Alora POV:
I had barely gotten an hour of sleep when I was woken up by the screaming noises of a woman. We had arrived at a mansion last night, it was one of the houses that belonged to Tamlin. We had a late introduction with his father, the Alpha, he stared at me like I wasn’t what he expected. I gave a polite greeting but he dismissed it by walking away. “Please slower” I could hear the woman say, the walls were thin enough for me to hear her cries along with the grunts of a man. “I can’t take it anymore” she kept pleading. I made my way closer to the room where the sound was. I found Tamlin in the room with a strange woman, she had her hands against the bed rest, as he held her legs secure in his hands beside his thighs. He was rough, heavy grunt from his lips, tears streaming down her eyes like it hurt. It did, he had just lost my sister and was using the poor woman to grieve. She must have had no idea what was in stall for her, Once she saw me, she whispered some words to me. Tamlin followed her line of sight, but before he could see me, I had pulled away from the door. A hand covered my lips and pushed my back against the wall, away from all that was happening. It wasn’t the first time Tamlin had cheated on me so I was unbothered this time, I knew there would be many more to come. My eyes narrowed to see Aaron in front of me, his breath reeked of alcohol. It was rare for werewolves to get drunk but with special chemicals it was possible for such a thing to happen. Though those chemicals have been banned by the Alpha, those with high power still had access to them like Aaron, who used it on a daily basis. “Do you like what you saw?” He teased dropping his hands off my lips, I’m not surprised how he got into the house, he must have been here more times than I did. “Leave me alone” I brushed past his shoulders and walked away. I had only walked a little step when he grabbed my hand and slammed my back against the wall. Everything was so sudden that I let out a groan of pain. The noise from Tamlin’s room became quiet, had he heard me? “You know I can make you feel good too?” Aaron snarled. He had always made such remarks at me, every woman he ever set his eyes on was old enough to be in his bed. I ignored his words and said nothing. “Come on, it’s not like it’s your first time” those words made me pause. What did he mean by that. I would never sleep with him even if he was the last person on earth. Aaron was a jovial being but when he was serious, it would be written all his face, I shook my head and laughed. “We have never” “Would I lie to you?” “Yes, your lips are filled with lies and deceit just to get any woman in your bed” “Not this time” a voice said and I froze. I turned to my left to see Tamlin standing by the corner, he leaned against the wall as though he had been watching us for a while. His gaze fell on Aaron’s hand on my wrist, I tried to pull my wrist out so he wouldn’t get mad but Aaron was too strong. “How is the bitch?” Aaron asked referring to the woman he had just had his fun with. “Passed out, she could barely handle it. I hate when women claim they can” he crossed his arms feeling pissed off by it. This was no time to divert what they had just said. “What did you mean by not this time?” I asked. It wasn’t Tamlin who answered me, he had a look on his face like he shouldn’t be bothered with me. Aaron let go of me and burst out in laughter, “Did you think that it was him all those while” He pointed to Tamlin, I turned to him but he was staring at the ground, not because he was ashamed but because the floor was more amusing to him than my face. I caught sight of a smirk on his face. This has to be a prank. There is no way that is possible. Could it? Could that be the reason why he always had me blindfolded each time we did it. It wasn’t just a kink as he claimed, because he never did it with me but wanted me to think he did. “Tell me he is lying, Tamlin?” He ignored me. Aaron pulled closer to me and whispered in my ears, “Don’t worry, you are one of the best girls I fucked. I never really go back after one round but with you, it felt good” “Noooo” I pushed him off me. He looked pissed that he landed a slap against my face. I held my cheek and turned to Tamlin, almost falling to my knees in front of him, “Tell me it’s a lie” I pleaded with him but he just let out a smile. One of my fears have been confirmed. “We never did it” he confirmed and I fell to my knees. Tears streamed down my face, my trust shattered. Aaron yanked me by my hair, “Get up you bitch” he pulled me off the ground. “Get off me” I knocked him off with my elbow connecting to his forehead. Without thinking I ran out of the house refusing to look back. “Get her” I could hear Tamlin order. I sprinted as fast as I could, avoiding the road where I could easily be found, and into the woods. I kept running and running and. Running. Refusing to take a