AMY.

Anna was the first person I opened my eyes to see this morning. She was smiling and humming like the bride or the one getting married.

Her happiness somehow made me extra giggly about the whole thing. The wedding plan is not a loud one or a very serious one, but the fact that I am being accepted and someone sees the good in me is what makes me happy.

He not only sees the good in me. But also He accepts me as his queen. He could have helped me and still rejected me as his mate, thinking I was just a messed-up lady, but no, he didn't.

I am not sure; I am trying to think twice about what he has done, but I am certain that he loves me, and he has done what almost everyone wouldn't do!

“Ma’am!” Anna called out to me, and I jerked out of my thoughts and looked at her.

“What is the matter?” I asked her, and she smiled.

“You seem lost in your thoughts; what is the matter, Ma?” She asked, and I smiled at her.

“Hmmm, what can I say? This! Everything seems unreal and real at the same time!” I said, and she blushed.

I looked at her and smiled briefly, seeing that she was blushing at my words. But why?

“I know it seems unrealistic to be getting married to the infamous King Charles, and you can't believe the bride is you.” She said, and I nodded.

“You are reacting to a normal lady. King Charles is a respected man with a very good character, and he is handsome.” She mentioned it, and I could not help but feel hot.

I can literally see his face in my thoughts right now and his nice smile that can easily turn my head around. It is the best feeling ever.

“He is the prayer point of most of the ladies in the clan, but you are lucky. He found you and fell in love with you!” She mentioned it, and I nodded.

Of course, I know I am lucky to have Charles because, one, he is the king, and two, he is the most handsome man I have seen.

And not only is he handsome, but he is also kind and caring and with good virtues. What more can anyone ask for?

“It's a surprise, but be happy; this is your very moment. You will never regret it, I assure you, because you are a lucky woman, and you are marrying a very lucky man,” she added, and I sighed.

I can't say if he is lucky to have me, but I am damn certain that I am so very lucky to have him in my life.

“So chin up and let's do this!” She finalized it, and I was surprised.

She was speaking like my best friend, and she was so honest with her feelings and her words, and I couldn't help but appreciate everything.

“Thank you!” I said, and she smiled at me. I immediately found my way to the bathroom, took my bath, and walked back to the room.

She was already set. She had arranged my wares and my jewelry. Trust me, yesterday's shopping was meant to be brief, but not until the king showed up, and he was busy buying more than I needed.

I tried to stop him, but he was so engrossed in the image he was trying to paint in my eyes. Anytime I speak, he says that I am picking too much.

He will say, “My woman deserves the best, and if the best is in everything, then she deserves everything!”

His words were so sweet, but at the same time, I was not fine with the fact that we overspent. I intended to return most of the items later, but Charles sent the items back to the designer to customize them.

So even if I return them when they are here, it is still useless because it is now customized and no one will love it.

“I think this will suit you perfectly, Miss Amy!” Anna said, pointing at the traditional attire she brought out. It was a marriage in the temple, and it would indeed be better if I wore it, but I didn't see it yesterday.

Was it in the wardrobe before we bought the clothes yesterday?

And if so, why waste money when there was a piece in the wardrobe before?

“Did we buy this yesterday?” I asked as I walked up to the vanity table and began to apply skincare products on my body and face.

From the scent and texture of every product, I could tell they must be pretty expensive, and they work very well. 

That they were flawless, as I have never seen anything like them, not even in the Dark Sun pack, with Kiara or any of the noble ladies!

“Do you not like it, ma'am?” She asked, and I rolled my eyes at how dramatic she can be. She said, looking down at the clothes with pity the moment I said I asked the question.

It was like she was feeling sorry for the clothes that were not chosen at the time. I laughed a little before turning to her.

“It is a very pretty dress, and it perfectly fits the theme, and I love it. I was just curious about where it had been before.

“Ohh, that is very good. I was so torn apart when I wanted to choose the perfect outfit for you, and I think this goes with these heels and the jewelry.” She said, and I looked down at the items, trying to understand what she was saying.

“It is giving a mystery bride theme, and I love it already.” She said and giggled again.

“You are fair-skinned, so this will not be so loud out there!” She went on and on about the dress and why she had chosen it at the time.

I smiled before turning to her.

“When did King Charles say we will be going?” I asked, and she immediately froze. She looked like she was guilty of something at the moment, and I was surprised.

Did she forget to call Charles, or did she forget what Charles had sent her, or why is she acting so weird?
