Amari let out a low growl when she woke up the next morning. She could smell him, and Alpha Alexander's lingering scent in the air and her bed told Amari that he disobeyed her wishes and slept in her bed. She shoved her face into the pillow beside her and inhaled deeply.

"Bastard. I hate him. I especially hate that he smells so good," she whined as she buried her face back into the pillow. The only thing that made Amari stop was her growling stomach, alerting her it was time for breakfast.

Amari rolled out of bed and gingerly planted her feet onto the floor. "Oh my, Moon Goddess, I feel like an old lady," Amari whined as she slowly made it to the bathroom for a shower to loosen her muscles.

Thirty minutes later, Amari slowly but surely made her way to the dining room. Alpha Alexander sat at the head of the table with his face crammed into a newspaper.

"You know...there's this thing called a tablet you could use to read the news," Amari announced from the doorway.

    Beta James could feel the tension in the conference room, and he was fearful the two Alphas would come to blows over Amari. Beta James would love to have guards posted in the room, but due to the delicate nature of the messy mate situation, he thought it would be best for privacy until everything was sorted out.
