ログインDELILIAH
Three years later... I put some finishing touches on my makeup before stepping out of my quarters in a white, long, flowing robe. A black, sleek car was parked outside, blending with the darkness of the night. A middle-aged man bowed his head before running around to open the passenger door for me. I had barely taken two steps towards the vehicle before a head suddenly appeared in view. “Deliliah!” my friend, Vivian, beckoned me with a grin. “Get in! We're gonna be late!” My steps came to a brief pause as I stared at the quarter moon in the sky, wondering if I should do a quick divination to check on my luck for the evening. Of all the replacements my deputy priestess could choose to take her place for the evening, she just had to choose the wildcard in my life, the Oracle of the Moon Priestesses. After a second thought, I decided against it and entered the car with a sigh. The car engine immediately flared into life as the vehicle drove off, leaving the secluded forest and heading straight into the heart of pack territory. My friend immediately scooted closer with a bright smile on her face. “Hey, there,” she said, bumping her shoulders with mine. “I bet you didn't expect me to follow you for tonight's event, did ya?” I swallowed the frustrated groan bubbling in my throat and simply shook my head. “No, Vivian. I did not expect you here. I thought my deputy priestess despised you since the day you dragged her hair when we were fourteen.” Vivian's smile faltered, turning sheepish, but she did not back away as I'd expected. “Yeah, she did. I had to pull some strings to change her decision.” Of course she did. My beautiful, red-haired, sharp-tongued friend, who wore the same white gown as mine, couldn't possibly have accepted my deputy priestess's decision so easily. With her brown, doe eyes and fiery temper, she probably argued her way until she had no choice but to let her come tonight. “Just tell me that you didn't get into another physical fight with Hannah,” I said, resisting the urge to pinch my nose bridge like I always do whenever Vivian was involved. “I-I didn't!” she sputtered, eyes wide with panic and guilt. “I...just asked Caspian to overturn her decision.” My expression hardened. “That was out of line. You had no right—” “I know! I know I shouldn't have done it!” Vivian said, raising her hand in surrender. “But I was desperate. I didn't know how to watch over you after the morning divination I foresaw after the gathering.” My head snapped to her for the first time in the night after hearing her words. As Oracle of the Vyrclaw Pack, Vivian was the kind of woman who always acted strictly on the moon goddess's orders. If she didn't want to say anything, it would be nearly impossible to get it out of her. “Fine,” I relented with a soft sigh. “Just...try not to cause trouble tonight.” Vivian's body relaxed after receiving my permission, her smile appearing once more as she leaned against the posh leather seat. “Of course, I'll be on my best behavior. Caspian drilled the importance of tonight's event into my brain before he let me go,” she said, before clearing her throat and adopting a feigned solemn tone. “There must be absolutely no mishaps in the welcoming ceremony of the new Alpha King into the Vyrclaw Pack.” I rolled my eyes, knowing that she was only doing it to grate my nerves. It was only three months ago that we received news that the former Alpha King had been defeated and another had taken his place. No one knew his name, but his tales already preceded him. Some say that he was a brute and a bloodthirsty savage wolf who liked to fight others without reason. Others said he was a cold, calculated strategist who let others do his dirty work. But there was one thing that was common in all these rumours. He remained undefeated since his first wolf battle. “Have you been able to find out his identity yet?” I asked, watching the bright streetlights blur past my window as we entered the town. Vivian shook her head. “Not yet. No one has been able to even get a picture of him since he ascended the throne. That's why he's visiting the pack one by one, introducing himself personally.” Hmm, a man of mystery. I couldn't care less who sat on that damn throne as long as it didn't affect the smaller packs in the country. All I wanted was a peaceful life where I could live out my life as the Head Priestess of the Vyrclaw Pack, fulfilling my vow to the moon goddess. So all I said was, “Then I guess we'll find out his identity tonight.” The ride was silent for a while until we nearly reached the alpha's mansion. The dazzling lights outside the magnificent building never failed to take my breath away, but it looked even more beautiful tonight. Vivian suddenly turned to me with a solemn expression. “That reminds me, I have one last thing to discuss with you.” This time, I didn't hold back from releasing a weary sigh. “What is it?” “It is about the young acolyte, Iris,” she said. “I think she has suffered enough at the Hall of Punishment and should be released as soon as possible.” “No,” I said flatly. “Her punishment stands.” Vivian's voice turned pleading. “C'mon, Deliliah. She made a small mistake of sneaking out of the temple grounds. She is a young and curious child, so it only makes sense that she would be a bit mischievous—” “I have already passed my judgment and will not be questioned, Vivian,” I snapped, my voice sharp and final. “Let her punishment serve as a warning to the other young acolytes who are curious about things that do not concern them. Our duty is to serve the moon goddess, and that is what we shall do.” At that same moment, the car came to a screeching stop in front of the mansion. I came out of the car with a strange feeling creeping up my spine. My gaze lifted toward the grand entrance as I walked towards my destination. The world around me seemed to dull, the chatter of voices fading into a distant hum as that terrible feeling coiled deeper in my guts. Just when I was about to step into the marble stairs, my breath suddenly caught as my eyes settled on two men waiting at the entrance. I thought I was dreaming... no, I thought I must have been hexed or be under some kind of illusion spell. Because there was just no way this could be possible. No. It just couldn't be real. The sight of my alpha, Caspian Quinlan, standing side-by-side with my first love, Viktor Volvov. The man who abandoned me was now wearing the Alpha King’s crown. My heart slammed violently against my ribs. He abandoned me… to return as king.DELILAH Six months later... “Vivian, we are going to be late if you don't come out of the shower!” The response I received was some warbled sound that echoed through the closed door. I rolled my eyes in exasperation before folding the rest of my jeans into my suitcase. Luckily, I had forced Vivian to pack the previous night, or else we would have been late today. It took me thirty minutes to finish packing all my stuff and then, Vivian stepped out of the bathroom. I barely turned around to see my friend standing in her birthday suit so I jerked back in surprise. “What the hell?” I gasped, clutching my chest. “Did you not see the towel in the bathroom?” Vivian gave me an unapologetic smirk before walking towards towards her clothes scattered all over the bed. “Yeah, I saw it,” she replied, pulling her shirt over her head. “But why would I need to be modest when we are just here?” I opened my mouth to reply when I picked up some sounds approaching down the hallway. I didn't ne
