Chapter 5: She's back.

Lai's POV

Another world had opened, a world that scared me. Will I survive in this world until the end? How, if I don't know what will be the end? 

"The anointed Luna has arrived!" Someone shouted, everyone who are busy in their own tasks stopped and looked at me intently. 

As I walked at the aisle where she was laying, I can feel their gazed, yet I never looked to anyone.  

"What took you so long?" He asked, I can't find a word to answer him because I'm ashamed.

"I've been looking for you, why did you need to leave?" I shook my head unstoppably, it's not my respond to his question, but it's for myself. 

I felt like the only thing that I could do now is to shake my head. I feel an arm tapping my left shoulder that's when a tear fell in my left eye. 

'I'm sorry, I will always be sorry that you died like this. I didn't even got a chance to say that I love you."

I prevented myself from crying, I feel like I don't have the right to feel sad, because it's me cause this trouble.

"You can cry, it's also your lost, it is your mother anyway." Again, I shook my head.

"What are your plans? Shall we go there and start the battle? Tell me what you want me to do and I will obey it," I said instead. 

Suddenly, he grabbed me and give me a warm hug. I clenched my hands to prevent myself from breaking down. 

"I didn't notice that my daughter grow this far. Does this world is giving you a hard time?" He asked as he hugged me tightly.

"It must have been hard for you, I'm sorry if I can't protect you from the burden you're experiencing," he said like he knows everything, like he knew what I'm dealing with. 

"You don't need to worry about me, I'd grown so much so I can handle myself. I'm so sorry for your lost, excuse me," I said and excuse myself.

"Where are you going? We will burry your mother later on, you shouldn't miss it. I don't want you to regret later on," he said like he's giving me a warning. 

I froze, having a hard time to walk away or to stay and watch her being buried. 

Slowly, I turned around, his broad shoulder spotted by my eyes. 

"Continue without me, I need sometime alone," I said. 

Just like before when things aren't on my favor, I choose to run away, it isn't because I'm afraid to face the unfortunate situation but because I'm too scared to face the people, I disappointed. 

Just simply running away sometimes is better to solve things than keep on facing it unready, 'cause it buys you the time to think and sometimes to heal.

As I walked to the cliff, I spotted him sitting near end. I hide at the big ginkgo tree and watched him. I wanted to go beside him but I chose to be with him from a far. It's the best decision for the both of us, so there will be no day that we will end up hurting each other. 

I waited for him to leave, half an hour later. Now, it's my turn to sit where he sat. It feels so nice to be in top when you see the good scenery below. I also want to be in this top but if it will cause so bad, I just want to disappear.

The sun was almost ready to set, as I watched how it collide with the moon. I senses something, someone is watching me.

I acted like I do not notice it but I never let my guard down. I started to walked back to our campsite, I walked slowly until an arrow passed by on my left side. 

I froze and immediately duck and turned around to see who it was but I saw no one. I was about to continue walking, but an striking arrows continue to passed by my side. 

I'm the target for sure but how come that I can't see where's the suspect hiding.

I ran faster as I could, although I want to disappear but I can't die yet, not now that my people needed me. 

The arrow came from above, it means that the person's who is targeting me was somewhere in the tree. So I decided to hide in the one of the biggest tree here.

I ducked and slowly walked going back and I holding a some leaves to cover myself. 

It was a girl who is on the tree holding a bow. She was wearing a dark green hoodie. I can't see her face but I can sense her aura. 

When she go down at the tree, I immediately grabbed her hands and locked her at the tree.

"Who are you? What do you need?" I asked and she smiled seemed like teasing me,so I pushed her harder on the tree. 

In a swift motion she managed to escaped and we changed in position.

"It's so nice to meet you dear, I've heard many stories about you, seems some of them aren't that true." She slowly revealed her face but I did not look at her eyes.

"I'm the real anointed Luna," she slowly said which caught me on guard. 

When she grabbed my attention, I looked at her in eyes but I can't see her future.

After I internalize what she said, that's the time when something in my body changed.

"You killed our Queen," I angrily said like any minute, I will explode.

"So what if I am?" She said, trying to test my patience. 

"YOU KILLED OUR QUEEN!" I repeated, this time I'm about to explode.

'She killed my mother!'

"You should blame yourself because you run away. You didn't protect your Queen, your mother. Anyway, will it matter, as far as I know, you aren't that close to her." She smiled devilishly and her brows go up and down. 

"Awooooo!" I howl loudly,without any warning I transform into wolf. I saw how she looked shock and I am also.

Seemed something changed in my body and I can't control it.

I tried to stopped myself from attacking but my body can't. Luckily, she was also fast so she protected herself.

"Awooooooooooo!" I howl again, much louder this time. 

Slowly, my mind losing its ability to think carefully. I become furious like I really wanted to kill her.

What is happening to my body?
