d be working with him as his concierge.

Great.

Well, I could do it though. No one was worth me losing such money.

“How was it? You don’t look so happy, what happened?” Ailany rushed towards me as I walked towards her in the lobby.

“I kind of got the contract,” I explained and she cocked her brows.

“Kind of?” She stressed and I nodded.

“She offered me employment as Mr Dylan Reed’s personal concierge for 30 days and after that, I was going to get the contract automatically,” I explained and her mouth flew open.

“Uhh… I mean great deal but Dylan? How are you going to cope?” She asked.

“I have to somehow, if I get the contract, I could earn up to $2 million per year in profits and it is a good deal. I’m not about to lose that over anyone.”

“Not even Dylan Reed,” I replied and started walking away.

Dylan“What exactly do you think you’re doing?” Helena’s voice rang through the penthouse the moment I stepped inside and I sighed. Why the hell had she come to visit me today of all days? I mean should’ve known she wouldn’t let me not showing up to any of her events slide. But wasn’t this an overreaction? Showing up to my crib without an invitation? It’s a good thing Zinnia was out with Wyatt, and she wouldn’t have to see whatever trouble Helena was about to make.Hold on…Why was I thinking about Zinnia right now when she was nowhere in sight? I loosened my tie and tossed my car keys onto the console. “I’ve had a long day, Helena.”“So have I.” She folded her arms across her chest, glaring at me like I was the villain in her story. “You’ve been avoiding me Dylan.”She was right.I’ve been ignoring her and it wasn’t intentional. I’ve just had a lot of my hands. “I’ve been busy.” I simply replied and she laughed like I just said something funny.“No, you’ve been avoiding me.” She r

Ailany“I want you again,” I whispered against his mouth and Travis’s eyes darkened. How was it possible that I still wanted him this much after how he’d wrecked me only a few minutes ago? I was truly going insane at this point. But maybe I needed this excitement. He was still buried inside me, half-hard and twitching. Without a word he rolled his hips, pushing deeper into me.“Oh, God!” I gasped, throwing my head back in bliss as the stretch burned in the best way.Travis slowly increased his pace, his hips slamming against mine and his body pulling me in place, each thrust deliberate. “Just keep going please,” I begged, my hands gripping his shoulders tightly. The wet sound of our bodies filled the quiet room.“You feel too good,” he muttered. “Hot. Tight. Already dripping for more.”He slapped my ass, the sound echoing in the room, I moaned, wrapping my legs higher around him as the sensation sent waves of heat through my body.He picked up the pace, hips snapping harder. Pleasur

AilanyHis fingers closed around mine, and he led me out of the restaurant. The moment we got outside, Travis walked me towards his car and opened the passenger door for me.“Thank you.” I smiled shyly before getting in.He got into the driver’s seat a few seconds later and drove off. For some reason, the car was suddenly too quiet.“You’re quiet,” Travis said.“I’m trying not to think too hard.”“About what?”“About how stupid this probably is.” I turned towards him. “I barely know anything about you. You practically avoided all my questions, yet here I am following you home.”His hand moved to my thigh, and my breath caught when he squeezed it gently. “You can still say no.”I should have. Instead, my legs parted a fraction, giving him more room. His fingers slid higher, just an inch, and my breath stuttered.“I’m not saying no,” I whispered.Something dark flickered in his eyes before he looked back at the road. His hand remained on my thigh for the rest of the drive, occasionally

Ailany“Let’s just eat.” I blushed, looking down at my food.Great! Now I can’t even concentrate on enjoying my meal again. I was just thinking about him taking my dress off me and being inside of me.When did I get so… You know what, never mind.“So what do you do for fun? Any hobbies, or things you enjoy doing in particular?” Travis asked and I rolled my eyes. Has this man never heard of ‘table manners'? I knew I was being a hypocrite right now because I’ve been talking since but it didn’t matter, I wanted to eat “Let’s just eat. Don’t talk until after we’re done with our meals,” I scolded, and surprisingly, he nodded.“Yes, ma’am.”I narrowed my eyes at him before focusing on my food. Although I’ve caught him stealing glances at me every few minutes.I’ve been pretending not to notice until I couldn’t take it anymore. Was there something on my face? Was that why he kept staring?“Why do you keep looking at me?” I dropped my spoon.“Am I not allowed to look at my date?” “Not lik

  • Tempted by my Best Friend’s Brother    Chapter 63: A Date

Ailany “So what would you like to eat?” Travis asked and I looked up shyly.Gosh.I was on a date with him but I couldn’t help but still be shy. I didn’t even know why I accepted his offer to take me out in the first place but maybe it was because I was longing for something other than bills or worries.Sarah was already helping me out with my career where she could and I’d stopped worrying a lot about the debts. But this had made my relationship with Zinnia strained.I just…I just wanted something exciting in my life. I wanted to love and be loved, and even though Travis was only offering me pleasure right now…It wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing to pick him up on that right? I mean I’d never expected it to go beyond a one night stand, heck I didn’t even expect to ever see him again. But I did…And then he’d told me he wanted to know me. He’d ask me not to run away from whatever this was and he’d said he wasn’t going to let me run off again. Not to forget he was right about me w

Travis “So you’re certain he’s involved with this girl?” I asked my assistant and he nodded.“She’s always around me and the vibe around them seems to give off that.” He replied and I frowned.Anyone could have a fucking vibe! That was not what I expected to hear. I wanted to know if the almighty Dylan Reed had been tamed. I didn’t want to hear that he had a ‘vibe’ with a woman. How does that matter in the grand scheme of things?“Anyone can have a vibe with the next person, that doesn’t matter. Besides, it’s known that she’s his concierge, so it’s normal she’s always around him.”“I expected you to find me something relevant and not this”. I said.He fumbled with the bag he was carrying for a while, then brought out a brown paper bag and placed it in front of me. I didn’t touch it though.I watched him closely, waiting for him to tell me what was in the bag. “In here, it contains files and pictures of Dylan the girl on different occasions. The best part?