DELILAHJust when Caspian’s monstrous form was lunging toward me with his claws raised, something suddenly exploded across the platform. A massive black wolf slammed into him from the side with enough force to shake the ground. The impact sent both of them crashing away from me, rolling across the ground in a violent fight of teeth and claws. That was when I finally saw the wolf that saved me.The black wolf moved with brutal precision, snapping its jaws, forcing Caspian back with every strike. Even in this chaos, there was some familiarity that echoed through my very chest. My breath caught at the sight. “Viktor,” I whispered, disbelief crashing through me. Relief hit me so hard my knees almost gave out. Here he was, alive and strong, fighting for me and for all the lives in the Vyrclaw Pack.I thought he had abandoned me, but I was wrong. He came back for me again. He always did.My heart twisted violently as I watched him fight Caspian, their bodies colliding again and again. Vik
DELILAHAfter seven moons, it was finally the day of Caspian's mating ceremony. The whole town was buzzing with celebration. Laughter echoed through the streets as music played from every corner, people gathering in clusters to dance, talk, and enjoy the moment. Shop doors stayed closed, not because they had to, but because no one wanted to be inside when everything was happening out here. The air felt warm and alive, filled with excitement and a quiet sense that something important was about to unfold. But my skin had been ridden with goosebumps since the sun rose to the sky. The entire Moon Temple was now empty since I sent down the forest to celebrate with the rest of the pack. It was only time they were allowed to be so carefree, and I did not want restrict them. Even though every fibre of me protested against the decision. I let out a faint breath and adjusted the Head Priestess robes on my body. A part of me was a bit scared about the plans I made today, fearing that somethin
DELILAHI carried Vivian's unconscious body back to the Moon Temple in order to avoid any unwanted eyes. It was a great struggle at first, navigating through the forests before reaching my destination but I did not relent. We could not afford for any patrolling sentry to see us like this, or else we would alert Tessa and then our plans would be ruined. So, I weaved my way through pack territory, taking all the shortcuts I knew until I finally reached my destination. I had just summoned the last vestiges of my Moon magic to pull down the barrier so we could pass through when I saw someone leaning against a tree with his arms folded. It was Dvah.My eyes widened surprise when I saw him but he didn't even spare me a glance as he rushed to hold the person on my back. “What the fuck happened?” he growled, his voice rough with worry. “Why is she injured? Where the hell are you two coming from?”I opened my mouth to explain everything, but then I remembered that we were still outside the
DELILAHCaspian immediately shot up from his seat without hesitation, not caring about the loud screech it made across the floor when he closed the distance between us. As soon as he got in front of me, he lowered himself on one knee before grabbing my arm, checking to see if I was hurt."Delilah, are you alright?" he asked, his voice full of concern. I was too shaken up by the divination to the point that I didn't even know how to respond for three solid seconds. My mind kept replaying all the images I'd seen earlier, and suddenly everything made sense. The fact that I had just unknowingly acquired the answers I have been looking for all this time through a simple divination nearly made my knees buckle from a mix of relief and exhaustion."Delilah?"I snapped my head up to see the blatant concern in Caspian's eyes looking back at me. It had been so long since he looked at me like that, so it nearly softened me, making me spill secrets that I had no business telling him. But then my
DELIILAH Two days later, I didn't hear anything from Viktor that day. Vivian locked herself in her room ever since that night and refused to come out. I tried to go to the visit his royal quarters but the guards refused to let me in. So what the hell happened? Where had he gone to? I felt abandoned and confused, but all my efforts to decipher the situation were futile. If it wasn't for my powers currently being drained, I would have already used a tracking spell to find him. Leaning against my seat, I pinched my nose bridge to curb my insistent headache. My alpha's upcoming wedding was another pain to think about, especially since the days were quickly passing by. Deep down, I knew I had to leave the pack soon, but I didn't want to go without Viktor. A knock on the door suddenly tore my attention away. I lifted my head to glare at the door, as if willing the person at the other side to go away but she didn't. After two more hesitant knocks, I finally responded. “Come
DELILAHThe following days, I stayed in the healer's cabin, living my life leisurely and quite... pleasurably. I ignored Caspian's numerous requests to summon me for morning pack rituals and other reasons he probably didn't want to mention publicly. He was probably panicking more than usual because
DELILAH Caspian sat rigidly in his office, his expression as stormy as the sea after receiving news of Iris' death. His ocean-blue eyes flashed with a cold intensity, almost mirroring the scornful gaze of his fiancée, Tessa. Despite the raw tension crackling between us, he chose to remain silent,

VIKTORAfter parting ways with Delilah, I retreated to my royal quarters in a state of barely restrained fury. My wolf prowled restlessly beneath my skin, unusually subdued, as though even he knew better than to challenge the storm raging inside me. The memory of Delilah walking away, looking so co
