MasukThis has got to be some sort of joke! What is the alpha talking about?!
He reached for my hands and slowly pulled me to my feet. The warmth from his hand sent a rush of adrenaline through me.
"Your majesty. I think you're mistaken. If... if you need a lady for the night, we have tons of ladies for you to choose from." The boss uttered.
The Alpha shot him one look of disgust before his gaze fell back on me.
I tried not to squeal out loud. He moved closer towards me until the only air I could take in was the one clouded with his perfume.
I felt his hot breath in my neck as he let out a sound that I couldn't decipher.
Could he sense that I was wolf-less?!
Then, placing his nose on my neck as if to take a whiff, he said: "You have the scent. You will be the one to bear children for the Alpha." In one instance, he let go of me, then turned to face the boss.
"How much for this one?" He asked.
"What?!" The boss asked in disbelief.
"Your....your majesty..." The boss stuttered heavily, "She....she will not be able to satisfy you as much as these ones." He let out, gesturing to the omegas that stood behind him. And as if on cue, they began to plop their breasts in front of the Alpha as though they were displaying their wares.
"How much for her?" Alpha Henry insisted, his gaze lingering now on me.
There was a long silence from the boss, as though he were contemplating his options. "She has no worth.....no value. I'll give her to you for free."
I felt my heart drop to my stomach. That was what everyone in here saw me as. A worthless wolfless omega.
Dimitri's eyes never left me as Alpha Henry took hold of my hand again and led me out of the room. I heard him mutter something under his breath, but I was much too concerned now to care about him or any of them.
As soon as we were out, he traced a finger underneath my jaw. "I knew it wouldn't be that hard for me to find you." He said with a sinister smirk.
I swallowed hard. "What?"
He ran his eyes over me, taking in my appearance. My hair was a mess and my clothes were filled with stains from all the cleaning I had to do earlier.
"Close your eyes." He ordered firmly. I noticed a slight shift in his tone. It was no longer soft as when he had first addressed me.
My mind reeled as Alpha Henry's words hung in the air.. I couldn't process my thoughts properly.
My heart just kept pounding vigorously in my chest.
The Alpha was married; everyone knew that. How could he claim me as his mate? And most importantly, what did he mean by I was going to bear the Alpha's children?
I didn't have my wolf, so I hadn't gotten my mate yet, and couldn't tell if the Alpha was my mate or not.
But....but just what if he was?
'What was I even saying?' The alpha is married to his Luna.’
Before I could gather my thoughts, a sweet, pungent smell wafted through the air, and my vision began to blur. I tried to speak, but my words slurred, and my body felt heavy.
Everything around me began to spin, and I stumbled, my knees buckling beneath me.
"What....what is happening to me?!" I managed to utter
The last thing I remembered was Alpha Henry's face, his emerald eyes locked on mine, before everything went dark.
When I finally regained consciousness, I was met with the stench of mold and decay.
My head pounded, and my mouth felt dry. I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me to lie back down. As my vision cleared, I realized I was in a dungeon.
Panic set in as I scrambled to my feet, my heart racing. How did I get here? What did Alpha Henry plan to do with me? I paced back and forth, trying to piece together the events that led me to this forsaken place.
The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the sound of dripping water somewhere in the distance. I called out, but my voice was swallowed by the darkness. I was alone, and I had no idea what lay ahead.
A faint noise echoed through the corridor. I could hear footsteps approaching. I backed away, my heart pounding louder in my chest.
The door creaked open, and a figure loomed in the entrance. I strained to see their features, but the dim light hid their faces. "Who's there?" I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.
The figure didn't respond, instead stepping forward to reveal a guard with a stern expression. He tossed a tray of food onto the floor, his eyes never meeting mine. "Eat," he growled, before turning to leave.
I made an attempt to run after him, but he had already shut the door against me. All efforts to try to get the door to budge was futile.
