“Let the game begin.”

Victor Kane leans back slowly, the words leaving his mouth like a promise.

The man standing in front of him hesitates before speaking again. His voice carries the nervous edge of someone who knows bad news often leads to punishment.

“We confirmed the information, Alpha Kane,” the man says carefully. “She is inside the Southwell estate.”

Victor’s eyes narrow slightly.

For a moment, he says nothing.

Then he laughs.

Slowly.

Deeply.

The sound is not warm. It is not amusing.

It is dangerous.

“The little Alpha walked into the wolves’ den,” Victor murmurs.

The messenger swallows nervously.

“Yes, Alpha.”

Victor taps his fingers slowly against the table.

“So she thought she could hide,” he says softly. “Hide in the house of our enemies.”

His smile grows sharper.

“That girl always did enjoy dangerous choices.”

The man looks confused.

“You know her personally, Alpha?”

Victor’s eyes flash with something dark.

“Oh yes,” he replies quietly.

“Very personally.”

For a brief moment, his expression hardens.

Memory.

Rage.

Something old and bitter.

“She escaped once,” he continues. “But no one escapes forever.”

The messenger nods quickly.

“Do you want us to retrieve her immediately?”

Victor shakes his head.

“No.”

The man blinks in surprise.

“No?”

Victor stands slowly.

“If we attack the Southwells directly, it will start a war.”

His lips curl slightly.

“And I am not ready for that yet.”

The messenger waits silently.

Victor begins pacing slowly.

“But the situation is… interesting.”

He pauses.

“She chose to hide among powerful wolves.”

He chuckles softly.

“That means she is desperate.”

His gaze grows cold.

“And desperate wolves make mistakes.”

The messenger asks carefully, “What do you plan to do?”

Victor smiles.

“We watch.”

The man frowns.

“Just watch?”

“For now.”

Victor walks closer and places a hand on the man’s shoulder.

“Patience wins wars.”

His voice lowers.

“And when the moment is perfect… we strike.”

The messenger nods.

Victor’s eyes gleam with dark amusement.

“Prepare a team,” he says quietly.

“But they will not attack the estate.”

The man looks confused again.

“Then where?”

Victor’s smile grows wider.

“We will attack her heart.”

Across the territory, inside the Southwell estate, another man studies a screen with equal focus.

Lucien Southwell.

His expression is calm.

Too calm.

On the screen, several documents sit open. Files. Records. Identity data.

All connected to one person.

Hayley Viremont.

Lucien leans closer.

“Perfect fabrication,” he murmurs.

His fingers move across the keyboard again.

He opens another file.

Then another.

Each one leads nowhere.

Dead ends.

Empty records.

“Someone erased you very well,” he whispers.

He leans back slightly.

Most people would stop here.

But Lucien does not.

He enjoys puzzles.

And Hayley is becoming the most fascinating puzzle he has ever encountered.

He opens a hidden archive.

A restricted database few people know exists.

Old pack records.

War reports.

Missing Alpha files.

Lucien scrolls slowly.

Then he stops.

His eyes narrow.

“Interesting,” he murmurs.

A file appears on the screen.

The information is old.

But the details are impossible to ignore.

Name: Hayley Arden

Status: Alpha Bloodline

Pack: Arden Royal Pack

Lucien’s heartbeat slows.

His eyes scan the page carefully.

“The Arden pack…” he whispers.

That name carries weight.

Power.

History.

The Arden bloodline once ruled one of the strongest Alpha packs in the region.

Until the massacre.

Lucien remembers the stories.

The Arden family was destroyed during a violent power struggle years ago.

Their Alpha king was killed.

Their heirs were wiped out.

Their territory was stolen.

Everyone believed the bloodline ended that night.

But Lucien keeps reading.

Then he sees the final report.

“Survivor unknown.”

Lucien exhales slowly.

His mind begins connecting the pieces.

The hidden identity.

The Alpha aura.

The combat skills.

The strange reaction from Ethan’s wolf.

He whispers softly.

“No Omega records exist…”

Because she was never an Omega.

Lucien scrolls further.

Another report appears.

A name stands out.

Victor Kane.

Lucien’s expression changes slightly.

“So he was involved,” he mutters.

Victor Kane.

One of the most ambitious Alphas in the region.

A man who rose to power after the Arden pack disappeared.

Lucien studies the timeline carefully.

The pieces fall together like a puzzle finally revealing its picture.

Hayley Arden.

The last surviving Alpha heir.

Hidden for years.

Now living inside the Southwell estate.

Lucien leans back slowly.

His mind spins with possibilities.

If the Southwells possess the last Arden heir…

That could shift the balance of power across every pack in the region.

Lucien smiles.

But the smile fades quickly.

Then it returns.

Colder.

Sharper.

More dangerous.

He whispers softly.

“Well…”

“That explains everything.”

At that moment, Sebastian walks into the room casually.

“You’re still digging into the servant girl?”

Lucien glances at him.

“You’re curious too.”

Sebastian shrugs.

“She’s entertaining.”

He leans against the wall.

“Find anything interesting?”

Lucien pauses.

For a moment, he considers lying.

But Sebastian is not stupid.

So he answers carefully.

“More interesting than I expected.”

Sebastian raises an eyebrow.

“Oh?”

Lucien closes the screen slowly.

“You were right about one thing.”

“What?”

“She’s not an Omega.”

Sebastian grins.

“I knew it.”

Then he frowns slightly.

“So what is she?”

Lucien studies his brother for a moment.

Then he says quietly,

“She’s something rare.”

