63. The Plan

Kai filled me in on how Tabitha had given him a new hand. He said it wasn’t like he got his old hand back; he grew a brand new one. There had been a tattoo and scar on his hand, and now it was as good as new.

It hurt like hell when Tabitha removed a pound of flesh, and I was glad I wasn’t there, because I would have killed her for hurting my mate.

But nothing prepared me for the pain of his hand growing back. The only thing that helped was sticking my hand in the ice cold river near our pack. I hoped that distracting Kai by sounding seductive might distract him, because, Goddess almighty, that hurt.

I couldn’t wait to see Kai and try his new hand out. I wondered if it was really soft because I actually liked the feel of his rough hand on my body.

What was most important, was that Kai felt good. That he could fight like he used to, and that he didn't require assistance with simple tasks.I didn’t care if he had one hand or two, but I knew how much it meant to him.

Sorry for not writing as much. For some reason I've been very insecure. Maybe it's because I'm comparing myself to other writers on this app. I don't know. But every time I think of the next step in this story I start to doubt myself and wonder if it's right. Just to clarify, I love you all. AND I never ever feel like you don't apreciate me. It's coming from within me, not from anything outside. maybe it's this month. December is a stress full thing. it's fun, but also very stressful.
