Iza was busy preparing to have some fun when he heard someone barging on his door violently. It was almost like the person planned on breaking down the door.

He glanced at it and then sighed. The maid who was on her knees with her mouth open quickly shut it at his instructions and stepped aside while he adjusted his clothes before walking to open it.

Immediately, he pulled the door open, Aldridge pushed him inside and landed a punch instantly across his face, causing Iza to stagger backwards and almost fall on the ground.

The maid gasped at the scene. She stared at Aldridge, whose eyes had become bloodshot as he moved closer to Iza.

Without waiting for anyone to tell her what was next, she fled out of the room.

Iza rubbed his mouth where he had gotten hit and rolled his tongue with a slight dark chuckle before getting pulled by Aldridge.

"How dare you lay your hand on him?"

"What? Who do you mean?"

"Don't act silly with me or else, I will have your teeth flying across this room i

A finger moved...Then another finger...Then a slight shift to the side and a visible frown on Valen's face that indicated the pain from her stiff body. Her eyes slowly opened, the vision a bit blurry from being shut for so long. She blinked a few times and when it seemed like she could see clearly, her blinking reduced. She turned her head around and noticed that she was on her bed. On her left hand side was Lucan, snoring soundly. He was the only person in her room. Valen tried sitting up but then the sting from her injury forced her to hiss loudly. Lucan, who was snoring just a few seconds ago, got up on his feet as if he had been awakened suddenly. "You've woken up?" He wasn't necessarily asking. His tone was more surprised, quickly embraced by the mask of relief at that. He went over to her side and helped her sit up. He poured her a glass of water, and Valen chugged, letting the water soothe her parched throat. After she was done, Lucan calmly collected the glass from he

Lucan stood up at the sound of the door being unlocked. Even though he had been kept far away from the incident for safety, he couldn't help but get even more anxious than he was for several reasons. He was concerned about the safety of others dear to him — Valen and Aldridge precisely. Aside from that, if Aldridge didn't end up keeping his promise, who else was going to know that he was locked up here? The thoughts of remaining in this not-so-bright room with no food and water only made him scared. But it seemed like that wouldn't be happening. The door opened fully and Aldridge entered, feeling a bit exhausted. Lucan was relieved that he was alright. "Aldridge..." His voice softened. The latter hugged him tightly, sniffing his hair while his left hand patted his hair and the right hand wrapped around his waist for comfort. Lucan hugged him back, "I'm so glad you're alright. I was so scared.""Yeah, I know." Aldridge then rested his forehead against Lucan's for a while, both

A few hours later, Rhydian stepped out of his room in a daze. He had already finished attending to Valen's wounds. Luckily for her, she was still breathing But Rhydian didn't seem to be relieved. It wasn't even the fight that had happened that night that consumed him. It was his sudden discovery instead. While he was still lost in thought, Aldridge rushed over to his side."My Lord, are you alright?" He held Rhydian's arms as his eyes ran through Rhydian's body for a few seconds before they landed back on Rhydian's pale and empty ones. "Are you alright? Are you perhaps injured anywhere?" Although Rhydian didn't give an instant reply, Aldridge wouldn't have known as Iza made his entrance looking disheveled. "The vampires have left but we were able to capture a few of them." He announced. The two men looked at Rhydian for further instructions. But the man simply turned and began to walk away from them "What is wrong with him?" Iza whispered, gesticulating as he asked. Aldridge's

Valen wasn't quick enough to find Star. He tried his best, asking other fellow werewolf maids brought along to feed the King's beast some time ago. The whole place had scattered. And for each turn that Valen took, all he saw were corpses of werewolves. This only affected him. Because reminding himself that he was the reason behind this fight wasn't something he could bear. He looked around, his hands shaking, his eyes red and swollen from hot tears that he was shading. Not only were the corpses on the ground, but seeing his people getting shot wasn't on his list. He couldn't even locate the King or Aldridge or Iza. But he knew that they must be trying to fight off the intruders. Just then, he heard a stern voice from behind."I finally found you."Valen slowly turned his trembling body around only to see a vampire with wounds in front of him. His clothes were torn, and he was holding a metal, sharp object in his left hand. He appeared deadly and was hardly breathing normally

  • That Was No Prince: She fooled the Lycanis   THIS FRIENDSHIP IS OVER

Valen had not even settled in fully at night when someone knocked on his door. He turned to look at who it was soon after the door was opened. "Star? It's you." Valen said and put on his clothes. Star stepped and shut the door. She leaned against it and watched Valen sit on his bed. "Is there any problem? Do you need to see me?" "If I didn't, I don't think I would be here — bothering you at night." "Well, go ahead then," "I saw Alpha Jethrom earlier today." Valen looked away with his lips slightly parted. He licked his lower lip as his mind wandered. He knew he was going to face it. It was like his most dreaded moment had come. "Good. From your expression, it seems you know too." "How sure are you that it's Alpha Jethrom?" "Don't play that mind game with me, Valen. I can recognize that man's face and voice any freaking time. He is like a peacock. He was being dragged away by two guards when I saw him today. I want to understand why he was bei
