LOGINChapter 4
Lisa's POV
I picked up my pace, with my heart racing.
He would believe me. He had to. He was my mate.
He would fix this. Wouldn’t he?
I tried to convince myself and give myself some sort of hope.
I reached the packhouse, my breaths became ragged, and my body was trembling from the exhaustion. My feet ached, and my lips were dry.
I forced myself forward.
The guards at the entrance frowned at me.
"What do you want?" one of them asked.
I was surprised as to why they were talking to me like that, like they didn't know who I was.
"I.. I need to see the Alpha," I gasped.
They exchanged a look.
One of them smirked.
"She still has the nerve to show up."
My stomach twisted..
"Let me in," I whispered. "Please ."
"You really don’t know, do you?" The taller guard laughed.
Dread curled in my gut .
"Know what?"
A deep voice answered from behind them.
"That you are no longer my mate."
My body turned to ice.
I looked up.
And there he was.
My mate. My Alpha. My only hope.
His eyes were cold and distant.
It was full of disgust.
"A.. Alpha.." I whispered.
"Did you think I wouldn’t hear?" His voice was as sharp as a blade. "Did you think I wouldn’t know how you threw yourself at another man?"
"No," I gasped. "It wasn’t like that! I was.. "
"This was something I literally asked for from you but you willingly gave to another man who was not even your mate. But just a random man."
"No, no, please!" I fell to my knees, desperation clawing at my chest. "I swear to you, I didn’t do anything! You have to believe me!"
His golden eyes burned with so much fury as he took a very slow, and menacing step toward me.
"You lay in another man's bed.. and now you come here, while begging like a very pathetic wretch?" His voice dripped with so much disgust. "Why would I listen to a lying, cheating disgrace?"
Tears streamed down my face. "I didn't cheat! I don't even know how that happened! Please, give me chance, just let me explain!"
He hesitated fo a bit, His jaw clenched so tightly I thought it would shatter.
Then he gave a sharp nod. "You have two minutes."
I sobbed in relief, with my hands trembling as I clutched my chest. "Thank you, Alpha, thank you!"
"Make it quick." He said.
I took a very deep breath, and was ready to explain everything, ready to tell him about the betrayal, about my stepsister..
And then I saw her.
My stepsister .
Olivia.
She was walking toward us .
She moved with very slow, and deliberate steps, with her hips swaying, and her lips curled into a very seductive smile.
The Alpha’s gaze shifted immediately .
His fury did not waver even for a bit , but the moment he saw her , his eyes darkened with something else.
Something that made my stomach twist so painfully.
"Olivia!" I gasped in surprise, there was so relief flooding in my chest, my sister was here she would probably speak on my behalf.
"Tell him! Tell him the truth! Tell him that I didn’t do it!"
She stopped beside him, while tilting her head like she was considering my words.
But then she did nothing.
She didn’t even defend me.
She didn’t speak up.
All she did was just Smile, like her smile would help save my situation.
"You know what’s funny, Lisa?" she mused, her voice was soft but sharp. "I don’t think the Alpha wants to hear your excuses anymore."
I blinked, my breath hitching a bit.
"What..?"
"What I want," the Alpha growled, as he stepped closer, "is an answer. Why would you betray me? When I wanted you, when I waited for you, you spread your legs for someone else?"
"No!" I shook my head violently. "I swear to you, I didn’t! I was drugged! I don’t even know what happened!"
"Lies." He said
"I’m not lying!" I defended.
My stepsister sighed dramatically. "Oh, Alpha, why must you waste your time?" She stepped even closer to him, while running her fingers lightly over his arm.
"If she won’t give you what you deserve.. someone else will."
I stopped breathing.
"O.. Olivia..?" My voice came out so weak. "W.. what are you saying?"
She turned to me, with her eyes glinting with something cruel.
"I think you have had your chance, Lisa." She leaned toward the Alpha, while pressing her body closer to his. "And you wasted it."
A slow, and sinister smirk spread across his lips.
"Is that so?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Then I suppose I no longer need a mate like her." His voice dropped lower, and even colder. "I cannot have someone like you as my Luna, Lisa."
My body locked up immediately.
