Henry Anderson, the Alpha of the Maple Pack, angrily slapped Olivia. "You're bringing shame upon me."

Olivia clutched her swollen cheek and couldn't utter a word. Just this morning, she and Clara had been released from the cell. But her father's first words upon seeing her weren't words of concern; instead, they were filled with blame and humiliation.

"It's because of you that your mother couldn't give birth to a son and died early. And now you're ruining your own reputation, preventing yourself from marrying into a powerful pack."
