Chapter 3: I can see your future.

Lai's POV

Experiences shape us to become someone out of our comfort zone.

Life pushes us harder up to the point we feel numb but the only choice we have is to continue.

The incident where the next Alpha fell at cliff was my turning point to be better.

It's been almost 2 years since the incident happened but then, I can't move on from any of those. I was hated by everyone, they're all my enemy, the only thing I got here is myself. 

Since then I never been absent in any training, I listen carefully and apply everything. So the next time, I can protect myself and no one will put in danger because of me.

"I've seen you're growth for sure in few months when we both transform, you'll be one of the great wolf," he complimented me.

"Right, Thanks to you,"I said smiling ear from ear. He is the only friend I got here.

"Let's go to that cliff and eat these!" He shown the foods he brought and pointed the cliff nearby where he fell before.

"Do you still hate this place? The other wolves?" He asked out of no where.

"Yes, who would love this place anyway. This where you fell, then everyone become my enemy." Back then I'm so afraid that Kai won't survive luckily he does. However he was unconscious for six months, all of the wolves even my own father hated me. I felt like that their wishing it should had been me who fell and not their next Alpha.

"You're just saying that because you wanted to look uninterested but I know deep inside that you've learned to love this place and the wolves," he said like he knows me too well.

"No way, there's nothing interesting here unlike the human world," I resonate.

"Even me?" He asked then lean forward to me and I look away.

I don't know what's the real score between us, no one dared to ask. I just knew that he's someone special. 

"Yes, even you," then I slap him gentle and he acted like hurt.

I finally get used of living a life here but honestly sometimes I missed the human world. I missed my life before, my friends, and my mutual one. Yes I used to like a human.

"Aren't you afraid when time comes?" I asked because in time, we will become wolf then he will be an Alpha and my mate.

"No, I'm excited actually because I've been mold for this since I was child, you?" He said eagerly.

"I'm afraid," I'm afraid that I may not able to fulfill my duties. To fail them because unlike him, I'm an amateur and not mold for this.

"You don't have too, because I'm here to guide and protect you," he looked at me straight to my eyes. I'm also afraid that I might commit great sins that can cause disaster to everybody.

One day before our shifts, everything went intense, Kai and I, are both busy preparing. I haven't seen him in awhile. During our break I tried to sneak then go to the cliff, this is where I felt I can see everything and I can breathe peacefully. I sleep for a while in one of the branches. 

I'm here at the entrance of our campsite, I see that everyone is running, seems panicking over something or to someone. I tried to look what is happening but I can't find any answer until I spot something on left side.

There are three wolves, one is the rival against the other two. I can't figure who they are since I've never seen that kind of wolves. The wolf with pink eyes and it's guard hairs are combination of white and red color is really attractive but it look dangerous. The other one is color green and white and the last one is blue and white. I'm sure that I've never seen these three. 

The wolf with pink eyes step closer, then the other two step back seems like terrified to its aura. Slowly the wolf with pink eyes position to attack like a wild one. 

"Owoooooooooooo!" The wolf with pink eyes howl then suddenly the moon starts to get red.

The other wolves get weaker, like they where hypnotize. I got goosebumps when the wolf looked at me, like I'm a mirror, analyzing carefully my face. 

"AH!" I exhaled when I woke up. I'm sweating a lot and my heart beats so fast that was bad dream, what does it mean?

The night of shifting

I felt nervous but I don't know why. Today will be my shifting and the same they will announce that I'm the Lycan's daughter. The one that they thought died ten years ago and the anointed princess, mate of the Alpha.

Everything was settled, the other wolves are in half circle. The Alpha and the Lycan are in front, it will be my first time to meet again my biological family since I'm prohibited to meet them.

Kai and I go in front of them, the Beta start the ceremony and the ritual at exactly 12 midnight, I already feel the sensation of switching. I hurts so much, I feel like I'm peeling off. 

I looked at Kai, his face is crumble like he's struggling. Slowly the moon turns to red, everyone is shocked and amazed. 

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!" Both of us shout so loud, the pain is unbearable. 

Slowly we shift into wolves, when I look at Kai, I step back because of disbelief.

His color are Blue and White, the same on my dream. He looked at me, I saw my reflection in his Blue eyes, I have my pink eyes. My guard hairs are color Red and white, exactly the same on my dream. I avoid his gazed.

"My dear wolves, here are the anointed wolves that will bring the dignity and power to our clan," My dad said to everyone.

"My daughter is alive, I sent her to human world and came back here at age of 16 then continue her training." Everyone rejoice to the announcement.

The alpha came closer to me to congratulate me, as I look at him intently, I envision his future: He will be killed because of me.

I go to Kai and look at him closer.

"Hey, congrats," he said through telepathy. I did not answer, I look at him intently.

I'm shaking and feel weak on what I just saw,

"Hey, are you okay?" He said but I just look at him like a fear cat, my tears started to fall. 

Kai,

Kai will be die,

He will be killed

By me.

What I am seeing?