"Let me out of here!" I shrieked as I banged both fists against the door.
The door opened again. Hope swirled in my chest. But the moment the door was ajar, I felt a large hand against my chest and before I could process anything else, my buttocks had met with the hard floor.
Alpha Henry....
I realized, wasn't the one who had shoved me to the ground but one of the guards who stood in front of him.
The guards stood apart, making a way for him to pass.
"Please your majesty, do not kill me," I begged him and immediately got on my knees clasping my hands together.
"I don't intend to." His voice was calm and it sent a tingling sensation down to my stomach.
He crouched until he was at my level and ran his fingers across my skin.
"You are rather beautiful. I will very much enjoy doing this." He said with a smirk.
'Doing what...Doing what?!!!' I screamed internally but I couldn't bring myself to speak.
"....and your skin. How delicate it is." He went on to say.
"Ple.... please.... please..." I stuttered heavily trying to get my words out, but it was stuck in my throat.
My body was visibly trembling from the warm feeling beneath his fingers.
He traced his fingers across the worried lines on my face before resting them on my lips.
His gaze fell into my breast and I froze instantly.
It couldn't be what I was thinking, could it?
He inched closer towards me, clouding my senses again with his scent.
That scent....
Why was it so intoxicating?! The tingling sensation traveled all the way to my brain, blocking every iota of reasoning.
I felt a burning between my legs as his fingers travelled down onto my shoulder.
I wasn't getting fucking horny from his mere touch! I've been kidnapped and here I was getting turned on by my captor.
'Focus, Elara, focus!' I screamed inside my head.
The door opened again, and this time, Alpha Henry's Luna, Chrysantha, stood at the door, radiating in her full glory.
I wanted to jerk away from the Alpha the moment I saw her but he held me in place.
"Your genes are perfect and you will bear the Alpha's children ." Chrysantha's voice rang out after she had run her eyes all over my body.
I hadn't realized that Alpha Henry's lips were inches away from the side of my neck. He hissed softly before closing the distance.
I clasped my hand quickly over my mouth, suppressing the moan.
"First, I need to mark you." His voice came out in a drunken state before he sank his fangs into my neck, marking me as his mate right in front of his Luna.
Elara's POV Damion's lips curled into a cold smile. The lunar fire dancing around him brightened, crackling against his skin as he slowly stepped forward."Failed?" he echoed with a laugh. "The moon goddess didn't just fail. She abandoned us."He growled. "Where was she when wolves were dying?" Damion spread his arms. "Where was she when packs were starving? Where was she when chaos consumed our world?"His eyes swept across the gathered Alphas."Nowhere."The lunar flames surged higher."But Saleen was there. Saleen gave us purpose. She gave us direction. She gave us power."The energy around him exploded outward, causing several Alphas immediately took a step back."Whether you like it or not..." his voice deepened. "Saleen is your goddess now."A growl rolled through the arena. Some agreed.Others looked horrified.Damion simply smirked. Then his gaze landed on my stomach and it twisted. The smile on his face softened. And somehow that made it worse."Elara."The way he said my n
Elara POV Finding out that Chrysantha and Damion had been hooking up with each other had kept me in a mood I couldn't explain for the past two weeks. It left me wondering what else was going on right under my nose without me finding out. It's been two weeks since we moved to the Ontario, two weeks of living in Henry's house among humans, and two weeks of healing and recovering.Henry had been all loved up with his kids and me as well.He made sure I didn't lack anything. And everything I needed being constantly provided for me.I stood before the long mirror, whirling my energy while I admired the reflection. It was now or never. Henry wasn't totally in support of this, but it was high time we stopped thoes good for nothing Saleen puppets before they stopped us.I made a hard fist, practicing the core emergy concentration trick for the umpteenth time. The one of whirling the energy around the fist for some time as it steamed in the core.A wicked smile spread across my face.We wer
