Williams POV

"I still find it surprising that a young female wolf would take on the younger brother of Alpha Thomas and kill him." My Beta exclaimed as we watched the news of the death of Lewis.

When the news came up, I was surprised because it is a well known fact that Alphas as their family all have strong blood, even stronger than the average wolf in the pack.

"And from the rumours that have gone around, they say she is a weak wolf." My Beta added further as the news broadcast is rounded up.

"Killing an Alphas brother is a treacherous crime that should be known amongst male wolves and not females. I believe they must have done something to her."

The door opens and my Gamma stepped into the room with a sense of urgency.

"My King, we have a problem on our hands."

"Speak." I commanded.

"The Rogue King and his cohort are pushing for the Western boaders of the kingdom and a lot of the members in BloodMoon Pack are begging for your intervention."

"Rally up the soldiers and send them off the lands." I ordered.

"It is not that easy your highness." I turned to my Beta Justin, so he could explain further. "The Rogues have stationed their base in these areas. If we are to send the pack soldiers from our pack to help the Blood Moon, it would be fatal loss because they are much bigger than our army."

I paced around the room silently, pondering over the words of Justin for a moment.

"Then we need to create a treaty with other Alphas. Prepare my convoy, we are going to Black Mist Pack." I announced.

"Alpha Thomas Pack? He is mourning the death of his brother, I don't think it would be a perfect time to create treaty your highness." Justin stated.

"I am the Alpha King and I rule across all the packs in this kingdom. If I decide to step my foot into a pack, I don't think anyone should be able to question my reason. Do what I have asked of you immediately." I ordered and both Justin and my Gamma Derrick stepped out of the chambers.

I walked towards the shelves were piles of history books were neatly arranged.

As the Alpha King it is my duty to make sure that there is peace in the land and I am going to ensure such peace becomes the order of the day.

I flipped the pages of the book I have been reading; it is about the ancient history of the kingdom and how the rogues came about, when my eyes landed on a picture.

Water and Fire mixed together to create a perfection; the ideal symphony that the moon goddess wants and have created.

'Do you think we will ever find our mate?' Bailor my wolf asked.

He had been bugging me with this question for the past days and I was slowly getting exhausted from his disturbance.

'I already told you, when the moon goddess says the time is right we would meet our mate.' The door opens and Justin enters.

"The convoy is ready your highness." He announced.

I closed the placed my pen on the page which talks the symphony of the moon goddess, placing a mental note to make sure and revisit that prophecy  when I come back from my trip.

*

1 Hour later....

"It is a pleasure to have you in our Pack my King." Thomas stated, holding up a glass of wine. "I hope your visit here would create profitable alliance for my pack."

"I wish for the same too." We clinged our glass together and I had a quick sip from the wine. "Now if you will excuse me, I would love to use the restroom."

"I will direct you my King." Thomas' Luna suggested, but I stopped her before she would get up to her feet.

"That won't be necessary, one of the soldier can show me the way." I gave her a knowing smile before moving out of the dinning table, trailing behind one of the soldiers.

We were almost close to the restroom, when my eyes picked up on the sound of lashes and a gentle cry. I stopped in my track and follow the direction of the sound, till it lead me to a room.

"What is going on here?" I asked, the moment I pulled the door opened. "Release her at once!"

"And who are you to tell me what to do?" I was taken aback by the audacious words of the soldier.

"My King, I thought you wanted to use the restroom." The soldier, who had been appointed to take me to the restroom asked, the moment he stepped into the room.

"What is the meaning of this? And who appointed this bastard as a soldier?" I was visibly angry, because the young lady on the floor looked like she was going to die any moment.

"She killed the Alpha's brother." I looked towards the lady's direction after the soldier informed me. I did not understand why I was taking a keen interest in her, but I did.

Alpha Thomas and his wife also came into the room at that moment.

"We heard the King's voice and thought it was ideal to come find out what is wrong." Thomas explained.

"I want you to hand over this girl to me. She will be under my custody." I instructed Thomas.

"But my king, she killed my brother and all I desire is to make sure that she pays for her crime."

"You have every right to be angry over the death of your brother. I want you to understand however that I have given my order and you must learn to obey them...." I walk closer to him. "Except you think it is appropriate to challenge the Alpha."

I stared into Thomas eyes and I noticed he was angry, but could not do anything. I understand that he wanted to teach her a lesson, but there was something about this lady that I could not resist.

"Fine, she will be handed over to you my King." Thomas succumbed.

