Chapter 21

After sitting for a while, Velma packed her stuff and left the office. The sky had already darkened and night was approaching.

Just as she reached the parking, she saw a lonely figure of a man standing beside her car, Velma halted in her steps. She has heard a lot of stories of people getting assaulted, she was scared to move forward.

Albert who had heard footsteps turned around to look when he did not hear someone moving anymore. Velma was standing there, looking at him with vigilance.

"Why did you stop?" Albert did not know what Velma was thinking about and asked softly.

Seeing that it was Albert, Velma heaved a sigh of relief. It was dark in the parking lot so it was hard to make out the figure standing beside her car from the darkness.
