Chapter 38: I like you more
“I don’t want to lose you. I’ll make you accept the mate bond between us.” Blaze declared. His voice, deep and gravelly with undisguised want, scraped over her.
“Whatever’s happening between us. One minute we’re fighting and the next…” His voice trailed off.
“Last night… it wasn’t only your heat or the full moon. There was something else. You can’t deny that feeling, Lilith. You need to accept it.” He murmured into her ear.
His breath grazed her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
Blaze’s breath caught when he heard Lilith sniffling.
He pulled back with a sad smile to give her some space but there was disappointment in his eyes.
“You avoid me, but you care for me… You hate me, but you don’t really hate me. I…I just don’t get it. Do you really feel nothing for me?” He queried.