Alpha Williams' POVI was good as new when I sat down for rest but movement was form of torture worse than fierce battle. My head shot back, holding in tears, screams and moans as a maid dug her fingers in-between my veins and bones, massaging the clogged muscles.“Alpha, does it hurt?” She questioned when my legs shook involuntarily.I suppressed the daggers in my eyes, “Just… a little.”“Apologies. It has to be done.” She coiled her fingers into the balm next to her. “I'm… almost done.”Her hands returned to my legs, ice cold and squishy as she smeared the balm over me. I pressed my eyes tight, my lips tied together as my head shot back over the chair. The pain coming stung inside my brain.“Just a couple more.”“Here and there.”“Alright, we're done.” Her tiny fingers slid off me, wiping gently across the rag beside her. “You'll feel swollen for a bit then after a while, you'll be better.”“Thank you.” I sat straight, “I appreciate this.”“You're welcome. It's so good to have you

Maya's POV“We’ve been circling that tree for the last one hour. Where the heck are we?”The forest didn't feel so empty with Melissa back. I shifted a couple of times just to be sure. She was.But with her renewed energy came more focus on me— on the path we took.“I've tried walking in this direction.” I pointed to the dense part of the forest, the darkness thicker than a fog. “This is harder than I thought it would be.”“We should try running on trees.”“Good idea.”Melissa took over quickly, in one moment, I was fully wolf, she sprang up onto the tree next to us, latching with her claws that buried deep into the trunk.“See anything?”“Nothing yet.”“Try harder.”Melissa sniffed the air for any sign of life, nothing. She skipped a few trees in the direction of the darkness, the deeper we got, the more confusion flickered inside us. With a low growl, Melissa gave up. She shifted back to me, lowering to the floor.“I give up.”“That was fast.” “Yeah. I can't take it anymore. You do

Alpha Williams’ POVThe first thing I felt when I woke was the weight of the world pressing against my chest… not pain, not confusion… just awareness.Air filled my lungs like it hadn’t in years. My breath was fresh enough to ice.My fingers twitched before I even knew I could move them. The room was bright but then my eyesight returned fully and it dimmed. My nose twitched next, the smell of herbs roamed in the air. My wolf whispered my name.“Balor.” I gasped in disbelief, this time the words echoed sound. “You're back!”“Thank goodness.” His cocky attitude was back too. “What's that?”Herbs. The smell of herbs pressed a chokehold on me. My insides tickled, I sneezed gently. “It's herbs. The ones that didn't kill me while I was asleep, they want to kill me now.”I sat up slowly, testing every joint, every nerve. My legs felt heavy but they worked ... by the goddess, they worked. Before I could process it, the door burst open.“Alpha!” Justin’s voice thundered, echoing through the wa

Sarah's POV“Why did you need her to stop over?”Logan’s rumbling over the phone sounded static to me. Nothing he said made sense, bile rose in my throat. I closed my eyes, fighting to suppress the anger building in me.“So you're telling me they are on their way now?” “They should be. I didn't take that long with her.” Logan finally cleared. “Expect the delivery in fifteen.”His assurance came fifteen minutes ago, seated beside Thomas with my eyes fixed on the door, I couldn't help but feel uneasy.“What's wrong?” Thomas reached for my hand. His weight pressed down on my palm, enough for me to stop tapping the armrest so anxiously.“She's not here yet. Something feels wrong.”“You might just be overthinking this thing. Calm down a little.”His words were reassuring when it concerned my health but with with Maya— they held no meaning.“Go out and find her.”“There's no way you want me to go out and find her just because—“I'm serious, go out and find her.” I cut in. Thomas saw the lo

Maya's POV.“Make it quick.” The second werewolf told me. “I don't have a minute more to spend here.”I nodded, squeaking over to the blind spot behind the dark tree, crotched over and bent like I was about to pass out urine.“Do it now.”I poked out of the tree. The air was cold, the guards head turned the other way, his eyes fixed on the driver scrolling his phone, their lips moved in a conversation.I swallowed, the bushes behind me looked thick enough to hide me, their leaves rustling, hiding the sounds of my footsteps.“I can do it.” I whispered to myself. Then move!I pushed my clothes back in place, slipped out of my shoes as I picked them up. As slow as a snail, I took my first step.My heartbeat was through the roof. My breath hollowing. My eyes went over my shoulder twice before I took another step. By my fourth breath, I made it in hiding. The bushes were thick enough but too obvious— I needed a plan.My eyes shot at the stream down the way. It flooded into a river down a c

  • The Alpha King Is My Second Chance Mate    Chapter 121

Alpha Williams' POVI heard it all.The kidnap, how it was all going down, everything. My body stayed still, unmoved even while a war erupted inside me as I fought to move my body.I screamed in my head, “Don't take her! Bring her back! You better leave her alone or I'll kill you!”“Hey! Let her be!” I yelled. “Hey!”“Don't you dare.” I heard Maya fight, I heard scuffling, I heard her gasp, I heard her fighting to be free from them but a whiff in the wind and Maya had stopped fighting. They spoke to her, warning her to stay put or she would regret it.She resisted once more and I never heard from her again. Only the sound of footsteps fading quietly into the hallway as those bastards carted away with my mate.A tear fell from the side of my eye, my pinkie moved as I struggled to get my body to work.“Move it, dammit! Fucking move!”“Move!”No reaction. I twitched once but that was it.I slumbered back into the state I was. Like a vegetable without a brain. I was too weak to drag in an
