Chapter 2: Dying by Saving

Lai's POV

Today, I will finally leave this human world, I feel sad. My life belongs here, this is my home. So leaving this world is so hard for me. 

They say, I should accomplish my duties as wolf, my clan needs me. However, it's not easy to enter they life again. It's not good, that suddenly I need to change everything that I used to lived and do.

Besides, this is my life, shouldn't be me the one who decide whatever I like? I wish, I was born human where I can do anything I want and live the way I dream.

The door for the world opened, I hesitated to enter but my guardian Beta pushes me. When I entered, it's like a magic that suddenly I'm into different dimension of world. 

There are two men waiting for us, one is old, the other is just at age like me. I know them, the old one is our Alpha and the other is his son, our next Alpha. He will be my mate, according to the prophecy.

"So you are the one?" I ask then he seems don't get it 

"I mean you're the anointed man? My destiny as what they say?" I cleared and laughrd cause he looks so dumb

"Yes," he replied shortly.

"Alright, I want to be clear. I don't like you," she said.

He stopped from what he hear and look at her then he smirked.

"You're not my type so don't be too full about yourself" he replied.

I laughed so hard, can you imagine it, he's so choosy. Like hello, I'm Lai, the campus crush. Everyone like me, in human world they feel flattered when talking to me, then here he was saying I'm not her type duh!

"I'm here to discuss what you will do here, so listen carefully," he stated.

"Wait, I just came back. Didn't you prepared a welcome party to me?" Seriously this people never knew how to enjoy life.

"You're not here for party but to accomplish your duties," he said like a boss so I just pouted.

"First of all you can't say that you are the Lycan daughter, not yet until the time is right. Everyone knew that his daughter already died 8th years ago," if that's then, I can go back to human world.

"When is the right time? If they knew that I already died then I no longer to be here. What will I do here then?" I asked continuously.

"The right time is when we mate. Like what I said, you need to accomplish your duty and that is to be my mate," he replied instantly.

"So I will wait here until the mate? If they can't know who I am, then what will I say if someone ask me? Where would I live?" Ugh I wish my life here will be better.

"For the mean time you will live at our house. When someone ask you what's your position just say you're an omega." Omega should great! 

"What does omega do?" I keep on nagging.

"Servant," he said then smirked.

"WHUT? you mean I'll be a servant here? No way, let me go back to my life," I said protestingly.

"You will act like a servant only if there's other people idiot," he said so I tried to slap him but he move quickly to my other side.

"Woah, how did you do that?" I asked in amazed reaction.

"You will be in train so prepared yourself," he said in serious tone.

It's been a week since I got here and to tell you honestly I experience horrible. I was pushed too much in our training, they make me do something beyond my capabilities. I feel exhausted, I just want to be back on my normal life. 

"Stand, we will continue the training," he said like he never felt tiredness.

"What! Seriously I thought we're done?" It's already night, 6:00 pm. I'm tired and hungry, I can't even feel my arms and feet due to numbness.

"This is your last training for the day so stand up if you want to finish it and take a rest," even though I still want to rest, I stand to finish all of this.

"You last training is to find this gems. There are four gems hidden in the campsite but most of them are in shady and dark outside of campsite," he explain and I look closer to the gem.

"Is this hide and seek game, too childish. What's the purpose of these?" I ask.

"That's your task to know the purpose of this," he said.

"Fine, I'll find it now. Ughh this is so frustrating!" I nagged but started finding the gems.

I found the 2 gems in campsite, duh this is so easy because I have a sharp eyes, can't this task replace on my running training?

Now I go to the outside of campsite to find the remaining gems. 

It's been an hour since I tried to look at outside but can't see any gems. I just wanted to give up, I'm nearly at the edge of the mountain. When I look around I really found one so decided to go back to our site. 

Upon walking back, I tired to look at the moon but something I notice at the top of the tree, something is shining. 

"Aha, there you go!" I said and slowly tired to climb up. I'm into half way getting the gem but suddenly a snake appear then I panicked which resulted me to fall.

"Ouch, that's hurt so bad!" I said then suddenly the atmosphere feels different, like someone is watching.

I stood straight then get the stick beside me. I looked around, out of nowhere an wolf appeared. A color black and giant wolf with fury eyes like he's ready to eat me.

I started running fast but the wolf is faster also. When I  nearly reached the edge, I stopped. I feel cold yet I'm sweating a lot. 

I don't have choice but to fight, so I'll apply what I've learned in training. I position myself like I'm ready to fight but I waited for the wolf to attack first. When he does, before he can bite me, I smash his left neck so he step backward. 

The angry wolf become more wild, he hit me at my stomach using his head so I let go of my stick and out balanced.

I feel the pain so I can't stand immediately, the wolf grab the opportunity to attacked me, he bite me at my left foot. I scream for pain, I shake uncontrollably.

The wolf tried to attack me again but someone appear and hit him using stones.

The next Alpha, I get hope that finally someone will save me but at the same time I feel fear. 

Because this was happened before also, eight years ago. 

The next Alpha and wolf fight, both are good so it's intense. 

The next Alpha is much better,  he nearly beat the wolf. He give the wolf a hard punch so lost its consciousness.

After he lose the wolf, he immediately go to help me. I can't look at him because I feel ashamed that he taught me how to win or survive against wolf yet I didn't apply any of his teaching.

"Thank you," I murmured.

"I hope you learn something that hide and seek isn't just finding something. Reflect carefully," he said seriously so I look at my feet to avoid his gazed.

"Wait, I'll get you stick as support while you walk," he said and find stick. 

When he's coming back holding the stick, out of his knowledge the wolf stood and attacked him.

The next Alpha fall at the cliff but he grabbed the arm of wolf so they're both fell.

I feel terrified, I give my all strength to look at the cliff but I can't find him. 

I won't forgive myself if in the second time someone die because of saving me.

Does saving someone require deaths? 

Is he already died!?
