Chapter 4

After the strange man had gone, I decided to check the name written on the card and I saw Eden Anderson , the CEO of Anderson Inventions , also the Alpha of Redmoon pack and what I had noticed earlier was that he had only one eye and the other was covered by a black patch. It was so strange how so many weird people existed in the world.

  As I was making my way into the town, I had to pass Lucas' bar and I really did not want seeing as it was the main centre of attraction and basically everyone visited there. As I passed, I saw Ceaser and Lucas .I dared not look at their side as I feared they would call me.

But fate had other plans and decided to play some sort of games with my destiny. My eyes caught up with Ceaser and I should have made a U turn immediately but I remained glued to the spot and could not move an inch.

Kate! Kate! Kate! Ceaser called out to me but before I could make a move and run, obviously, he had faster reflexes than me and easily caught up with me. He used one of his hands to drag me to himself and lifted me on his shoulders which were of course very broad and taut.

Hey! drop me you handsome psycho. So you do admit that I am very handsome that is very pleasant to hear. Don't be such a narcissist, I don't recall calling you handsome , you must just be hearing things and please drop me down,this is very weird and sort of crazy. 

 No, I enjoy having you on my shoulders besides,you are very small and petite, said Ceaser. Hey! That was rude and I am not small. I weigh my 5" 3 with pride. And you say you are not small.You are very cute mi amor. Why am I on your shoulders, please just drop me down.

Sorry for carrying you by force but if I did not do that, you will experience more difficulties and pain when you celebrate your 18th birthday or Brian might kill you with his beatings and I wouldn't want that to happen to you.

You have endured that monster 's beating for too long and I want you to listen to me. Kate decided to listen to Ceaser's story hoping her troubles and doubts might be cleared.

There is someone whom we regard as the moon goddess, she is our ruler and we go to her for protection, she is also the one who brought up the idea of mates. Listen babe, you are a werewolf and when you are 18, your werewolf form will finally come out under the full moon. She created the ideas of Alpha, Luna , Beta and their mates, also the Gemma.Then we have the Chief Warrior , Pack Doctor and Pack chefs among others. A mate is bound to you  and you will always love each other.

You might not feel it now because your wolf is not out but once she fully comes out , you will be able to feel it and nothing can stop the bond and your love. Still, she was not fully convinced and still had her misgivings.

I am going to show you something and I hope by then you will be fully convinced.

Right before her very eyes, Ceaser turned into a big wolf, his fur was black and his eyes almost yellow like the sun.

He came to my front and laid down. I touched his fur and they felt so soft and squishy and she played with them and caressed it.

He took her for a run into the woods and by the time, they came back she actually realized that she really liked Ceaser and at the same time, she hated his guts.

With all these information being too much to possess , she got tired and was so sleepy and with that being said.

She fell asleep in Ceaser' arms.

Ceaser looked at the sleeping beauty in his arms with so much admiration, she was so young and yet, she had gone through a lot. She seemed malnourished. Brian had really treated this girl so badly seeing all her bruises and marks made him all angry and he really wanted to kill Brian, it may took everything in his willpower to find Brian and strangle him to death or maybe torture him for everything he had put Kate through. 

He don't know Brain yet but luckily Lucas has told him everything going on with her, and he knew soon his games would change because he won't let him treat him badly anymore, only if Kate would agree and follow him to see moon goddess, at least so many things she knew not would be revealed to her.

One thing he realized that he was in love with this precious gem and he would do everything in his power to protect her even if it is with his last breath.

Kate snored peacefully on his arms, seeing her sleep like a baby gave him more Joy. Ceaser had always hunted rogues all his lives, he shows them no mercy and once sighted one, he will hunt it to death but now one is sleeping so comfortably and not only that he has also fallen in love with her. 

No soothsayer needs to inform her that he has madly fallen in love with her and his wolf has supported it even before he found himself.

One thing that amazes him was how his wolf saw her and loose up, even to the extent of being angry with him. His wolf has supported him all this while but just because of mere rogue, Drew became angry with him and he can't just let his wolf down. He stare at her beautiful face once again, her alluring aura feels the air, her red haired and pointed nose makes Ceaser more crazy about her. 

He placed his palm on her face and adjusted her sleeping posture, just then a tear dropped gently from her eyes, streaming down her red chick...

Ceaser saw it and wiped it away, making sure it doesn't wake her up from sleep.  He felt more angry to find Brian and make him pay massively for all the maltreatment he has melted on his mate.