Sebastian folds his arms.

“Now you’re just teasing me.”

Lucien sighs softly.

“No.”

Then he speaks again.

His voice becomes very calm.

Very deliberate.

“Do you remember the Arden massacre?”

Sebastian’s smile disappears.

“That old story?”

“Yes.”

“The Alpha family that was wiped out.”

Lucien nods slowly.

“Almost wiped out.”

Sebastian stares at him.

Then realization hits.

His eyes widened slightly.

“No.”

Lucien’s expression remains steady.

“Yes.”

Silence fills the room.

Sebastian runs a hand through his hair.

“You’re serious.”

“Very.”

Sebastian begins pacing slowly.

“So the servant girl…”

Lucien nods once.

“…is the last Arden heir.”

Sebastian lets out a low whistle.

“Well.”

“That changes things.”

Lucien watches him carefully.

“Indeed.”

Sebastian stops pacing.

His grin slowly returns.

“Do the others know?”

Lucien shakes his head.

“Not yet.”

Sebastian laughs softly.

“Alexander will lose his mind.”

Lucien’s smile becomes colder.

“Yes.”

“He will.”

Sebastian studies Lucien carefully.

“You look… excited.”

Lucien doesn’t deny it.

“This discovery could reshape the entire power structure of the region.”

Sebastian nods slowly.

“And the little servant in our house is the key.”

Lucien turns back to the screen.

He opens the Arden file again.

Hayley’s hidden history stares back at him.

The lost princess.

The fallen Alpha heir.

Now disguised as a servant.

Living among wolves who could destroy her.

Lucien whispers quietly.

“So that’s your game.”

Later that night, Lucien stands alone, staring at the file once more.

His voice is barely a whisper.

Soft.

Cold.

Certain.

“The Omega servant…”

His eyes gleam with dark fascination.

“…is a queen.”

He closes the file slowly.

But one question lingers in his mind.

If Hayley Arden is alive…

Then Victor Kane will come for her.

And when he does…

Will the Southwells protect her

Or use her?

“You want my loyalty? Earn it.”She did not wait for him to speak.“You want my loyalty?” she repeated, her voice calm but sharp. “Earn it.”Lucien’s lips curved slowly, like he had been expecting this.“I was wondering how long it would take before you came to me.”Hayley folded her arms, her gaze steady. “Don’t flatter yourself. I didn’t come because I trust you.”“I know,” he said softly. “You came because you have no better option.”Her eyes darkened slightly.“I always have options.”“Not anymore.”The words landed between them, quiet but heavy.Hayley studied him. Really studied him.Lucien was dangerous. Not in the loud way. Not in the obvious way.He was calm. Patient. Calculating.Men like him did not attack first. They waited. They planned. They won.“You’re playing a risky game,” she said.He chuckled under his breath. “So are you.”“I don’t play games.”“Everyone plays games,” he replied. “Some just pretend they don’t.”She stepped closer. Not slowly. Not carefully.Delibe

“She’s not what she pretends to be.”He said it quietly, but the words felt loud in his chest.“She’s not what she pretends to be.”Lucien’s voice had not left his head since the moment it was spoken. It lingered. It pressed. It refused to fade. And now she stood in front of him.Still. Calm. Watching him like she already knew why he had come.Alexander stepped closer. Not slow. Not rushed. Controlled.“I don’t like lies,” he said, his voice low but firm. Her lips curved slightly, but there was no warmth in it. “Then you must hate this house.”He stopped just a step away from her.“That answer won’t save you.”Her eyes did not flinch. Not even a little.“I’m not trying to save myself,” she replied softly. “I’m trying to understand why you look like that.”“Like what?”“Like you’ve already decided I’m guilty.”His jaw tightened.“I don’t need to decide,” he said. “I can feel it.”That was the truth. And it unsettled him. There was something about her. Something wrong. Something hidden.

“She’s lying.”The thought enters my mind the moment I see her again.Hayley Viremont walks across the corridor with the quiet steps of a servant, head slightly lowered, eyes calm and unreadable.Too calm.I lean against the wall and watch her.She does not notice me immediately. Or perhaps she pretends not to notice. I am not sure which one is more dangerous. For days, something about her has disturbed my wolf.Yesterday I confirmed it.That power. That moment when the air itself bowed. My wolf shifts restlessly. She is not what she claims.I step forward.“Stop.”She pauses instantly.Slowly, she turns. Her face carries the same gentle expression she always wears around the servants. Respectful. Quiet. Obedient. But now I look deeper.Behind the calm.Behind the silence.Something stronger waits there.“You called me, Alpha?” she asks politely. Her voice is steady.Too steady.“Yes.”I walk closer. My eyes never leave her face.“You recovered quickly from yesterday’s fight.”She low

His expression carries that same quiet curiosity he always wears, but tonight something else hides beneath it.Certainty.Danger.I keep my voice steady.“Do you?” I ask.Lucien walks forward slowly. His movements are relaxed, but every step feels deliberate, controlled.“Yes,” he replies softly. He lifts a folder in his hand.“For example, I know your name isn’t Hayley Viremont.”My wolf stiffens.I feel the trap closing. But my face remains calm.“That is my name,” I answered quietly.Lucien tilts his head.“No.”He opens the folder.“Your name,” he continues, “is Hayley Arden.”The sound of that name hits me like a blade. For a momentJust one momentMy heart forgets how to beat.Lucien notices.Of course he does. His smile grows slightly.“I thought so,” he murmurs.I step closer.Slow.
