Asher's pov

The spell's effect wore off with time and Maya woke up from her unconsciousness but was looking unsettled and weak. I quickly stood up from my chair and went to give her some support as she stood up from where she laid. She said no word and stared blankly as I thanked Edward and we left. I was guessing that whatever she found out was still heavy news that she just recieved, probably heavier than the history of the white wolves that Tommy and Shalom told her during her consultation. She looked shaken as her eyes were unfocused while I led us both to the car.

I helped her get into the passenger's seat and moved over to the driver's seat and got in.
