Chapter 37: Lilith finally admitted defeat
Raine gave Blaze a sympathetic look once he was done recounting everything to her.
Her eyes widened in disbelief after a moment of processing everything in her mind.
“Wait! So, you kidnapped Lilith?” Raine queried as she bit down on her lower lip to hold in her amusement.
“Everyone will be shameless during critical moments.” Blaze pointed out.
“That’s not the way to do things, Blaze.” Raine said in between chuckles.
Usually Raine was the one shouting all the time, not without any reason though. She knew when to stay silent and when to start yelling at Blaze for things he did wrong.
Blaze would simply ignore her though and this time as well, he remained quiet and waited till she was done nagging him.
This time around though, she kept talking and talking.
His torso fell forward, supporting himself with his elbows on his thighs as he drew his hands down his face in frustration.