breather because I knew that Tamlin and Aaron were right behind me. I couldn’t give them the pleasure of finding me, they would hurt me in ways that I wouldn’t expect, worse they could kill me. I wouldn’t sit back and let them end my miserable life, all I had to do was leave. I just had to make it past the border and I would be fine. That’s what I told myself. So I kept running and running, “Alora” I could hear Tamlin scream my name. Flashing lights behind me, I sprinted faster than before, wishing and praying that I could escape him when I fell. I raised my head to leave when I found myself surrounded by several men, holding spears and pointing it at me. “Who are you?” “What do you want here?” I remained silent, realizing that I had already crossed the border into another pack. I slowly stood up with my hands in the air when I was knocked down to the ground by a man kicking my feet. “She belongs to me” a voice said a few distance behind. My whole body shivered knowing who it was. It was Tamlin. I shook my head to the man in front of me, begging him not to send me back to Tamlin. “Just hand her over and we will be gone” Tamlin demanded. I slowly turned to see him with a dozen men behind him and a pissed off Aaron, his expression meant every bit that he was going to kill me. Just when I was about to lose all hope, a voice answered, “We can’t do that” I turned to see a Man. Tall, broad-shouldered, dressed in black jeans and a fitted blue shirt that clung to his frame. His hair was jet black, thick curls falling over his forehead, and his jaw tense, sharp as a blade. But it was his eyes that stole the breath from my lungs. Emerald green. Specks of fire and forest swirling together. Behind him trailed another man, the same height, with warm brown hair and striking blue eyes. He walked in sync with the first, as though they were one heartbeat in two bodies. The air felt dangerous. “And why is that?” Tamlin asked. “Because,” he growled, “She is my mate.”“I’m not sure it’s good to see you Arnold” Tamlin spat with malicious intent. “It’s Alpha Arnold to you” The man corrected, his position upright as he stood right behind me. Tamlin let out a cruel laugh, trying too hard to sound like he was in control. “I hadn’t realized you were coronated,” he sneered. “I guess the invitation was lost in the pile of unimportant things we receive every day.” Aaron, standing at his side, echoed the laugh, but it was empty, forced. Nothing about this moment was amusing to this strange man. Instead, He pulled his right hand from his pocket, “Give the girl back to us” Aaron requested, his brows knotted with his lashes. Arnold didn’t move. Didn’t even acknowledge him. It was as if Aaron didn’t exist, as if he were no more than dust floating in the corner. Aaron’s face twisted with fury, lips curling back. He hated being ignored, hated being dismissed. His anger shook through his words. “Did you hear me?” he barked. “Give us the girl and

Last night I realized that I had no one at my side. I sat in his room and cried all night, he never bothered to send me a text, they never came back. No one cared to check up on me despite my sobs. I shown have known when mother decided that my wedding dress would be pink, I should have known when father kept me in my room while they decided what would happen at the wedding. There were so many signs but I was blinded, I couldn’t see. I thought that if I had one person beside me then it would be okay. He assured that he wanted me,I asked him several times if he wanted to be with me and he said yes. Why now? Why did they have to do this to me. “We are leaving in three minutes” Mother burst through the door, it wasn’t a choice to come to the wedding, it was an order. Elara had told them the truth, not one act of pity was laid upon me. My father walked up to me and told me to suck it up, “You should have known a long time ago that he wasn’t yours” he said. I stepped
Alora While I was getting ready for my wedding tomorrow, my sister was getting fucked by my mate in his room. Growing up in the Dellih family, I was always the shadow, the extra, the one they barely noticed unless they wanted something to compare to. The odd child, second to the best. And the best was always my sister. Elara. She was three years older than me and my parent’s favorite. My parents didn’t even try to hide it, she was their favorite, their shining star, their pride. I was just… there. If Elara was the sun, then I was the dust stuck behind her glow, invisible unless you squinted hard enough. Everything I owned was once hers. Clothes, books, jewelry. Even my bedroom furniture. I used to call them leftovers, because that’s all I ever got. Leftovers. After all those years of being treated like I was insignificant, of being inferior to her, I was finally going to be with my mate. My Tamlin. A man who saw me and loved me for who I am, a man who I would never be se
