The loud bell rings loudly waking me from my sleep. I look over at the empty bed across the room and I wonder where Margaret is. When I was the King's sex slave he would never let me spend the night in his chambers. It was not until he started to pursue me as a mate did he finally allow me that privilege. Stretching my arms wide to the side, I make my way over to the dresser that we share and pull out one of my maid uniforms. Just as I am pulling it over my head there is a knock on the door that separates our room from Alexanders.

Straightening the dress, I quickly button up the front buttons and open the door. The metallic smell of blood fills my nose as soon as the door is opened. Alexander is holding the door open with one hand and gestures for me to come inside with another. Hurriedly I glance around the room looking for Margaret.
