CHAPTER 3

This wasn't how Bianca had expected to find the situation like! The instant the door shut down, Bianca couldn't help but let out a frustrated groan. The door swung open again making Bianca hitch her breath, she thought it was her boss but an old woman with white hair walked inside holding her Luggage with Anna gripping her hand tightly.

The woman kept panting to catch her breath, Bianca didn't blame her because the stairs in the house were the main cause of her tiredness. She took a few moments before raising her hand to indicate that she needed water, Bianca was confused as to where the tap was or where the cup was as she kept surveying everywhere agitatedly.

After a lot of twists and turns, she finally brought the old lady a cup of water. The old lady grabbed the cup of water before gulping it down her throat. She smiled at Bianca the moment she was alright.

“Oh, dear!” The old lady mumbled as Bianca held the old lady by the hand to help her sit on a chair.

“Thank you!” Ms. Kevin let out as she placed her hand on her wrinkled cheeks before giving it a gentle caress.

“I’m sorry, I just got back from my hometown, and climbing those stairs was a lot of work dear, ” she said as Felix trudged into the kitchen again. “Welcome back Nanny, ” Felix said, hugging the old lady.

“I have to get to the office, this is the new maid who is going to help around! Please can you show her around when you are well rested?” he asked, kissing his daughter on the forehead as she limped a little before leaving a warm kiss on his cheeks.

“Of course, Felix!” she let out, touching her white hair before ruffling it a little.

“Thank you, I would see you at night,” he said to Ms. Kevin! He glanced in Bianca's direction before walking out of the door. As Felix Finn's footstep slinked. Bianca's stomach was filled with fear and reality, she knew things wouldn't be easy here but she needed the pay.

A week ago she never would have imagined that she would be right here standing in this mansion staring at Anna who hardly or barely talks. Then again things had been different and she was happy in the little room that was given to her by the Ms. Kevin.

After she had dropped her things and probably surveyed her room. Bianca headed back to the kitchen to clean the mess.

Two pairs of eyes were watching her intently with flour all over her hair and face the minutes she stepped close to the kitchen. Bianca moved toward the little girl before cleaning the flour stain on her face. “Why did you throw flour all over your face sweetheart?” Bianca asked the little girl who stood mute without asserting anything.

Bianca didn't want to be hard on the little girl since she was probably going through something huge. Dragging her eyes away from Anna, Bianca's eyes landed on the older woman who was setting up breakfast  for Anna, her face was pale and tiredness was written all over her face.

Trying not to sound rude she moved towards her, she had been arranging her stuff in her room, she hadn't gotten the chance to introduce herself to Ms. Kevin properly. She didn't know anything about Ms. Kevin and neither did Ms. Kevin knows nothing about her.

“Hi, I'm Bianca Ferguson,” she said, making Ms. Kevin flashes her a smile. Bianca noticed the weariness of Ms. Kevin as she held the wall for support.

“I’m Mia!” she retorted as she held her head. “It's nice to meet you, you don't seem that well,” Bianca let out.

“I’m not as young as I used to be, just catching my breath for a few minutes would do love!” she said, making Bianca nod as she noticed the old lady Fanning her face with her hand.

Bianca trudged to the kitchen to get the mess cleared out but was surprised that the old lady had cleaned the mess already and the kitchen was a sparkle. The kitchen was the type Bianca had always dreamed of but she didn't know she would one day see it in person, it was a very beautiful kitchen with expensive interior design.

“WHO ARE YOU?” A voice asked, making Teresa turn. She noticed a girl who was dressed in a high school uniform, the girl was beautiful and she had a striking resemblance to her father.

“Fiona, she is the new maid who is to help around.” Ms. Kevin let out. “Hello Ms Fiona?” Bianca mumbled politely as she waved her hand but instead Fiona took her phone from the pocket of her blazer without saying anything.

“Mr. Felix didn't say anything about him having an elder daughter or did the woman who had given her the job,” Bianca mumbled, she paused as she tried to process her words.

“Yes, Hector wouldn't have mentioned it to you because he is most worried about Anna's condition, she was there when her mother had died. Fiona is also affected by her mother‘s death but Hector needs someone who can be there for Anna always since I'm getting weak and can't be that useful,” Mia explained, making Teresa move to the sink to wash the dirty items Mia had used to cook.

“Unfortunately I'm too old to keep up with the two girls and their father, the last maid left because she couldn't put up with them,” Mia finally let out.

Bianca was intrigued by this little piece of information that Mia had told her. She knew it was none of her business but yet she couldn't stop her mouth from asking questions. “What happened to his wife?”

She asked but Mia shook her head as she arranged some drinks in the fridge. “That better left unsaid. I would give you a little advice, Mr. Finn loves his privacy and family above anything else, the last housekeeper didn't work well because she was such a blubber mouth which Sir Felix hated. I would advise you to be on his good side,” Mia spilled out, making Bianca swallow the Lump that had foamed in her throat.

“Let's forget about this, why don't you follow me so I can show you around. We have to sort things out before Felix gets back from the office. Mind you, he loves to see everywhere sparkling clean and set in order.” Mia said, making Bianca nod in affirmation.

“See you when I’m back Nanny,” Fiona said, pecking Mia's forehead before walking away.
