The Aberrant She Wolf

Another day, another endless beating. When does this agony end? The pain is so unbearable and tormenting. The man whom I thought was my biological Father Brian. I have always looked up to him and he always showered me with love probably because he was in love with my Mom.

My Mom passed away when I was only 16, I had never been so miserable compared to this very dreaded and dark moment. I thought my Father was going to comfort me seeing as he was the only one I had left but how wrong was I?

"Katherine Jones get your stupid self down here" I do not harbor you in this house to act like a slug all day. Where is my food? Are you so useless and pathetic that you cannot do a single thing properly? It is all your fault that the woman I loved died because of your cursed self.

Having hurled those harsh and painful words. He struck me down with a slap and then the painful beatings. I was already used to it seeing as my body became numb. I was strong and as sad as this might sound I still care for Brian. He was not always this mean, bitter and wicked, I guess this is what losing your true love does to you and with all honesty I know he was madly in love with my Mom. I mean who would not be?

My Mother was the epitome of beauty, elegance, and class. Her aura was so peaceful and she was so pretty with her long brown hair and forest-green eyes, one would instantly fall in love with her. Her laughter was so contagious and her smile could be described as charming. There was not a single day that I did not miss her, her cookies, and the smiles and love she showered upon me. My Mom did not deserve that kind of death that she received, it was utterly brutal and showed pure evil.

 Enough of my sob stories, shoot! I was already ten minutes late for school.   I cannot risk the idea of having to stay back for detention. It meant more beatings and berating from Brian and I really did not want that. 

Well, I had my bath and got dressed in some bikers shorts and a sweatshirt to hide all the bruises. Brian had gone out and I know he won't be back until night or probably the next morning. I wonder where he goes off to every time.

Luckily when I got to school, I was right on time, and yay!! no detention and hopefully no bruises. Unfortunately, my neck revealed some marks caused by Brian the Teacher saw me, and I was taken to the Principal's office. I always thought our Principal was way too uptight and firm, maybe so rigid and she barely smiled. She seemed like some sort of Soldier.

Katherine! you have to tell me how you got those bruises. But I already said I fell down the stairs and I got myself injured. So, it might sound weird but I scraped my neck.

Well then, I will need you to leave the school for two weeks to treat yourself then you can resume back, said the Principal. But this is not necessary I feel much better and fine, I pleaded with teary eyes. This is not up for discussion, you may leave my office.

  I got outside school crying, I hated myself and my life. What did I do to deserve such harsh treatment? I am so tired and I did not ask for the death of my Mother.

 I just went straight to the bar where I worked as a waitress. Lucas the owner has always been extremely sweet and nice, but not creepy though.

Hey, bee! How are you? and how was school today asked Lucas with a smile? He was a sight for sore eyes if I am being honest but I have never had any romantic feelings toward him. I mean, with his jet-black hair and hazelnut eyes, I could say he was really pretty.

Lucas noticed my bruises and said; you really don't deserve all these beatings bee! I mean you are so tiny and way too pretty. Even if you are a rogue, it should not matter. It's fine, I am used to it and I know it will end one day.

But you said something, what is a rogue? You just referred to me as that. Umm!! I think it's best you ask Brian. Don't worry bee, it will be fine.

Lucas had a crush on Kate like forever, I mean who wouldn't? Her long wavy brown hair, her sharp green eyes, and those half-heart lips. She was so beautiful and did not even have to try so hard to impress anyone.  Unfortunately, Kate was not aware of her beauty and the power she possessed within her. Her mother kept a lot of things from her just to save her.

Lucas also knew that she was not his mate and that the feelings he had for her should be only temporary.

Kate! I don't know why you seem this down, everything will be fine. She knew the way things were done here was very different from the way normal things were done. The guys seemed twice the size of a normal person but they were extremely good looking while the girls screamed elegance.

Hey, bee! some very important and special guests are coming. Let me tell you a little secret, we are mostly wolves here. You should have heard about it. Lucas said. He doesn't know why he said it, but it had to be done. Kate was a very smart girl and she would understand...

Umm! Lucas, are you all real? so it's not just a myth, little or no wonder her mother was extremely protective of her.

So, the ruler of the werewolves is coming to the bar with some of his friends and how do I say this, he hates rogues. So, you might have to put on a disguise.

This is a lot to take in but whatever you say, Lucas. Trust me little Bee.

Her life had changed that single moment after hearing those few words and things were about to get more dramatic and spicy without her knowing.