"W.. what..?" His words hurt like a spear driven into my heart.
"Your sister," he said, with his voice so calm but deadly, "is willing to give herself to me. Unlike you."
A deep, gut wrenching pain twisted inside me.
"No.." I whispered.
He turned away. "Guards, take her away.."
"NO!" My scream tore through the air. "Don’t do this! Please! I am your mate!"
"You were," he corrected, "but now I have someone better." He walked out.
Then I heard a very cruel laughter.
It was Olivia.
I turned to my stepsister, with my hands trembling.
"Why?" My voice was barely above a whisper . "Why would you do this to me?"
She smirked, while tilting her head. "Because, dear sister.. " She stepped closer, while lowering her voice to a whisper. "I planned all of it."
My blood ran very cold.
"You." I said.
"Who do you think sent the rogues?" she mused . "Who do you think drugged you? Who do you think made sure the pictures spread through the pack ?"
"You.. you ruined me.. " My hands clenched into fists. I just wanted to finish her in that moment.
"And I’d do it again," she said sweetly. "Because now, he’s mine." She said with an annoying smirk on her face.
Something inside me snapped.
Before I could think, before I could stop myself..
SLAP!
Her head snapped to the side, and her cheek was burning red.
I was breathing hard, and my chest was rising and falling, with my hands shaking.
She slowly turned back to me, her eyes were dark with fury.
"You little.. " she said.
Her hand swung..
And then we collided .
There was scratching, slapping, pulling, fighting.
All my years of pain, of betrayal, of humiliation burst out in that very moment.
She yanked my hair.
I clawed at her face.
She shoved me.
I slammed her against the ground.
And then suddenly..
She collapsed.
She was motionless.
I froze immediately, I was surprised at her sudden action.
The doors burst open.
"What the hell is going on?" Alpha Cedric said.
The Alpha’s voice boomed through the room.
I turned, my breath caught in my throat.
He saw her first.
Saw my stepsister lying on the floor, her body curled up, trembling in pain.
He rushed to her side, while lifting her gently. "What happened.?"
She whimpered..
"S.. she attacked me ," she whispered, with fake tears rolling down her cheeks. "I.. I tried to stop her, but she was so angry.."
"You liar!" I screamed. "You planned this! You did all of this.!"
He didn’t even take a glance at me.
Instead..
SLAP!
My face burned from the impact.
He slapped me.
I gagged at his slap
"Enough." His voice was deadly calm. "I will not have a mate who is nothing but a disgrace to me, to my family and to the pack as a whole."
His next words destroyed me.
"I, Alpha Cedric, reject you, Lisa, as my mate."
Chapter 87 3rd POV The wendigos crept forward as liquid shadow ‚ their eyes glowing brighter with each step they took into the moonlight. Their skeletal bodies twisted unnaturally ‚ long limbs tipped with claws that looked capable of slicing through steel. The air grew colder than the dead of winter‚ frost crawling across the forest floor as their presence pressed in closer..Sharon’s breath misted into the frigid air‚ her fingers trembling not with fear‚ but with a strange and hungry power surging through her veins. It felt as though the forest itself had awakened inside her‚ feeding that wild current.“They’re testing us‚” Zara whispered‚ her tone deadly quiet as she stepped forward. “Don’t let them see your fear. That’s how they feed. The more they sense it‚ the stronger they grow—and trust me‚ you don’t want them any stronger than they already are.”Jake growled low‚ claws flashing silver in the moonlight. “Let them come. They’ll regret setting foot in my lands.”The first wend
Chapter 863rd POVThe forest was wrapped in an uneasy stillness‚ the air still thick with the tension of battle. Sharon clung to Jake‚ her heart pounding as Mirabel’s cruel insults and Killian’s chilling promises replayed in her mind. Yet in Jake’s strong grasp‚ she found a fleeting moment of safety a reminder of why they fought at all."Are you all right?" Jake murmured‚ his voice low and softened‚ golden eyes scanning hers for the truth.Sharon nodded‚ but the tremor in her voice betrayed her. "I’m fine. But… they’ll be back‚ won’t they?"Jake’s hands framed her face‚ his thumb brushing lightly over her cheek. "Then let them come. I’ll stand between you and them‚ no matter what." But for now‚ they had to regroup. "The baby and you come first."She didn’t get to respond. A sudden rustle came from the edge of the trees. Jake’s head snapped toward the sound‚ his body coiled for battle but it wasn’t Killian or Mirabel.A figure in black stepped from the shadows ‚ its presence unsettlin
