Chapter Forty Seven: Misunderstandings and Last Meetings...

Gwen was angry. And sad.

As she walked back to her house, she wiped away the tears that had managed to fall down her eyes. Well, at least she was now clear on who Tyron favored the most. She wouldn't need to embarrass herself by confessing to him.

But why did it hurt her so?

She couldn't bare to return to talk with him. Exactly what would she say? The main reason she had arranged for a meeting with him, was so that she could confess her feelings. Sandra had made it clear that she would never allow that to happen, not on her watch.

To think she had taken extra care of her appearance. In the end, it was all for naught.

She returned to her house, and her mother rushed to her once she saw the look on her daughter's face.

"What's wrong?" She asked, concerned.

Gwen walked straight into her mother's embrace and sobbed.

Her mother held her for a while, simply running her hand through her hair to comfort her. Later, they both walked to the couch and sat down.

"Tell me," her mother started softl
