Crissy’s Point of View

While on our way to Brentwood, we sit in the car while Austin drives. At this moment, I felt uncomfortable and uneasy. The words that Zack told me about how Austin. Austin killing his mate still haunts me. I stare out the window, not wanting to cause a scene, especially not in front of my brother. Maybe I should ask Michael or Alexander. They could perhaps shine some light on things. Can I really trust Austin, or will he also kill me when he gets tired?

“Crissy.” Austin breaks the silence

“Yeah,” I respond

“I haven’t asked yet. Are you sure you're okay? You seem a bit off. Is it the pain?” he asked.

“Yeah, no. I'm fine, just a bit in pain from the kicking and so on.” I give a fake smile, then stare out of the window

“There are some pain meds in the center console.”

“I'm good, thanks. I think I'll manage.” I let out a nervous giggle

“Looks like Thomas is tired. He has been sleeping the whole trip.”

“Yeah.” I look at Thomas in the back seat
