Chapter 8

“Hmnnhh..!” Tanya let out a moan as her body bent back, her hand stretches out as well as her toes.

“Haa..” there’s another sound that sounded near Tanya, the man wipes his sweat as he let out another breath.

“I…can’t...! I can’t…take it anymore…” Tanya mumble as her voice sounded weak as if she’s pleading to someone.

“Heh, we’re not finished yet” the man let out a chuckle as he smiles, he wipes the sweat in his forehead before…….

“It’s so f*cking hot in here! I might die!” it was the bartender who shouted in the staff room, Tanya also thought this to her mind as she felt the intense heat in the room.

Tanya stretches her hand as she sits in the chair while her coworker also sat down in the other chair while writing on the paper as he wipes his sweat from time to time.

It’s already been 4 days since Tanya started working in the club, in those 4 days, Tanya was already familiarized with the staff.

It’s already 12 in the noon yet it still feels like summer although it’s already autumn.

“How’s your money Tanvi?” the man playfully asked Tanya as he leaned back to his chair, looking at Tanya.

Hearing the man’s words, Tanya suddenly remembered the event 4 days ago.

It was a normal day after the incident, the customer is nice and has been cooperative with the staff compared to earlier.

As time passes by and Tanya is busy taking the drinks to the customer that she almost forgets the incident if the manager didn’t call her at the end of her shift.

“Haa…first day at the job and I’m getting called over” Tanya muttered to herself as she looks down, she slowly walks to the manager’s office with her right thumb on her left palm.

[Knock][knock]

“Sir, you called me?” Tanya’s voice was calm, her eyes lowered as she hides the nervousness in her voice

“Come in” Wayne’s calm voice sounded inside the room, hearing Wayne’s voice was calm and didn’t have the slight anger on his tone, it made Tanya even more nervous and afraid of losing this job.

[Creak]

Tanya opened the door cautiously, she carefully closes the door with her head lowered, afraid of looking at Wayne’s face although she knew it’s rude to do so.

“Don’t be tense, boy! Sit down!” Wayne lightens up the mood as he felt it was getting heavier as the second goes by, he lightly slaps the table and he cheerfully smiles at her benefactor.

Tanya felt déjà vu to her Wayne’s word, she also felt dumbfounded by Wayne’s expression. He looks at Tanya as he owed her some money, his expression showed that as if Tanya was sort of his benefactor or something.

Tanya sat down on the chair with her hands together, her legs sticking together. Wayne saw her tense posture and couldn’t help but chuckle.

“A petite-looking handsome man who could punch a well-built and throw him a meter away, is now, here having a tense posture?” the man chortle as he moves his gaze to Tanya’s nervous eyes.

Tanya couldn’t help but flinch as she heard his words, she knew he was talking to her.

When the two looks at each other, Tanya didn’t let go of the opportunity and quickly apologized to Wayne.

“I’m sorry sir! Please don’t fire me, sir! I will learn my lesson and I won’t put my nose to other people’s business, please give me a chance sir before firing me!” Tanya quickly bowed down deeply as she apologized to Wayne, her eyes are tightly shut as both of her hands clenched both sides of her pants.

Wayne was dumbfounded and shocked by Tanya’s sudden apology, it took him a hot second to react before stopping Tanya.

“Sit straight, sit straight!” Wayne stops up in a hurry as he told Tanya to sit straight, Tanya could hear the panic in her manager’s voice as she sits straight.

Silence filled the whole room as Tanya lowered her head while Wayne gets back from his seat and let out a sigh.

“Am I…getting fired?” Tanya asks with great sadness in her tone, her head still lowered as she spoke. Tanya’s expression was sour but the expression on her eyes was empty, not the kind of look on her eyes you expect.

“What? No, no, I called you here because it’s about the woman you save” Wayne quickly denied as he stated the reason why she got called over, he put both of his elbows to the armchair as the fingers clasp together.

Tanya heard his word; she quickly looks up when she heard that he won’t fire her.

“Why would I fire you? in fact, I should give you a raise but since it’s your first day, it’s going to be unfair to the other employee’s” Wayne continued his words, he wryly smiles at her.

“Actually, the woman you saved earlier is one of the richest people in the country. Having been saved by you, she decided to give you money for your sister’s surgery” He added with a bright smile on his face.

Wayne’s last sentence cause Tanya to frown slightly, she put her hand on her forehead before looking straight at Wayne with disbelief in her eyes.

“Wait sir, how did she know about my sister’s surgery?” Tanya couldn’t help but ask Wayne, her eyes widening as she slightly clenches the side of her uniform.

“Oh…Haha, well, I might have accidentally spilled out some information to her” Wayne could only dryly laugh as he scratched his head in embarrassment, his smile stiffening as he admitted his mistake to her.

Tanya’s eyebrow couldn’t help but narrow together, she remembered the law and the contract that she signed when she was hired.

“Sir…do you know that it’s a crime to tell your worker’s information let alone personal information to someone else without the person’s consent? Also, the contract says that the higher-up, supervisor, and even someone like me who has just been hired, can go to jail for leaking personal’s information to your staff without the person’s consent” Tanya stated the facts straight into Wayne’s face.

Although she knew that some people couldn’t help but gossip, Tanya didn’t want her personal information let alone her private life to be leaked out to someone who she didn’t know causing her to state the fact to Wayne with a slight threat on her words.
