Chapter Fifteen

Axel was leading me back into the castle after our talk, his jacket still draped around my shoulders as we entered. I knew I still had so much more to learn of the life I’ll be living, perhaps I could head to the library tomorrow morning and see if I can find any books that will help. I could use the excuse that I’m taking the books I have already read back, but I know Axel won’t mind me doing my own research.

We enter the main lobby section, where we were intercepted by around five men all wearing rather fancy clothes.

“Sir, we have been attempting to reach you through mind-link for the past hour, you cannot keep avoiding this situation.” One of the men say, the way in which he spoke told me he was rather annoyed at Axel for whatever reason.

    Hannah continues to drag me out of the bedroom, at first the empty hallways confused me but I soon remember what I was told from the first ceremony.     The next day I was released from the hospital, but was given strict instructions to rest and not fight men in cupboards! Axel took this literally and told me I was to stay in bed until I was back to normal, I was very against this idea now I know who one of the men I have been searching for is. But Axel wasn’t having any of it, he told me this whole search can’t continue without the book which he has hidden anyway. So I was forced to sit in bed all day, but he did head to the library and picked me up a ton of books to read while he had to work. I did really appreciate that gesture, but I would still much rather be finding this guy.