Chrysantha’s POVThe anger burned so hot in my chest I thought it would choke me before I even reached the palace gates. Two weeks. Two whole weeks of silence from Damion after he stabbed me in the back in front of the entire arena. After he stood there beside Saleen like some loyal dog while my whole world crumbled. Henry had already served me the divorce papers, and now this?I wasn’t going to sit and lick my wounds like some weak Luna. No. I stormed through the corridors of Moon Shield, my heels clicking hard against the stone floors, fists clenched so tight my nails dug into my palms. The guards didn’t even try to stop me. Maybe they saw the fire in my eyes or maybe they were too scared after everything that had gone down. I didn’t care. I pushed open the heavy doors to Damion’s chambers without knocking. He was there, sitting on his trone-like chair, shirtless as usual, that smug look already plastered on his face. He wasn’t surprised to see me!That sneaky ba!tard. His lips cu
Elara's POV Two weeks had passed since that nightmare at the inauguration grounds, and somehow, I was still breathing. My body felt almost like mine again.Although it was still weak in some places, but the fire in my veins was slowly coming back. No more waking up in cold sweats, clutching my stomach like something was ripping me apart from the inside. The poison was gone, or mostly gone, thanks to the healers and that gentle silver light from the moon goddess herself.I sat up in the soft bed of this strange apartment Henry had brought us to, staring out the window at the quiet streets of Ontario. Humans everywhere, living their normal lives, no idea about wolves or goddesses or betrayals that could tear packs apart. It was peaceful in a way I hadn't known in months. No Damion hovering with his fake concern. No Saleen’s shadow looming. Just me, the twins cooing in the corner, and Anna moving around like the rock she’d always been.My heart tugged every time I looked at my babies
Damion's POV "I can't believe you let them go!"Saleen growled for the umpteenth time, striking a tree on the path with emerald green lighting. Rage rolling out. We watched the tree dry up at the instant."Find them or this becomes your cause."She spun to me quickly. Fear attempted to get into me, but I shook it off immediately, reminding myself what fear could do especially in the presence of Saleen. She'd suck it up, and consume it, using it quickly to her advantage. "The thick clouds." I said, gathering my words. I believe they came from the moon goddess. "Cut the crap!"She shot, shutting me up at the instant."The moon goddess that hasn't been responding to any of the wolves since the full moon, what do you mean she suddenly showed up?""If it's not her, then who?"I asked without hesitation and that statement earned me some scolding.Saleen stopped on her tracks, her dark eyes charging at me."Tell me, are you saying this as an excuse for your incompetence or what?"She gr
Henry’s POVThe wind whipped against my face like a thousand tiny blades as Eddy and I tore through the shadowed paths leading back to Moon Shield. My chest burned with every stride, but I didn’t dare slow down. The image of Damion’s silver-crackling hands and Saleen’s cold, triumphant smile haunted every step. Shawn’s body and Ezekiel’s desperate howls too.It all fueled the fire in my veins. We had barely escaped with our lives, and now the only person who could turn this nightmare around lay vulnerable in Damion’s territory.“Faster, Eddy!” I growled, my voice hoarse from the battle cries still echoing in my throat. “If Damion gets to her first...”“He won’t,” Eddy panted beside me, his partial shift making his movements jagged but powerful. “Moon goddess be with us.”We burst through the familiar gates of the Moon Shield pack house, ignoring the startled guards who scrambled out of our way. The corridors felt longer than ever, every shadow a potential trap. My heart hammered as w

Elara's POV. My skin burned under his touch, and my heart made thoes drastic movements against its chambers.I should be breaking off his grip.No...not just that, I should be positioning the sword over his neck and demanding he went back to the iron fang, but instead, weaknesses pourned down on m

I left for one night...It's a miracle that morning finally came in a situation like this, because times like these, it never did.I thought it would never come as I had stopped expecting it either. After I left Henry at the border, I waltzed into my pack lands.I'd managed to find an area of land