Chapter 853rd POVJake turned around‚ his eyes blazing gold‚ claws half-extended. The voice that had shattered their fragile moment seemed to crawl straight out of the shadows‚ making the air feel heavy and wrong.Killian stepped out from the treeline‚ flanked by two more rogues and Mirabel. Her lips twisted into a smug‚ poisonous smile‚ her hand resting possessively on Killian’s arm as though she had already claimed victory before the battle had even begun.“Did you really think it would be that easy‚ brother?” Killian’s voice was cold‚ mocking. His gaze slid to Sharon‚ and the cruel smirk curling his mouth made Jake’s blood boil. “You might have won this little fight‚ but you’re nowhere close to winning the real one.”Jake growled‚ stepping in front of Sharon‚ his body forming a shield between her and the vipers before him. “You’ve gone too far‚ Killian‚” he snarled. “This isn’t about the Alpha title anymore‚ is it? You’ve sunk low enough to target my mate and my child?”Mirabel’s
Chapter 8 Lisa’s POV I froze, my hand halfway to the door handle. That voice.. it was light, lilting , and yet strangely commanding.. I’d never heard it before , but something about it felt.. familiar. My mind instantly went to the worst possible scenario. A rival. He’s already seeing someone else. Of course he is. I pressed my ear against the door , trying to catch the words. “.. he’s not here?” the voice asked softly, almost like a melody. My stomach knotted. The way she spoke — casual , confident told me she was no stranger to this house. I didn’t know when my fingers turned the handle, but suddenly the door was open , and I was staring into a pair of bright, honey-brown eyes. The girl blinked , startled , then her gaze swept over me from head to toe. She was stunning tall , with waves of dark hair spilling over her shoulders , dressed in a cream coat that looked far too expensive to touch.. “Oh ,” she said slowly, as if processing the sight of me. “You’re.. not who I e
Chapter 7Lisa’s POV“I asked you a question ,” I whispered , my voice barely there. “Why are you being so kind?”Leo didn’t speak at first..The silence wrapped around us..Then he breathed , “Because someone should’ve been.”I stared up at him. “That’s not a real answer..”“It’s the only one I have..”My throat burned. My body ached. I didn’t even know if I was crying anymore..“You’re carrying something precious ,” he said, his eyes flicking to my stomach. “And you were alone. That’s enough reason for me..”“You don’t even know me ,” I muttered.“I know enough.”“No, you don’t ,” I hissed. “You don’t know what I’ve done. Who I’ve been accused of being. You don’t know the shame I’ve lived in!”He didn’t flinch. “Then tell me.”I blinked..“What?”“Tell me who you are..”I wanted to scream. To punch him. To disappear again. Instead..“I’m nothing ,” I spat. “That’s who I am. I’m the discarded daughter. The rejected mate. The cursed omega. That’s what they all see when they look at me
Chapter 6Lisa’s POV"Here," he said , as he opened the door to the small inn.I blinked , swaying slightly. "Where are we?""Somewhere safe ," he muttered , helping me inside. The room was dimly lit but warm.. It smelled of clean sheets and faint lavender."Sit ," he commanded softly.I dropped onto the edge of the bed , my legs weak and trembling."You need to sleep.." He said "I don’t sleep well," I whispered."Well tonight, you will."He grabbed a blanket , gently covering me. His movements were very strange too careful for a stranger."Why are you doing this?" I asked , looking up at him.He paused. "You looked like you needed someone."I scoffed , curling up. "I always need someone. But they never stay."He didn’t respond."Thank you ," I murmured , In a voice cracking. Then I let my eyes rest. But all of that was just more or less a dream. The sun was up when I opened my eyes.My head pounded , my mouth was so dry, and my heart felt even emptier than the night before.I sat up
